View descriptionShare

The Democratic Alliance is demanding Justice Minister Thembi Simelane's accountability following allegations of her involvement in the VBS Mutual Bank scandal. The Minister reportedly took a R500,000 loan from a company involved in unlawful VBS investments during her tenure as Polokwane Mayor in 2016. DA MP and Spokesperson on Justice and Constitutional Development, Advocate Glynnis Breytenbach has requested the Minister to appear before the Justice Parliamentary Portfolio to answer to these allegations. Meanwhile, the GOOD party is calling President Cyril Ramaphosa to urgently act against Justice Minister Thembi Simelane amid the reported VBS links. To elaborate further Elvis Presslin spoke to Brett Herron, GOOD Secretary-General and Member of the Western Cape Provincial Parliament
