The Ahmed Kathrada Foundation has been admitted as a friend of the court in the matter between the Electoral Commission of South Africa, IEC and uMkhonto weSizwe Party. The Constitutional Court will this Friday hear the IEC's challenge on former President Jacob Zuma's eligibility to serve in Parliament. The IEC is challenging the Electoral Court's decision to allow Zuma to contest elections this month despite having a criminal conviction for contempt of court.
