Pete Kaliner joins First News on 570 with another deep dive into the complex web of corruption and cronyism that is the Charlotte Mecklenburg School Board. He tells us about a recent school board meeting where the chair, Stephanie Sneed, defended herself against allegations of corruption, claiming she's being attacked and framed as a victim. However, evidence suggests otherwise. It's pay-to-play politics, where connected individuals set up consulting firms and nonprofits to soak up taxpayer funds.

Pete also gets to cover a separate scandal involving police officers who allegedly shared racist text messages, leading to the suspension and resignation of several officers. It's all happening in the Democratic mecca.
