The 2026 election was the "Blue Wave" the Democrats were looking for. Pete Kaliner joins First News on 570 to discuss the historically bad midterm. The wave was more of a tsunami that flipped the balance of power in Washington and in Raleigh. Pete says now Democrats have to pay off on their promises and we need to prepare for North Carolina to start turning farther left like has happened in Virginia, where Democrats have implemented gun restrictions and abortion on demand. We also discuss the disconnect between the Republican Party's message and the younger generation, who feel ignored and unrepresented.
