“Life is a Michelin-Starred Buffet” – Payman Lorenzo Interview

View descriptionShare

This week’s guest is passionate – about life, about the role of business in creating positive change in the world, about making every day an adventure.

Payman seems like he’s done everything. He has lived in several countries, speaks several languages, is self-employed, and is excited about being alive. We talk about life being a series of spiritual lessons, what you can and can’t control, about making your life impactful in the ways it can be.

KEY TAKEAWAYS

- Inspiration can happen anywhere including in the most “regular” occurrences like washing dishes; you need to be willing to follow it whenever it calls.

- Happiness is nobody’s responsibility but our own. We have a responsibility to our own souls to find and create our own.

  • Your dreams are often a long-term investment. It’s like a baby, you must feed it and care for it before it begins to pay off. Keep the goal in sight.

BEST MOMENTS

“I see life as a buffet…I want to try as many dishes as possible.”

“Follow your heart, follow something that…keeps it alive, makes it stronger day by day and minute by minute. That’s where the magic happens.”

“We all need to make money, but let’s do it in a way that’s meaningful, impactful and purposeful.”

“I’m not afraid of dying. I’m not saying that I want to die today, but that I know when this life is over, it’s not game over.”
