Lola

Welcome to your Diary episode. Here's the thing. I'm a bit of a nomad, so these episodes come to from wherever I'm living or traveling to at the time, so I'll share with you what's going on in my world, from book tours, animal encounters, delish meals, nature adventures, health discoveries to swimming in Hidden Byron Bay Beaches. Come with me as I share my adventures with you. Hello, Welcome to your Diary pod. Coming to on fourth of July from Los Angeles. We are getting ready to head to the Hollywood Bowl tonight for a firework spectacular and to see Harry Chronic Junior. How fun. So the week that was in La Oh my goodness, there's I have things to road test for you. I've collected, as always, lots of bits and bobs always do, don't I. But basically the week has been I've got my week plan out here. Essentially, I have been I think I told you I've been helping manage a yog studio. It's a temporary gig, but it is it's like a lot of a lot of hours, a lot of work. So I have been teaching a lot of yogus, managing, not yogs, but the studio and then in between all of that doing pods and prepping pods. And I'm very excited for you to listen to Monday's pod because it is with Damon Harryman from The Bike Riders. He's also from loads and loads of other shows. He's very famous for being Charles Manson in not one but two shows, so in Once Upon a Time, in Once Upon a Time in Hollywood with Margo Brad pitt Leo DiCaprio, he plays Charles Manson in that, and he also plays Charles Manson in My Under the Netflix TV show Wonderful in both but he's done so so much stuff that Artful Dodger show on Disney if you were a fan of mist in between Incredible Hitman Aussie show he plays the lovable I believe his character's name is Freddie. He's like a lovable villain in that show. But anyway, he's an incredible Aussie actor that spends a lot of time out here in la And we sat down to have a little chat ahead of the movie that has just dropped in Australia. It's called The Bike Riders. It's been out for two weeks in America. I'm really hoping the Boss and I get to see it in the next couple of days, but that's going to come out on Monday, and then on Sunday, I've got an interview with an actor off the new Planet of the Apes king I think it's called Kingdom of the Planet of the Apes, the one that's just come out, So we had to go and see Planet of the Apes. We saw it. It's just stopped hearing in LA so we just caught it a day beforehand. So that was so fun. There's something so special about watching a movie when you know you're like super hyper focused on one of the characters because you know you're interviewing them. It's like one of my favorite things about podcasting, especially when it comes to creatives, whether it's authors and getting to read their book, or an actor and getting to watch their movie or their show. So that's been a lot of fun deep diving the actor that I'm interviewing in two more sleeps. I cannot wait what else to tell you. I'm just looking at my week. That was my week, that was I've had a fair few meetings with Kylo I think I told you last week. I've jumped on board as their American ambassador, and so I've been meeting with their nutritionists because they've got some things going on behind the scenes, which is really exciting. I've got a meeting this weekend with a publicist here and just in regard to you know, La and it's a very different beast to Australia and just how to like navigate it essentially, which is I'm actually really really excited about it, to be honest. What else I might be doing another intensive sitcom training Oh no, in the next week, so I can update you on that. And then food wise, I did try an Air one dark chocolate nut butter cup. This is a peanut butter crunch seventy percent cocao sweet with organic coconut sugar, super low sugar. It has two grams of sugar in it. The ingredients are organic dark chocolate, organic cacao mass, organic coconut sugar, organic cocao butter, organic peanut butter with organic peanuts, organic cocou butter, and organic coco nips. That's it, and it has only two grams of sugar. Really good alternative if you want something sweet. It definitely tastes healthy. You know, when you have something sweet and you're like, oh, that's really hitting the spot. This was more like, ooh, this is dark chocolate. And I just so happened to have to cover a yoga class one day that I wasn't meant to work, and then ended up working a few hours after I didn't have a chance to eat, and I had these and it did the trick. It was so satiating, it was great. I also got a green juice from there. So the ingredients are organic cucumbers, organic spinach, organic ramon ramine, romaine, lettuce, organic mint, and organic lemon. Really nice. I also found, I think I told you about this last week, there's a rap there that I'm now loving. It's a turkey rap but it's got like some kind of yummy cheese pickles in it, bit of mayo, bit of mustard, all my flavor combos and it's still in the colard green wrap. So great if you can't do gluten like me. Now what else? Since we last spoke, we have been poppuccino sitting, which has been so much fun. Beautiful Magnus and Moanas came to stay. We love dogs sitting because we love doggoes ofs oh I did take photos all these other things. I went to Blue Bottle and got my first ice flat coffee of the summer season, so summer's officially here. I tried a new Ollipop flavor. Now, you know, ollipop is that kind of like soda drink, but it's got plant fiber in it, really yummy. I tried the ginger Ale. It was really good. Boss picked up this fudgy cookie dough ice cream from Trader Joe's Vanilla ice cream with chocolate chip cookie dough pieces, sea salt, fudgy swirl and chocolate chips. It was really good. I think I've told you that Trader Joe's do this delicious gluten free kind of like coconuts. It's like a coconut sultana biscuit cookie thing, and so we heat it up for like fifteen seconds and then put this fudgy cookie dough ice cream on top. So good. In the last week, we've also had Justin's peanut butter cups. We got the white one organic, we had one each. We went to Whole food We discovered a really huge, amazing Whole Foods not far from us, and we got small small's bites. I figure fourth of July crunchy cookie and marshmallow en robed in semi sweet chocolate, quite nice, quite Moorish. So that was that. Oh oh yeah, I've been going through a bit of a porridge phase this week. We also got we were noticing we're both having a lot of allergies. I don't know if it's an ala thing, I don't know what it is, but I get XM around my eyes. Boss was getting really sore, itchy eyes, and we're both waking up like congested, but obviously not sick, just congested like kind of like allergies. So we got an air purifier. I've never had one before. Obviously, like La has a lot more pollution. And also we're literally in the desert, like although it's a city, we're in the desert and so like if you hike, you come back and you feel like you're covered in dust a lot of the time. So we got this air pury. It's great. So the brand we got is called lavot l E and the E has a little hat on it vo it. It's really good. We put on every night. It's got like a nightmode, doesn't make a sound. It is so flippin' good. So so good. What else to tell you? Yeah, I took a photo of that rap I was telling you about. Yeah, they're are my meetings I took photos of. Boss has been sending me to work with lots of leftovers. I'm not having blood sugar crashes, so I've been looked after. I'm in very safe hands, my friends. I haven't been reading, to be honest with you, and I really want to, but I haven't been reading. So I am That's something i'd like to try and do this week. I've got meetings on my days off, but I'm hoping tomorrow we can go and see the bike riders. We really want to do a PT session. I'm going to prep this podcast I've got on Sunday and prep. I've got a publicist meeting, and then we're trying to organize a little getaway to Palm Springs, So I want to do a little bit of booking and whatnot for Palm Springs. So that's us. And it's fourth of July here. So like you see, like last night when I was driving home from work, fireworks going off, whether it's Dodgers Stadium, whether it's the Hollywood Bowl, and where we live, we have a rooftop. So even tonight, when we get home from the Hollywood Bowl, I'm going to jet upstairs and see if I can see more fireworks. But I think we're going to get to see so many fireworks at the Hollywood Bowl today. We're literally leaving in like an hour, so I think it'll be unflipp and real. I don't know. I said to Boss, we should try and drive because we're not crazy far away from it. I was like, we should just try and drive and when the traffic starts getting bad, find a park and then just walk in. And he's like, oh, no, we're going to uber. I'm like, you, I understand. You do not understand, my friend, it is we'll be in gridlock. The only thing about both the Dodgers or Hollywood Bowl, like it's amazing once you get there. It's the getting there that is really stressful, and the getting out of there that's really stressful. So I think I'm going to try and mcguy for it and park somewhere like super savvy and go on foot. That's what I think. Anyway. I'm sure i'll report back for you with you next week. What have I got on next week? Oh yep, just teaching a shit tone of yoags. Basically, I've still been auditioning and doing fun stuff, but I am I will say the yogs is taking up a huge chunk of my day, but that's cool. Also, it's a really lucky day today. When you hear this Friday the fifth, also Saturday the sixth, and Sunday the seventh, they're three really good manifesting days. If you didn't hear it the Monday episode on the pod with Daisy from Spiritual Mixtape, he literally breaks down our astrology for the rest of the year. But she was saying this Friday, which is where you are now if you're listening to this, Saturday and Sunday really great days to manifest. So just wanted to say that, just wanted to put that out there. Go out there and manifest, you know. Yeah, that's me. And we've got a big full moon in Capricorn, a strawberry moon, so that's happening on the twenty first of July. So lots of clearing house. Apparently this whole year is like a karmic year, where like people that have wronged you kind of like get their karma and whatnot. So do good, be good and then there's another lucky Day on the twenty fifth of July, So lots of good days to like, send emails, you know, get a lot of stuff done that you want to get done. Anyway. That's me. Haven't got anything else to tell you, my friends. I don't believe I do. That was it. That was my check in. Like I said, if you haven't listened to Daisy on Monday's episode and you want a bit of guidance for the rest of the year, it is literally your astrology from now till December, go have a listen. She's also on the hot seat as well and shares some great tips on the Wednesday hot Seat and then Monday coming up. So Monday the eighth you will get the awesome demon Harryman and all things bike Riders. He's absolutely unreal and I cannot wait for you to hear that episode. I was so excited slash nervous to interview him. So I hope you love it all right, my friends, hooru. I think you're wonderful. Go manifest do that cool stuff. Write your wishes down, write your dreams down, and yeah, let's make those dreams come true, all right, boy,
