He explains that Cohen felt aggrieved by Trump, wanted a high White House role, served prison time for him, and later sought a pardon from the Biden administration that he did not receive, which helped push him back toward Trump’s orbit. Conway argues that Cohen’s recent claims do not amount to a real recantation, while Trump is exaggerating them for his own benefit. He also says Trump is dragging the Republican Party down, pointing to his low approval, the coming midterms, rising corruption reporting, and efforts to interfere with voting by using the Postal Service in ways Conway says are transparently corrupt and designed to create confusion rather than actually work.
