He's Running To STOP This Cycles Worst Candidate w/ Blake Gendebien

Democratic nominee Blake Gendebien joins host Molly Jong-Fast to make the case for his run in New York's 21st Congressional District, the seat held by Congresswoman Elise Stefanik. A dairy farmer, basketball coach and school board president who milks 500 cows on 1,200 acres and serves as vice chairman of the Agri-Mark dairy cooperative, he says that although the district is Trump +21, he leads opponent Anthony Constantino by four points in the latest Siena poll. He contrasts himself with Constantino, pointing to his rival's giant Trump sign, his rap album Thank You Donald Trump, his payments to Roger Stone and his support for every Trump policy. Gendebien focuses on North Country issues, from high diesel, gasoline and heating oil costs to hospitals closing and Medicaid cuts threatening rural maternity care, unpredictable tariffs, a trade war with Canada and an absentee representative. He also highlights his union endorsements, his door-knocking ground game and his appeal to Trump voters, and notes that early voting starts that day. After the interview, Molly and Jesse Cannon break down the DOJ's plan to send election monitors to Colorado counties after Todd Blanche's evasive comments on election interference, and Elon Musk's $1 billion investment in Ellison's heavily indebted Skydance deal. They also cover Musk's roughly $450 million in midterm spending, including support for Ken Paxton, and his threat to jail Kara Swisher over her comments about Tesla's self-driving claims, before closing with the Supreme Court allowing New Hampshire to ban student IDs for voting and the resignation of HHS adviser Calley Means.
