Hello, and welcome to the week twelve edition of Stats with Sam. This is a microcast where I Sam Hoppin go over five key stats that stand up to meet from a fantasy football perspective to help you make your starter sit, your waiver, and your trade decisions, ultimately hoping to get you that championship trophy. We are in the home stretch now trying to get you to the playoffs and then get you that trophy. But before I get the stats, if you want a chance to win assigned Josh Allen Bill's helmet for free courtesy of our friends at Pristineauction dot com, all you need to do is head to Fantasypros dot com slash contest, complete the form and either download the Fantasy Pros My Playbook app, leave a review for the podcast, or follow us on x, Instagram or TikTok at Fantasy Pros and the more actions you complete, the more entries will receive. So we have six teams on by this week, So going to go over some potential streaming options for you. I'll start off with the quarterback position and then to wrap up the show will cover a couple of tight ends. But if you're looking for a starting quarterback this week that is likely on your waiver wire, my favorite is going to be Geno Smith. I think if the Seahawks want a chance to win the game against the Cardinals, they'll have to do so passing the ball the ego excuse me. The Seahawks are still third in explosive pass rate and Smith will obviously have his full set of weapons in Jackson Smith and Jagbad, Dk Metcalf and Tyler Lockett this week as well and Arizona, their defense barely gets any pressure on opposing quarterbacks. They rank third, last or third worst in pressure rate this season, and Gino has absolutely cooked defenses when he's had a clean pocket. He has a four point four percent completion percentage over expectation from a clean pocket, which is fifth best in the league. So really like Gino Smith this week hasn't been the fantasy star that I think people some people may have expected him to be, But with that set of weapons against a below average Arizona pass defense. I think he has an opportunity to have one of his best years of the season. Want to talk real quickly about the Bears running back situation. The Bears traded away Khalil Herbert to the Bengals a couple of weeks ago, and that left the Bears with a two headed committee in the backfield between DeAndre Swift and Roshawn Johnson. This backfield was once previously led by Swift, but that may be shifting a bit because his fifty seven percent snapshare in Week eleven was his second lowest of the season, while Johnson's forty two percent share was his first game over forty percent. This week, Johnson got eleven opportunities to Swift's sixteen, and that split feels like it'll be representative going forward. Head coach Matt Iberflu said after the game, I think the distribution in the run game was good when he was referencing the workload distribution between these two backs. I think the most notable things as well is that Johnson got three of the four touches inside the opponent's ted yard line, and Swiss routes run rate dipped below forty percent for the second time in the last four games, something that didn't happen at all in the first game. So I think with iber Flus's postgame comments and with Thomas Brown calling plays for the first time this week, I do consider this type of usage to have a lot of signal of what's to come. If you're in a position where you've clinched the playoffs or are looking like you're going to be in the playoffs, you have some extra roster depth and want to stash a player at receiver that could put up some big weeks in the future, I would suggest Kishan Bhuti of the New England Patriots. He ran a route on all but one of New England's dropbacks this past week. He's also one of just two Patriots wide receivers to have run a route on more than sixty percent of Drake May's dropbacks. Kaishawn has had at exactly six targets in the last four games. He does profile as New England's deep threat, with an average depth of target over sixteen yards in all but one game since Week five, so is production will be much more volatile. But again, if you're looking for a potential flex option in deeper leagues than I think Boute could be a solid fill in player. Want to wrap up the show talking about two streamer options at tight end, the first being Will Disley, who finished as the tight end five in week eleven, and I'm inclined to think that this performance is not a fluke for a couple of reasons. First, he has at least six targets in four of his last five games, and that's despite his routes run rate actually dipping in two consecutive weeks, So if his route share jumps back up to what it was previously, then he should continue to earn more targets. He's also the tight end thirteen in half PPR over that five game stretch that I mentioned, and the Chargers continue to be more pass heavy, with a positive pass right over expected in four of their last five games, so I think Disley's volume will continue for the Chargers. They obviously do not have a ton of reliable playmakers outside of Lad McConkey at this point in the passing game, so I think Disley could be a solid fill in option for you going forward. The final player I want to wrap up with is John Us Smith, another guy who whose performance I don't think is necessarily fluke. Now, I don't expect him to be scoring multiple touchdowns each week, but he did tie his season high in targets with eight in Week eleven, and he now has at least six targets in five of his last six games. He's also been on the field a lot more since the Dolphins Week six buy. In the first five games, his routes run rate was at forty seven percent, and in the five games since thereby it's been up to seventy two percent, so twenty five percent more on the field running routes, and his twenty one percent target share since the buy actually leads the Dolphins. So I was out on Smith earlier this year when he had his first breakout game, but the Dolphins have clearly made him a big part of that offense and have continued to do so while to a Tango Bailoa is under center, which was one of my bigger concerns in terms of how things would change when he returned. So really like John new Smith, I think they'll be continue to be in a fair number of high scoring affairs to end the season. So that will do it for this episode, and actually this season of Stats with Sam. This will be my final week with Fantasy Pros doing content for them, so I want to say thank you to everyone who has listened all season long and has given support to the show. Good luck in Week twelve and the rest of the season, and hope to hear some good stories about you winning your championship in your leagues.
