Director (and co-writer) Ryan Coogler did not follow the typical Marvel movie formula (lots of explosions, lots of one-liners), instead opting for a more nuanced story that still has gorgeous visuals and trademark Marvel action, and both Adam and Andy feel the movie is a richer experience for it.
