Today the nerds at the Fan Effect podcast deep dive into probably one of the most looked forward to films of 2021, “Ghostbusters: Afterlife.” This latest continuation of the Ghost hunting sort takes place some 30 plus years after the original, wherein a new generation of busters takes up the call to fight those pesky visitors from beyond the grave. While the first segment is spoiler-free, the rest of the show dives deep into the new film, Ghostbusters lore, and a lot of fun tangents. While some critics are blasting the film as pandering, the consensus here is that  “Ghostbusters: Afterlife” is a blast and what audiences have wanted from a nostalgic sequel.
