Historical and Theological References

The Mormon Church (Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints). Holds the world's largest liquid religious wealth with estimates between 265 and 400 billion dollars, funded by a highly centralized tithing system and a massive investment portfolio overseen from Salt Lake City, Utah. The Department of War's June 2026 decision to slash its recognized Christian church designations from over 200 to 31 excluded the LDS Church entirely. Leah, who was born and raised in Salt Lake City, notes there is no real separation of church and state in Utah and frames the exclusion as a political power play rather than a theological determination.

Sacrifice to Moloch. The ancient Canaanite practice of offering firstborn children to the god Moloch in exchange for prosperity, wealth, and a better life. Referenced throughout the Old Testament as one of the abominations that provoked God's judgment. The Fallen Technologies of the Watchers.
