CULTURE

View descriptionShare

Culture is the collective expression of a community. But what happens at the intersectionality of queer culture and your culture of birth? What happens when, as migrants, your culture becomes an immovable, stagnant identity, that clings to its point of origin?
Queer people have often felt a sense of rejection from their culture of birth, and in doing so have created and become a part of a vibrant, supportive culture, birthed from and through the community.
In this episode we discuss this complex relationship we have to the two cultures of our lives as queer people of colour, and migrants to Australia, and how we navigate the space between them.
