Howard Penn, Executive Director of the Planning & Conservation League, (PCL) came on the program to urge listeners to support the Land and Water Conservation Fund.

For 54 years, the Land and Conservation Fund has provided critical funding for land and water conservation projects, access to recreation including hunting and fishing, and the continued historic preservation of our nation’s iconic landmarks from coast-to-coast.

Funding comes from off shore oil drilling licenses and are distributed across the nation. No taxpayer dollars are used. The LWCF is due to expire September 30th 2018. New legislation is need to renew funding for the program.
