The Riverside County Department of Environmental Health (RCDEH) is responsible for protecting the health and welfare of the public. 

RCDEH has numerous inspection programs from their food facility inspection program that grades restaurants to swimming pool inspection at hotels, schools and community pools as well as hazardous materials and vector control programs. All of these programs help keep the public safe.

Dottie Merki, Program Chief and Public Information Officer came on the program to highlight two national awards the RCDEH recently received.
