The Riverside County Department of Child Support Services (DCSS) works with parents and guardians to ensure children and families receive court-ordered financial and medical support.
For the first time in 19 years, the Riverside County Department of Child Support Services will receive a significant increase in funding.
The additional $5.4 million will provide financial and emotional stability to families, and in return, aid the local economy.
Yaoska Machado Public Information Specialist for Riverside County came on the program to talk about how the funds will be used to hire 29 case workers, which will allow for shorter processing times and increase the number of families that DCSS can help each year.
