New Laws Will Affect Employers

View descriptionShare

California Legislators sent Governor Jerry Brown 1,217 bills to consider in his final bill-signing period as Governor—more than any California governor has seen since 2004.

Quite a few significant new employment laws will take effect Jan. 1, 2019, posing new interpretation and compliance challenges for employers.

Labor and employment attorney Kristina Launey, Managing Partner of the Sacramento office of law firm Seyfarth Shaw came on the program to talk about some of the new California laws and how they could affect employers doing business in the state.
