California Food for California Kids® supports systems change by improving children's health, education, and the state's economy while teaching students where food comes from and how it reaches the table.
During the summer children can face hunger or poor nutrition in households that rely on the National School Lunch Program during the school year.
“With this campaign, we aim to give all children ages 18 and younger access to free, healthy meals all summer long,” according to Leyla Marandi Program Manager with the Center for Ecoliteracy.
