Sue and Kendra talked with Gina Varamo, the Chief Development Officer of Stone House. Stone House opened its doors in 1974 as an alternative to institutionalization for women with mental health issues. Since then, they've evolved into an essential home/community space for adult, child and family survivors of domestic violence.

Gina is very familiar with the Stone House having participated in its Wilderness Heals event, an all-women, 3-day hike in the White Mountains as a hiker since 2018 and taking on expanded volunteer roles for it, the organization’s biggest fundraiser.
