Lola and Sandra were an unlikely pair. Twenty years apart in age, they went from workmates to best friends—bonding over dark humour, Friday wines, dating disasters and eventually, one of the hardest periods of Lola's life.

When Lola was diagnosed with breast cancer, Sandra became her rock. But as Lola fought for her life and slowly began rebuilding it, something in their friendship started to change.

She'd been there through the darkest days. But as life finally started getting brighter, the friendship began to change—and the person who'd once been her rock started to feel very different.
