"Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you."
Matthew 7:7

Have you ever felt like God was distant, silent, or difficult to find?

In today's episode of Everyday Joy, Ash and Shaylee unpack one of Jesus' most encouraging promises from the Sermon on the Mount: ask, seek, and knock.

Together, they explore the truth that God isn't hiding from us. He invites us to come to Him with everything, not just the "big" problems. Whether it's a difficult season, a major life decision, uncertainty about the future, or simply needing wisdom for today, God welcomes us into His presence.

Ash and Shaylee also discuss the difference between seeking God's hand and seeking God's heart. While many of us approach prayer hoping for answers, provision, or breakthrough, often God uses the process of seeking to transform us, strengthen us, and draw us closer to Him.

Through a beautiful picture of friendship and familiarity, they reflect on how a relationship with Jesus grows over time. What begins with knocking on the door can eventually become the kind of relationship where we know His voice, trust His character, and confidently walk into His presence.

If you've been feeling spiritually dry, disconnected, or unsure where to start, this conversation is a reminder that God is closer than you think and that He promises to meet those who seek Him.
