"Make your light shine so others will see the good you do and will praise your Father in heaven."
Matthew 5:16

What if the moments that make the biggest difference are the ones nobody else notices?

In today's reflection, Ash unpacks Jesus' challenge to "let your light shine" and explores what it means to reflect God's love in the ordinary moments of everyday life.

So often we can fall into the trap of believing that impact is reserved for people with big platforms, large audiences, or extraordinary stories. But Jesus paints a very different picture. He reminds us that being a light isn't about being famous. It's about being faithful.

Whether it's showing kindness to a stranger, encouraging a friend, extending forgiveness, offering patience, or simply choosing love when it's difficult, God uses ordinary acts of faithfulness to point people toward Him.

This episode is a beautiful reminder that the people around us will often learn more about God's character through the way we treat them than through anything we say. Our everyday actions have the power to reveal His kindness, grace, compassion, and love.

If you've ever wondered whether your life makes a difference, this reflection will encourage you to remember that God shines through ordinary people in extraordinary ways every single day.

Because the goal isn't for people to notice us.

The goal is for people to notice Jesus.

Reflection Questions:

If the people around you only knew God through the way you treated them this week, what would they learn about Him?

Where is God giving you an opportunity to be a light right now?

What is one practical way you can reflect God's kindness, patience, or grace this week?
