"Keep away from worthless and useless talk. It only leads people further away from God."
2 Timothy 2:16

Just because you have an opinion doesn't mean you need to share it.

In today's episode of Everyday Joy, Ash and Shaylee unpack Paul's challenge to avoid "worthless and useless talk" and explore what that might look like in today's world of social media, comment sections, online debates, and endless opinions.

Together, they discuss the growing culture of argument, outrage, and division, and why so many Christians find themselves distracted by conversations that don't actually help people grow closer to God.

Ash and Shaylee reflect on the difference between healthy discussion and divisive debate, why not every issue is a salvation issue, and how easy it can be to get caught up in conflicts that produce far more heat than light.

This episode also challenges listeners to think carefully about the way they speak both online and offline. Are our words building people up? Are they pointing people toward Jesus? Or are they simply adding more noise to an already noisy world?

Because maturity isn't having an opinion on everything.

Sometimes maturity is knowing when to stay quiet.

If you've ever found yourself frustrated by online arguments, Christian infighting, or the temptation to jump into every debate, this conversation will encourage you to focus on what truly matters.
