"Treat others just as you want to be treated."
Luke 6:31

It sounds like a simple verse. Until someone hurts you.

In today's episode of Everyday Joy, Ash and Tiani unpack one of Jesus' most famous teachings: "Treat others just as you want to be treated." But what happens when the person in front of you has let you down, disagrees with you, or can't offer you anything in return?

Together, they explore why Jesus' words were so radical, both then and now. In a culture that often encourages division, retaliation, and keeping score, Jesus calls us to something completely different: compassion, grace, forgiveness, and love.

Tiani shares how this verse shaped her from a young age and reflects on the journey of learning how God treats us before we can truly learn how to treat others. The conversation also tackles difficult relationships, family struggles, disappointment, boundaries, and the challenge of loving people who don't always love us back.

This episode is a powerful reminder that kindness isn't just for people who deserve it. It's for everyone. Because that's exactly how God treats us.

If you've been struggling with forgiveness, difficult relationships, or learning how to love people well without compromising healthy boundaries, this conversation will encourage and challenge you.
