Darwin's Catholic Bishop Charles Gauci has threatened to close Catholic schools throughout NT, if the Territory's Labor Govt passes its anti-discrimination legislation without amendments. The bill means religious schools and healthcare providers wouldn't be able to hire people in leadership positions aligned to their faith. The legislation also includes penalties for people who cause "offence", without guidelines as to what may cause offence.
