Dr. Brian’s mission goes beyond medicine, he is restoring hope through reconstructive surgeries and raising funds for breast cancer survivors who can’t afford surgery. With Smile Artists Africa, he combines art and charity, bringing together some of South Africa’s finest artists to support this cause. Following the adoption of the Kunming-Montreal Global Biodiversity Framework, this year’s focus is on reversing biodiversity loss by 2030. Tonight on Africa at a Glance, we’re joined by Flora Mokgohloa, DDG of Biodiversity & Conservation at the Department of Forestry, Fisheries and the Environment who  will help us understand South Africa’s role in this critical global effort and what it means for our own biodiversity conservation efforts.
