This evening on “In Conversation with Dr Eve, we talk about the trauma of parenting. We take a deep dive- with compassion and no judgement - as to why parents/caregivers struggle to parent ... and this is because they themselves might not have been securely parented, that perhaps they were neglected, abandoned or sexually violated, living in an unsafe parental environment. This would make them anxious /afraid/guilty, highly disciplinarian or highly lax with no boundaries with their own children. We offer some ways of managing the trauma they experienced as children and how to present this being passed onto their own children and Dr Eve joins us for this discussion.
