South Africa faces major challenges of water scarcity. This is due to physical limits – low average rainfall; hot climate; poor management and maintenance, and inefficient use. We already have a water deficit which is growing and currently have water shedding on top of the loadshedding that we’re experiencing. When the government tries to fic one thing another gets broken somewhere else, what is going on? To help us understand what is happening with the water issues in South Africa we’re joined by Prof Anthony Turton, Professor at Centre For Enviromental Management At University Of The Free State.
