David Cooksley is an experienced Emergency and Retrieval Physician who currently works in the Emergency Department at the Sunshine Coast University Hospital and for LifeFlight Retrieval Medicine at their Maroochydore helicopter base. He has worked for four different retrieval services including twice with the London’s Air Ambulance, which is widely regarded as the world’s best pre-hospital trauma service. He is also a Wing Commander in the RAAF Specialist Reserve and is the Air Force’s Principal military critical care aeromedical transport team instructor and has successfully completed overseas training in military pre-hospital combat critical care.
