"Halasartan" – Stop Cancer – an organization that provides support to young adult cancer patients and survivors, held a special tattoo party in Tel Aviv – bringing top tattoo artists to provide community members with an artistic and personal way to commemorate their journey. Tattoo artist Amit Shamir spoke to KAN's Naomi Segal about the event and its significance.

Cancer survivors mark their journey with ink

The Herzog College English Education Department is hosting a special tribute evening Tuesday, June 20th, to honor the memory of Lucy Dee, who was murdered along with two of her daughters, Maia and Rina, in a terrorist attack in the Jordan Valley this past April. Lucy Dee was a graduate of the Herzog College English Education course, and a beloved English teacher. The tribute evening is taking place in Migdal Oz, and will also be viewable on Zoom. The evening will include tributes from Lucy's colleagues and classmates, pedagogical workshops, and discussion of ways to inspire others to emulate the passion, values and leadership Lucy modeled in her teaching. Herzog College faculty member Dr. Amy Gelbart spoke to KAN's Naomi Segal about the event.
