Tel Aviv this weekend launched a public transportation program offering bus service to residents of the city and surrounding areas over Shabbat. The service currently comprises minibuses operating along six routes that connect Tel Aviv with Ramat Hasharon, Givatayim and Kiryat Ono. The non-profit organization Noa Tanua has been operating bus lines on Saturdays since 2015. It worked together with the Tel Aviv municipality in planning the new weekend bus routes. KAN reporter Naomi Segal asked Noa Tanua chairman and founder Roy Schwartz Tichon how he thinks the first weekend went.
