Holocaust Martyrs' and Heroes' Remembrance Day in Israel began on Wednesday evening, corresponding with the 27th of Nisan on the Hebrew calendar. Rabbi and Professor Dalia Marx of Hebrew Union College in Jerusalem, and author of "About Time: Journeys in the Jewish-Israeli Calendar," told KAN's Naomi Segal how and why this date was chosen for the state remembrance day.
