Following Hizbullah's drone attack on the Karish gas rig , Caretaker PM Yair Lapid says "Hizbullah is continuing on its terror track and is harmful to Lebanon's attempts to reach a negotiated agreement on its maritime borders. Israel will defend itself, its citizens and its assets."

 Dr Mordehai Kedar from Bar Ilan University says Israel should respond to the gas rig attack by immediately suspending talks with Lebanon on the demarcation of the Mediterranean territorial waters.
