The Palestinian Authority has refused a $660 million  transfer of tax revenues collected by Israel on behalf of the PA after Israel deducted from the amount the sum that the PA pays to Palestinian prisoners and their families.

Israel was transferring the money in an effort to alleviate the critical shortage of funds faced by the West Bank government in Ramallah.

After world concerts, symphonic poem "Genesis" to be performed in Israel

The 41st Jerusalem Film Festival gets underway on July 18th with the traditional special opening ceremony under the stars at Jerusalem’s Sultan’s Pool before some 6,000 spectators with the screening of the film “Thelma.”

The Executive Director of the 41st Jerusalem Film Festival Roni Mahadav-Levin told reporter Arieh O’Sullivan that some 200 Israeli and international films will be shown at this year’s festival during the 10-day festival. (photo: courtesy)

41st Jerusalem Film Fest opening July 18th

A special Purim seuda, holiday meal, was held this week at Sheba medical center in Tel HaShomer for some 200 IDF injured soldiers. The event, which included a megillah reading, entertainment and more, was organized by Olamit Wolf, a Tel Aviv-based holistic therapist who has been involved in providing food to soldiers since the beginning of the war. She was involved in organizing similar events over the holiday at Ichilov hospital in Tel Aviv and the Beit Leowenstein Rehabilitation Center. Wolf spoke to KAN's Naomi Segal about initiative.
