Israeli filmmaker Guy Nattiv wins Oscar for "Skin"

View descriptionShare

Israeli filmmaker Guy Nattiv's film about race relations, "Skin," has won the Oscar for best live action short film. Accepting the award, Nattiv said that as the grandson of Holocaust survivors, he sees the bigotry that they experienced everywhere today in America and Europe. KAN reporter Naomi Segal asked Eyal Boers, head of the film and television track at Ariel University's School of Communication, and chairman of the Israel Film Council, if the win is a significant achievement for Israeli filmmaking.
