Now that Yair Lapid is prime minister, he will seek to convince voters he is capable of leading the country. Pollster and political consultant Mitchell Barak said that Lapid will have the advantage of not being burdened by maintaining the coalition or solving political challenges and could devote his time to running the country and boosting his image. But, as he stressed to reporter Arieh O’Sullivan, Lapid is the “interim” premier and his powers are limited.
