Every day, around 10 young adults between the ages of 18 and 44 years old are newly diagnosed with cancer. A first-of-it kind conference in Israel is being held in Tel Aviv, bringing together leading medical experts and professionals to address not only issues relating to cancer treatment for this demographic, but the impact cancer has on all aspects of their lives. The conference, Young Onset Cancer, is the initiative of Stop Cancer, an NGO in Israel tailored to young adult cancer patients and survivors. Hila Kaye, a volunteer with the organization, spoke to KAN reporter Naomi Segal.
