Four pure gold coins dating from the Early Islamic period, more than a thousand years ago, have been discovered in Jerusalem's Old City.
The coins were found in a juglet, a small pottery jar, that was unearthed during excavation work to build an elevator to make the Western Wall Plaza more accessible to visitors.
KAN's Mark Weiss spoke with Dr Robert Kool, the Israel Antiquities Authority coin expert.
