The Church at Smyrna was called the persecuted Church....and rightly so.Those who called themselves Jews stirred the pagan society to great acts of persecution against them. Yet, there was a more accurate description of the saints at Smyrna. They were the Heroic Church. Heroes went to that Church, as they gave glory to God not only in life, but in death as well.
