Mariafe Artacho del Solar is already an Olympic silver medalist in beach volleyball, but she’ll be gunning for gold at Paris 2024. 

In this episode of En Route to Paris, Mariafe shared her incredible journey from Peru to Australia, the pivotal moments that shaped her career, and the unwavering determination that drives her forward. After she moved to Australia at 11 years old with limited English, sport became her universal language; she played her first beach volleyball match on Manly Beach and for Mariafe, it “was like love at first sight.” 

She also opened up about how she goes about balancing elite sports with personal passions, including her latest venture into the world of loungewear fashion.

“I think it's really important to find who we are outside our sport… you're the human first.”
