In May 2020, at the end of a crystal meth-fuelled bender, Dani Laidley was arrested. In conversation with Luke Darcy she tells us exactly how that arrest came about, as we shine a light on the self-leadership Dani taps into at each twist and turn.

While in custody that night, Victoria police officers took and distributed photos of her with makeup streaming down her face. The invasive photos made front page news, publicly revealing Dani to the world for the first time.

Prior to that moment, we had all known Dean Laidley, the champion premiership-winning footballer with the West Coast Eagles and North Melbourne, who went on to be an outstanding senior coach at North Melbourne Football Club for seven seasons.
