En este séptimo episodio viajamos hasta México de la mano de Los Dug Dug's, una de las bandas fundacionales del rock psicodélico latinoamericano. Formados por Armando Nava a finales de la década de 1960 entre Durango y Tijuana, fueron pioneros en reinterpretar el rock británico y estadounidense en español, dando forma a un sonido que se convirtió en una de las piedras angulares del rock mexicano. Grabada en Seattle en 2025, esta Live on KEXP reúne a una de las bandas más influyentes en la historia del rock latinoamericano.

As we prepare for the second half of the year of El Sonido: Cancioneros, we're opening KEXP's official archives to revisit some of the most memorable Live on KEXP sessions by Latin American, Iberian, and Caribbean artists who have performed in our studios.

In this seventh episode, we travel to Mexico through Los Dug Dug's, one of the pioneering bands of Latin American psychedelic rock. Formed by Armando Nava in the late 1960s between Durango and Tijuana, the band helped define Mexican rock by reinterpreting British and American rock in Spanish, creating a sound that would influence generations of musicians. Recorded in Seattle in 2025, this Live on KEXP session celebrates one of the most influential groups in the history of Latin American rock.
