This is your first time at NFL Honors, but my friend, you came to show up and show out.
Congratulations. What's it feels to actually be here?
You said, it's kind of crazy taking it all in it is.
I mean, the moment all about it, you know, the lights and being here with my family, it's all just no, it's all a little bit surreal.
But I'm glad to share this moment with them.
Twenty four hours in Vegas.
A lot of times that is people's like that, that's it, that's all they can really handle that. They gotta go for you. You obviously have a big moment potentially coming up. Do you have anything prepared to say?
Prepared.
No, you know, I'm not going exactly spootball, but I know exactly who I need to think and unfortunately they're they're standing here with me, so right here.
Yeah, it's all prepared.
That's perfect.
So yeah, there's no need to prepare. You never have to get ready.
When you stay ready.
There's one man who does that.
It's mouthcare, okay, real quick, it's giving presidential.
It's giving clean, clean, fresh, and swell.
For the suit today and spell for the suit. Just the idea I'd been cooking up for a while.
You know, in the off season, I try to delve into my my fashion.
So something I had just cooked up.

Okay, this is a pretty big deal because we have the honorary captains for Super Bowl Sunday coming all the way from him to Luna High School, the Lunas Dean Ricord the head.
Coach, and Kalaaa the running back. You got have you taken it all in yet?
This is a big deal.
It certainly is a big deal, and yes, we're taking it all in. But at the same time, we're very excited to be here and very appreciative of the NFL for the invite.
Okay, can you tell us how you got the invitation? What that was?
Actually, I'll leave it to Colona because they were the ones that were surprised.
So, Colona, you want to go with that.
How did you find out?
Yeah, me and three of my other friends, we just got called into the principal's office.
Oh, that's usually not a good thing.
It wasn't a good thing. We thought we were in trouble for a little bit. Yeah, and then they put us on a zoom meeting and then Marcus Meyoto was there and other NFL Films officials and he said, you just he said, we want to take you guys to the Super Bowl to go for like the coin toss and see the captains. And we all were like shocked. We're all shocked. We looked at each other with disbelief.
Yeah, that is so cool. Live it up, have so much fun.
I'm so happy for you guys, and just make sure you drink it all in when you're on that field. In front of everyone for Super Bowl fifty eight in Las Vegas. How wild for you guys. Have so much fun and now we'll send it back out to Kevin and Melissa.

Tell us about that.
I am very proud and happy and excited to be here tonight. Tonight I'm going to be resenting the winners for the first nfl FLA Football Players of the Year.
This is such an amazing thing.
I get chills just to get about it, and I feel that it is another big step forward for the sport and I can be more proud and happy for what we have chieved and.
Where the sport is getting for the next generations.
I love that you're such a good ambassador.
You're the quarterback, You're the face of it.
I feel like and now that flag football is an Olympic sport. I mean, I've never met you before and First of all, I'm just like so.
Excited to actually talk to you.
I've been standing next to you for the first time, but you must be over the moon that it's finally in the Olympics.
The dream that is that dream, that dream come true.
I mean it is not only a personal dream for me as an athlete, but also for the whole flaffooable community worldwide. This is just an amazing thing and I feel that it will open many many doors and opportunities for the next generations, present and future generations of flaffoutable athletes. So I can be more proud to see where the sport is getting, more proud of all the flappable community worldwide that make this sport as amazing as it is. And grateful with nfl ifaff Io see and all the amazing people that make this possible.
And you've been such a huge part of not only being an ambassador but also inspiring other young women and girls to get into the sports.

What's great is the second you came up here. We had Cowboys fans on the side saying, oh my god, we've been Cowboys fans since the eighties. Michael Parson is here to be here NFL Honors and to know that you guys are still feeling the love.
How special is it for you?

Man, It's extremely special. I said the other day, I love Cowboys Nation. I'm extremely grateful to.

Ooh, I think that I'm extremely grateful that you are setting a new precedent. I think with comfort because what you have your footwear today tonight, this evening on the red car honesty and inspiration. And I can't believe it, Jay, that we did not do something.
I can't even feel my toes. Mike, I said, We're gonna be comfortable.

I don't know if you know anything about me.

What has this year been like for you?
What a whirlwind?
Yeah, it's definitely been surreal. Listen, I've been grateful for the opportunity to get back out in the field. And what an awesome place to go in the city at Cleveland. The people there just have welcomed me and my family like no other, and you know, same for the organization. So it's been it's been a lot of fun.
Joe Flacco is very tall everyone, in case you didn't know, I never realized that you were this tall.
I'm wearing like, I don't know, six inch heelds.
Yeah, this is pretty crazy.
What is the plan now for you?
Because you were such a fun surprise this year that you had all of the success.
It was so awesome to watch you absolutely crush it.
And now what like we're not done right, Like we we need more Joe Flacco in our lives.
I want there to be more. So we'll say yeah, so we'll see, all.

Yeah, listen, I've had I have so many suits in my closet that I literally never wear. I wear sweats and a sweat, some kind of Lulu sweats every single day. So any chance to get it, you know, I have to put a suit on, I feel a little bit out of place.
But no, uh, you know you're blending and great, but you know what, you stand out as well, so you're.

So it's a custom suit from my people in Buffalo, Tom Barnett. They showed me love on all my looks. Anytime you see me, whether it's here at or you know, the White House, wherever it maybe.
The White House, they.
Dressed me up, you know. So we came.
We came with a custom I just wanted to arnor my foundation, so we did a custom piece for my foundation. I keep the three on the side, and I wanted to do something with a boat man because you know, I really feel blessed.
You know, I really feel like God's gift.
I feel his hands wrapped around me every day, so you know, I just wanted to honor him in some way as well.
What a full circle moment for you And as intentional as you've always been making sure that every part of you represents your journey and now a finalist for a Comeback Player of the Year, as you think back on all that's happening, even over the last year, what's been going through your mind?
The biggest thing that's been going through my mind, and one thing that I had to do to ease all of the emotions and the anxiety and the fears I came with everything, was to be where my feet be.
Where my feet are? You know, are chaplain?
For our team we used to have We used to say this every day during the season, this is the day the Lord has made. Let us rejoice and be glad in it. He would say the first half, I would say the second half. And you know that was just our way of staying present and every day and every moment and then enjoying the moment as well. So throughout the entire journey, I stayed present. I appreciate it every moment, the highs and lows, the joy, you know, every one thousand emotions that came with it. And you know, I can say I was there and I was present, and I enjoy every step of the way.
We just enjoy that you came by and talked to us. You are such a bright light, just positivity. Your aura is so fantastic, So thank you so much. Thank you for sharing it with us, because we are taking some of that with us and using it.

I'm just I'm just all about you know, well, you know, just trying to shine some light in the dark situation.
