"I am annoyed with my boyfriend for showering his attention on my pet rabbit. It sounds ridiculous even as I type this. I've spoken to him about this before, and he's just brushed me off. One example is he just buy lunch for himself and my rabbit when he visits, and none for me. Okay, like this. And when I asked him why, he said he forgot to ask me if I wanted any. "I have been with my partner for a good number of years. We have built a home. We are blissfully in love, even after 15 years. And I love that we are in this relationship because we want to and not that we needed to. Recently, I received news on a diagnosis while we had bravely faced it together and had good conversations on it, a part of me worries and feels guilty that she would end up taking care of me for the rest of my life when I no longer am able. I fear that what I give her will no longer be love, but the dread of responsibility and accountability on her part. How do we truly embrace for better and for worse? How do I convince myself to believe that there is still love, even if one day she might not be able to see it from my eyes anymore?"
