The Elite Tune Series of Tellico Village is joining in on the fun bringing high level musical events to East Tennessee to benefit local non-profit charity organizations. Today, Lee Brockman called in with Darius Williams to talk about Elite Tunes Series and the amazing lineup they have coming up this summer.

The Avalon Center is an East TN shelter that serves as a safe haven for domestic violence and sexual assault victims and provides them with the tools and resources needed on their journey from victim to survivor. This weekend they will be partnering with Eclipse Paranormal for their annual fundraising event in Harriman, TN. The event will consist of different panel discussions, donations, and two paranormal investigations through the Brushy Mountain State Penitentiary and Old Historic Harriman Hospital. Being a place where children, adults, and families alike can come enjoy all kinds of artwork from a wide variety of artists. Coming up this Saturday, the Knoxville Museum of Art will be hosting its biannual Family Day, which is a free event that will feature hands-on art activities, food, live music, and more. With Valentine’s Day right around the corner, Interfaith Health Center will be kicking off their 15th annual Sweets to the Sweet Fundraiser. Meghann Common will be speaking with Beth Roskelly of Interfaith Health Center to learn more about the fundraiser and how you can get involved. First - Dogwood Arts will be hosting their House and Garden Show at the Knoxville Convention Center February 9 - 11. Darius Williams sat down with Shannon Herron to discuss the show and what patrons can expect from this year’s event.

Hand Up For Women is a non-profit ministry that offers life management and career-readiness resources for women suffering from addiction, abuse, poverty, and despair. Over its 20 years of existence, Hand Up For Women has graduated over 120 women from its program. This Thursday, February 29th, Hand Up For Women will be hosting their annual gala at the Grand Event Center to celebrate the women of the program along with “a story of miracles.” A story that we will learn more about from today’s guest, Eva from Hand Up For Women, who joined Darius Williams to talk more about Thursday’s special event. 

Prom season is slowly approaching which means teens all across Knoxville will be searching for the perfect dress or tuxedo for their big night. Kristina Killebrew from Second Chance Prom Ministry called in to talk with Ashlee Crawford about their 12th annual Free Formal attire and services event coming up February 24th and shed light on the services they provide and how you can get involved.  Also, as we move further into 2024, the city of Knoxville gets busier and busier and the Knoxville Habitat for Humanity is no exception. Tuesday, they will be hosting a watch party at Schulz Brau as UT Men’s Basketball takes on Missouri. Megan and Travis of Knoxville’s Habitat for Humanity open the show sitting down with Darius Williams to talk about the watch party and the many different ways you can get involved as a volunteer for upcoming events and programs with the organization.

Luckily, organizations such as Remote Area Medical are working to provide free, quality healthcare to those in need. Darius Williams sat down with Chris and Brad of Remote Area Medical to learn more about their upcoming free healthcare clinics and how you can get involved as a volunteer.
