InterFaith Health Center provides accessible, affordable, and quality health care to the working uninsured or underserved, primarily through the support of individuals, the religious, health care, and business communities. In November 2005, following a successful capital campaign, InterFaith Health Center moved its medical, dental, and mental health services into one location on Middlebrook Pike, allowing them to serve more patients. 

The Center places a strong emphasis on preventative care and is able to offer an array of services on site such as dermatology, minor surgery, injections, bracing, biopsies, wound care, breathing treatments, physical therapy, laboratory testing, x-rays, diagnosis and treatment for both acute and chronic conditions.

Onsite monthly volunteers are specialists in podiatry, rheumatology, dermatology, gynecology, immunology, family practice, orthopedics, physical therapy, cardiology, endocrinology, dietician, physician assistant, endodontics, and family dentistry.

The Museum of Appalachia, which was founded in 1969 by John Rice Irwin, portrays an authentic mountain farm and pioneer village, with three dozen historic log structures, several exhibit buildings filled with thousands of authentic Appalachian artifacts, multiple gardens, and free range farm animals.

The Museum’s annual Independence Day Anvil Shoot Celebration will be held on July 3 and 4, 2026, as an expanded two-day event made possible in part by support from Tennessee America 250.
