View descriptionShare

On today’s episode Jon Rennie shares how he took a passion for leadership and created an opportunity to elevate leaders. Listen in as Deborah and Jon discuss authority vs. respect, the importance of motivating your people, utilizing your team for answers, and how to drive toward an objective as an organization.

Jon is a business leader, bestselling author, speaker, and podcaster.

He is the Co-Founder, President & CEO of Peak Demand Inc., a manufacturer of critical components for electrical utilities. He is a former U.S. Navy Nuclear Submarine Officer who made seven deployments during the end of the Cold War.

Prior to starting Peak Demand, he led eight manufacturing businesses for three global companies. He is the author of three bestselling leadership books, I Have the Watch, All in the Same Boat, and You Have the Watch. He is the host of the Deep Leadership podcast.

Jon successfully brings his unique navy leadership experience to the business world. On a submarine crew, officers and sailors work together in cramped spaces and challenging conditions to accomplish complex missions with no room for failure.

Jon learned quickly that the basic underlying principles for success at sea also led to high-performing teams on land.
