Nathanael Blake, fellow at the Ethics and Public Policy Center and senior contributor to The Federalist, joins Driving Home to Faith to discuss his article addressing recent efforts in medical literature (such as the New England Journal of Medicine) to expand the definition of infertility.

Blake breaks down how reclassifying the term shifts it from a clinical, biological diagnosis to a social concept—with the primary goal of securing insurance coverage for third-party reproductive technologies, commercial surrogacy, and donor gametes. The conversation highlights the ethical implications of commodifying children, the financial dynamics behind egg procurement and international surrogacy, and the moral tension between bodily autonomy rhetoric and reproductive markets.
