Welcome to Drink Champs, the production of the Black Effect and I Heart Radio and his drinks as motherfucking podcast. He's a legendary queen's rapper, He's Segre is your boy in No R He's a Miami hip hop and lioneer up is d J e f N. Together they drinking up with some of the biggest players in the most professional unprofessional podcast and your number one sorts for drunk fast drinks. Mother is New Year's time for drink Champs. Drink up Mother? Would you could be hoping he would to see me this same boy? And what up is DJ e f and his drinks has? Motherfucker makes No I'm gonna be honest with you, guys. These are two brothers of two elite groups, not a regularly these elite group members. If you would have ever told me that they would have an album together, I would have never said. I would have never said yes, I would never agree to that. I would have never said, but I've been listening to the album all morning. What is it called records? Manners? What what's wrong with y'all? Ship? What is that name is a synonym for having Manner is a synonym for styles so you wanted to give you having a Styles but kind of the do way and it's fucking you up, but it's with stop. That's how you know they're smarter than us. I just want to introduce two brothers. I both consider friends, I both considered family. I both consider and and they one of the most lee MC's ever. Just because they're my friends doesn't take it away from that. So in case you I don't know who we're talking about, we're talking about Havoc and motherfuckering Styles Pete make some mother fum So we said off camera was O our second interview. We don't give you your props that you deserve. Our real second interview was Styles P and Chic second. It was the second second recorded. A third second one was Fat Joe, Fat Joe and Kenny and said was supposed together like my trip to New York to the trip to New York, And that was Jada. We went that first night was Jada and Jada and Star and we went to the studio and then we went to the studio because you're fucking now, man. He was looking at us crazy, like no, but we're all retrospect. No one knew what the podcast was at the time and people who were doing podcasts at the time. Was I'm gonna go on and say it was nerves. It looked it was seemed like some nerves. Nerves talking about Spade. Please come on. You know me and jay Z is great when the Spade out here, God damn it so style. So I want to keep it with you for a second. How did you did you did you know what we were doing when we were doing it or we just looked like bozos keeping Now? I really thought you was doing something smart because being as a businessman, I always like for people to do something that's kind of out of the box, and he was. It was something new, but it was at a lit time and it was live, and it seemed like like, you know what I mean, y'all were stepping into a field with different personality. So I kind of, I mean, I kind of thought it was dope and I thought it was smart and thank you. You know, I know it's gonna pay out this huge. I know it was gonna be and out this huge, but you know it was great energy. And I can't even stop calling him. I gotta call him ething. You know what, The only one I get I get the past. Um, I'm sorry to start when she was such a harsh question. But UM, a lot of people when they look at Prodigies death right, there's a lot of conspiracy theories that floats around that death. Um people actually say that it was an eggshell. Obviously. When I wanna interview anybody, I google everything and people are saying, and then this this video, and you tell me if this is real or not. I don't know a prodigy and they're like a luminati. A guy running up on a luminati said you better not put out this video. You know. Somebody was running run up, rand up on him and yeah, he had people had a mask on. Did you ever see this video? It was a real video. It was I don't know what a real video. They ran up on him and they was like like, you know, you better not put this video out, whatever video that it is. So I say that to say that a lot of conspiracy theoriest thing that you know, which is weird because I'm gonna tell you something I probably know you don't know. When he said a luminati want my mind told him about you know, I'm the person who gave Pridency to watch the propel Horse. Yes, I'm the one who gave Pete. I was coming home from jail. I was the guard. I wasn't going about it. I'm sorry I went too far, but I just I just want to Did you hear these rumors? Yeah? Yeah? You know, every now and then, you know what I'm saying, I get people asking me like, yo, that's fucked up. He ain't died from or for egg or whatever it is. You know what I'm saying, Like you know, they because you know people was very controversial. You know what I'm saying. He used to talk about like you said, behold of the pale white Holes, and and you know he was very keen on all of that ship. So you know, just to make a long story short, Um, you know, do I believe in that kind of ship? You know what I'm saying. I reserve to that ship. You know what I'm saying. I reserve to it. But um, those are that that subject right there is like I leave for private conversations, you know what I'm saying, because because that ship is just so real like that, you know what I'm saying in that vein, and I think it should be kind of taking a little bit seriously. So you know, what I mean, Like I get approached all the time about that question, and you know what I mean, Like I said, I reserved to to that. I don't know if you know I was there that night. You don't Vegas, Vegas. Let me tell you. Let me tell you why. I know this a God. I'm arguing with my production company to go. They want me to go to New Orleans. They're telling me New Orleans is a better food calling every spot then Vegas and doing the food show Food Show on the run, eating food Show. So I'm for some reason, God is telling me go to Vegas and this is crazy ship. So I go to Vegas. I'm going in there to see iced Tea um onyx on next say to me, if you wanted me to do your food show tomorrow, you gotta do my show today. So as y'all coming off stage, I'm going on stage. But I thought you was dead to perform. I was there for a food show. Yeah. So when I seen you, I remember this like it was yesterday. I've seen you, and I said, Happy, you getting bent with me today? And Happy said, yeah, I got, I got you gave me. And I said the same thing to Pete and p said what he said to me for the last nineteen years of my life. He said, I'm not feeling that good. I'll be back though, I'll see you later on. I heard that for nineteen years. I didn't feel alarmed. I didn't feel nothing. I was just like, alright, cool. Then the next day it was crazy because I don't know if you don't remember Trip I was out there golf father, you know, I know the nicknames, you know, so and Trips and I've just seen Trips face, like we was all I'm smoking back at the time and I've seen trip face. And when Trips Face he looked and I was like, something terrible happened. Did I think that was happening? So I'm sorry to be so like, but I'm a part of your legacy, you know what I'm saying, Like, like, if it wasn't for Mob Deep, I don't know if I ever told you this, there probably wouldn't be a component or yet, they probably wouldn't be drink chaps. They probably wouldn't be you know. Uh, you guys gave us our first record. Al a l A remember, yeah, man, you know what's the story? So I gotta also thank you all because I look at the Tupac records and I look at all this ship and hadn't we been two minutes small Famous Tupac would have been shipping on us. I was looking. I was specifically on compon Noriega. Oh yeah he did. But and I say that to say, this is very deep. This is very deep coose relationship with Big. Big didn't have our back, and I don't mean that in no disrespect. I didn't mean that, and like, uh, but what Big said to us was what they're accusing me of, Nori, I'm not guilty of that, So I'm not ever gonna go back at them. L A l A was a response to just if you really listened to l A l A. We never dissed them at all. It wasn't into the video. But it wasn't into the video that they did when they kicked down the buildings. That's when we didn't. But if you if you have it, he was there. He was I stretched all strong together. Did you think that this East Coast West coot she was gonna go this far? Um? You know, I kind of did. That's it was because you know what I'm saying. I started because you know, we're from the hood. So I'm thinking, like this might not end up well, Like you know what I'm saying, like we're going back and forth, we do it this record. We gotta go to l A, I'm saying. And we didn't have to go to at that time, like I'm staying on, but we had to go to l A. So you know, I was thinking like we was going under assume names in the hotel at that point, you know what I'm saying, because it was it was like that, you know what I mean. So I did think it was gonna kind of go far because you know, nigs ain't playing like you know, saying, you Inkie playing around on the rap backord, but you're not playing around because when you get around certain like it's not a game now styles you were outside looking in, but you definitely, yeah, you're definitely on our team. If it was the East Coast, definitely, what if it's the East Coast, we counted you in. So we counted you in it, and so I wasn't you guys, I'm y'all at that time, thinking like what does these queens doing? I mean, we we was two minutes, we was two minutes away to count like it had been nice to get tagg in. It wasn't even right, It wasn't on the radar, like you know what I mean. So I mean it was it was a rough time I think for for for for hip hop fan period, like not even just people in the music industry, just like that. That was kind of like a a shaky, a shaky time because you know, UM, as a New York person too, I think like um, like, I think that the end of the Way movement affected a lot of us, Like, you know, East Coast is real critical, like we on some East Coast only ship, but we love that ship. It was like that ship. Everybody in New York had a Raiders had Raiders Starter, you know, you know what I mean. When I first heard straight up Compton, I thought that was like the records Alan, I thought was a jail. I was like, I don't want to go to comment like I don't want to get rested out there. I had no idea. Yeah, all right, Listen is the first person in chocolate you want school. He's gonna make me do shrooms good three pieces, just three, my friend, let me take one at a time, take three. Little. I went to Amsterdam. We went to Amsterdam. We did that every ball with you, yes, and you drink with every ball. I'm gonna do at the we want. I want to stay married. I gotta go home to night. Hold hold on, I'm tripping now, so don't worry about it. I'm already tripping this. It's cool, you guys. So he's saying east coast, west coast, US down south. We've seen it as cruise fighting, not the coast. It hates us. That's why we have a show again. Could y'all see it automatically as coast beefing or cruise beefing. I looked at it as it was a crew beef that was gonna lead to a coach beef. It's like that ship is like the Yankees in Boston, you know, like the same ship. Man. Once, you got to pick a side, and you gotta roll with your side just where I'm from. You, of course, you're gonna roll with people where you're from. Um. I think all outside is looking at even myself is getting in the hip hop. I think people thinks mast sir already, sir. I think Floyd right now. I think all people think rappers like all hang with each other and there's some big fucking rap community where everybody lives like that ship like that, like you know what I mean, So you know when you get in, but you know that people are gonna take to where they're from. We saw that when when the hell can I be down convention was in Miami. We saw East Coast cast meaning New York for us down South. We East Coast hate out South. We don't hate y'all, we just we're not New York. We down South. And so we saw it on fold out here that she got crazy. It was in the streets in South Beach, see dog Pound and these cats and these cats, and it was wild. So we didn't see the division everybody across the board. I respect that glass the hates New Yorkers. I don't get out of here. Let me just say so, this is why I don't second. People don't believe. No, No, this is why I love you and I love tr I'm advocate from I'm from t I does not let it go. He'd be like, yeah, because y'all New York is the front on us. And I'm like, it's true twenty five years ago. But one thing that old people say, I gotta stand with Normy on this, Like you go to other places. You say, New York people front on people. New York is a not friendly place. We're very competitive. We're to play. Hold on, let me finish. We're competitive with each other. Right, But you never hear you never go to New York and hear them say fuck another place. So we don't even compare ourselves to no other states. It ain't we ain't no New York. They canna wake up on no day guy niggers. It's worried about the nigger down the block to be worried about. But he confused New York. Never say I'm from New York. Maybe you just like yeah. But the confusion is, I said the industry at that time, the hip hop industry was in New York. It was being biased everybody else. He like, it's the truth. You like, of course, you see, I'm not talking about I'm not talking about the artist. I'm not talking about the people. I'm talking about the industry of there was being biased. The other day, hang with you, we had I forget who we had on here. And he goes, because y'all thought that everybody is liberal York. It's from New York. And he know that's y'all problem. Man, what's happening? Yeah, I keep going. Don't forget anything anything in my life. Moving on controversial story styles. Do refrigerator? That puff chuff? How did it turn? He said he was kissed, said to throw a refrigerator. I threw a chair. It just sounds crazy, Yeah, I though it. I through a chair to sprain my ankle. Kind of throwing that cheer to that ship hurt like a hurt yourself, trying to hurt. Yeah. Yeah, I'm great with puff man, right with everybody. Now, I'm not violent guy. So herbs and oil shout out the Pharmacy for Life. I s fruits and veggies shout out to Juice for Life. And I'm cool. I'm cool. But that it happened, I can't happen where I'm at in life. It happened. I hated the shiny suits. I hated all that ship. And now I'm like, secretly, we're on a shiny suit right now. I love it. So now let's go back to you half. You come on, brother, You're not a stream to relax. Don't show off the goods. Now, what is it? Drop a gym on him, Drop a gym on drop a gym on him? All right, here's the crazy shing about drop a Gym on a Gym. First of all, I wanted to be on the record. It's one that's a great record. You guys never actually addressed to pop the record's that purposely because you know, like back in those days, it was all about the subs. You know what I'm saying, Like you know what I'm saying. That motherfucker's had told that. You know, motherfucker's had to figure it out, you know. So it was all about the sub So we we didn't directly say that, you know what I mean. But um, I don't know which record came first, was the drop of gym Jim on him or hit him up him first? It came first? Well, he was direct, you know what I was like, you don't know me, Like I'm sorry, I'm sorry, I'm sorry. Don't get in twisted like you know what I'm saying, Like you know what I'm saying. I was happy about this ship, you know what I'm say. When the nigga said my name, like I ain't you know what I'm saying, I ain't give a you know what I mean? It was crazy, WHI how do you even know that I ain't people fought a lot of New York bitches because someone that's what that was. That was someone girl who gave that up and somebody it wasn't like nobody knew what somebody close, Come on, regular industry, you would have to be like, you know, really kind of close. So somebody definitely, you know what I'm saying, He was in somebody you know, and they told But yeah, you know what I'm saying, so to you because technically when he says, but what do you do is got sickle cell? You know you don't have sickle cell? So are you looking at it like it's a mall deep beef or this is because it was a mall deep beef. As soon as he say something about Pete, I feel like he said something about me. I love that answer that should be. I love that. That is beautiful, bro. I miss proud of you. By the way, now I miss him too. I missing really do. I mean, you know he would be here like you know, pe laid that. You know what I'm saying, talking crack on the mean absolutely, you know what I'm saying. When I when I when I met him, he was fresh out of left brack, like you know, what I'm saying, like he's ready for anybody to say no, I say, I say, I'm saying when you both saw each other back on the block, just like you and you like people. Don't ang why she called him me, that's just answering. And oh she hung up. She set up, she struth up. Hold on, let's to see you want some aces spade? Right, yeah, yeah, because you know he's watching. He's someone. Yeah, Hey, what's going on? You hit me by mistake? Makes something? Yeah, you're not wanta drink chapter styles being happy? I'm sorry, Yes, y'all here, okay, all right, cool, So I'm gonna misinterview and they were gonna get you back, says all right now, albright, cool, your nick is doing promo. You're gonna see other people first. I didn't know what happened. I was going on. That's that's great. So getting to you, I'm in my mind. I'm wondering, like this kicking in. I'm not sicking. Okay, yeah, no, not yet. Okay. So Big the guy's got a relationship with Big. There's a rumor that Big actually got on the record with y'all and this y'all on the record. Is that true? I mean you'll see you can hear it for yourself. He said it on the show before it was Kiss who said that. So I want to hear from Stock, Yeah, I mean what record is this? That's you'll see what is what's the line? Almost the whole ship? You're talking it, but ain't limited re fresh off the block because there's an m C like anytime you're around another MC and it's it's the ship like nis talking it, but ain't living it because you aim like the whole ninety You gotta go back and listen to the whole golden Ever that's all dots and back and forth at each other. That's all like like like having what's saying that's that's cold? The nineties is like all cold. It sucks. It's because like you gotta go at everybody like when you you kind of like fuck everybody because it's like really just thought NAS had a record this is p Mega and Nature. I didn't see that record coming. I mean nobody did. Oh you didn't either, I would, I know, I don't know what was the record. I don't remember. I just remember I remember he moved to Massy. I didn't even know that. I didn't Nature up. But I didn't realize that makes sense. And I didn't realize Massy jay Z I was like old ship this nigga, This nigga is good. But it was a weird time for use was It really was weird. I mean, you know what I'm saying, Um like nig is eating their own like you know what I'm saying. It's like, why would you do that? Like but no one never this is avic. Why do you would like the you like the guy that gets away with everything? You never like in the drama. You're in the drama. But I'm in the background saying how do you survive this? Because you know what I'm saying, Like, you know, I'll just be chilling man in the background, just you know, just taking notes and ship. You know what I'm saying. I ain't with the fucking you know rod talking. You know what I'm saying, and you know, going back and forth with nigga's Like I just let niggas say what they say. You know what I'm saying that nobody don't say nothing about me because they know I ain't saying nothing about nobody. Don't drag me into it like I'm chilling or you want to spick up popper ship. That's it, that's it. Let's make happen. It's happen. We've been outside you. You're a lot of chicks and out. Let's just keep it read. Every time I come to the Chi every career, I'm proud to happen. Family. I'm all, never blew it up. You've always been a gentleman about it. You never said nothing no, so I don't expect you to say nothing now. I respect it. This is you know, in Spanish we say so to say, you know, let's get back to and I know we said this before and drink Champs, but this is the most genius ship. Every time I go back to the projects, every time I go back to the hood and I hear that goddamn stove. Oh and that was that was the first time you talked about on drink chance or was this I don't even remember. That was a big drink Champs moment. By the way, to this day, every time that's it clicks on, that's the gas. Yeah, I'm saying, what what would you smoking? To say? This is a beating? We're smoking that one to one and one to the black, black black bass. Why I ain't making millions over that though. All right, so you so what the is going on? You cooking fried chicken? You click the ship? What the fun made you say? You know? This is a beat. One time I wanted to eat some Rama noodles and just so you know, I just put the rama noodles or the stove at a getting high sis and I just left it ticket like that, And I just went back to the BBC and I got the recording and I recorded it, and then I put it back into the NPC sixty and then it just went the whole time. The gas is coming. That's why that ships it off. Word, that's a legendary. And this is very strong. You're telling me to take two more. Hold on, Jesus, I'm like, come on, come on, I'm gonna drink me happy, come on, hoppy drink. You gonna drink me? Come on, come on, you're gonna drink you drink drinking j Z where you're coming mind drinking drink. I'm gonna len hit the whiskey. Did Yeah? I like that? Here we sir, So that gotta be an awkward moment for you to have, right, It's because I believe you do a beats for big you you you're cool with Jay, but didn't this this discrepancy happens between Ja and Pete. Where are you like? And how how you responding? Y'all? Right? Well, at that point when when the beef was going down, you know, with the funny ship with you know, uh Ja putting the picture of X Y and Z and then they did the you know, the takeover and all of that ship. You know what I mean, It just it made me feel crazy because you know, I was fond of jay Z, like you know what that again, he didn't this you now you know, but you know, look, when you you're dis in prodigy, you know what I'm saying, he doesn't respond but on some real but but yeah, so but J goes at P. Where are you at? And are you're saying I'm going on at J? Immediately? It's no, I never really wanted to go at J. What I'm saying, I never really wanted to go to jail. I was like, you know, at that point, I just wanted that ship to like kind of fizzle out, you know what I mean, because I don't think it was It wasn't good for us, you know what I mean? Like, you know what I'm saying, Jay had to shoot on fire. You know what I'm saying. I'd rather have been an ally more than an enemy, you know what I mean. But can I actually can I keep it real with you? Had to say? What what was it Pe? Poking at them? Because he was poking at him. I felt like he was poking at you, smoking at him. But you know what I'm saying, that was Pe. You know what I'm saying that You know I had this bad you know what I'm saying, but just silently like you know what I'm saying, No, no, no, no, not out to be funny like just like you know, if somebody swing on him, I'm gonna protect him, like you know what I'm saying, whether he right or he's wrong. But you know, I'm just gonna chill that kid. You know what I'm saying, Waiting for to sit the fizzle down that you know what I'm saying, fizzle down. The crazy shit about it is that you know, even though the beat he mentioned, you know, Prodigy or whatever whatever, when we finally got around jay Z, I feel funny like I really had beefoo with him, you know what I'm saying. But I really didn't you know how this you were You're guilty association, right, you know what I'm saying, the stabs that he was taking and Nas right, and if you if you google Nas, your name pops up. You know what I'm saying. So I definitely felt guilty by association I fell with. Like if I'm around jay Z, I feel like I got beat with him, like for no reason, like you know where you're around him at that time. You know I got around him like once or twice because he was a producer. So for doing said, we don't have that. We don't follow the same as artists. Artists. Producer can work with everyone as artists. We know, and you're both you like you said on the albums like I was listening to you say that on AUM exactly and that you know, if if I wanted to produce the track for j at that time, that ship was squandered, you know what I mean? That wasn't that word was what happened. It was the art design that was the opportunity. But I'm sorry, I don't star with my friend this nicker told me to take three. I'm on one loose in more. I'm telling you I took shrooms with Scott Starts one day, but it was he goes in there. It was shroom t Yeah, I loved it. But I was moving like this that the biotic man, you know, the Biannimes like I literally every time I was moving was like like the sound with it. I'm sorry this movie. Yeah, this is a little y'all in there. This is this what you know? Hey? Man? So that's that? Show him that? So boys show them that, so they think me smoking crap? Listen, I posted is that Bricker boys. Bricker boys got that? The bricker boys outside, man, they outside. I can't. I'm sorry. I used to know happen. You don't smoke no more? Yeah yea. I used to smoke like crazy, trying to get half the smoke. Yeah yeah yeah, neumerous occasions. So how how does this happen? Howards to legendary group? Members of other groups come together and form a legendary group? Because is it a group or it's just this man a baby ho? I didn't know that? So how does this happen? What was y'all? What was y'all doing? Well? You know, one day I was in the crib. I was like, you know, I know you'd be riding a bike. I do. I do. Sometimes I fell off a little bit, but I gotta get that going. Um. You know, one day I just woke up and I was like, yeah, I want to do a project. You know what I'm saying with one of my favorite mcs. You know what I'm saying. I went down the list, and you know styles pas at the top of that list. You know what I'm saying. You know, did you produce these beats? Every last one that's fire? I didn't. That's that. I gotta take my hip hop card. Someone gotta take my hip hop card for one day, because I didn't notice that when I listened to the album today. I've seen the samples, I heard the samples, but I didn't realize every beat is produced by the A BOC. Do you know you like one of the top producers there is. That's what I'm saying. Do you know what, he's the humblest guy. He's a humblest fucking guy. What'd you do like seven tracks on component Ica first album, No No, No No No. I did a few, I did, I did a few Legal Life Latest okay yeah yeah yeah, Parolatest like I work on you know, stick you Okay, no, no, you didn't do stick you. He's lp just stick you. But I like Parovi last that was crazy. That seems crazy. I was crazy have super legidary, so it half caused me and I can't believe it, like one thing is being have we checking on each other or things like, um, what's crazy? Is? Right before Pete Pass, I was can't have like I need I need a couple of joints from you and the rock. Then Pete pass, so I wasn't you know? It was no God bless, there was no time to everybody had everybody moment of size for prodesty. Twelve seconds that's in peace product look ahead. Wait, how do you know? Twelve seconds was the perfect time? And Sea that was dope? It feels I thought this sounds amazing. South that was that was dope. I'm gonna be but it felt like the perfect time. And like that's like the perfect because that's the perfect amount of seconds. I think that should be labeled from down one should be although product he is from left pract his heart was in Queen's Bridge. And I don't know if you have a hung out in Queen's Bridge, but I'm gonna just tell you something I've been through. If you want to do some funked up ship, queens Bridge is the best place in America. I promise you. That is the funniest place in America if you own some bullshit, I promise you, bro. I have hung on three nights straight, no shower, just outside or some and they came to to you. It's not like. It's not like they called you down, like don't chill out. No, there's no one's gonna say chills. Gonna have to go, Maggie, keep going to check on the Pall Street, go to fucking Longs and it's amazing. I recommend it one day out of the year. Just lose your mind. Lose your mind to hang on the hill. I'm telling you there's a little nigga right now. It's gonna it's gonna show you something you like. Shure, how you let my boy? I'm again, I don't even know my question right now. She's great a thousands talking about, like, you know, doing an album. And yes, he was about the damn great project. You know, he was not a project. I was doing a project. I needed beats from you. And then he passed and then I was chilling. But um, you know. We we hit each other and checked and he hit me like, Yo, you want to you want to do a do a couple of doints. I was like, hell yeah, and he sent the beat the beat scent on the joint. I think it's it's having in the ghost the best. I went right to the I went right to the studio. I mean I left. I left there on the album QB the Wi Yo Yo the QB. What the fuck? What's the name of that joint? That was it? I'm telling you to yo, I ain't gonna lie to you. When I hit that joint, I could not stop. I just had to keep wid you know. Um, like you said, have is one of the ellest producers in the world, so too. You know. He sent me the first joint and I went to I really went to the studio, like right then and there. You don't play around, Yeah, I don't go play with that. But I sent it right back and then we was off to the race. He sent another ship. I was like, oh my god, this is crazy. And then I realized, just haven't working a minute, and this is I haven't happened, and then that like you know what I mean? Then he said something he sent the ship back with the verse. I'm waiting, like, wait a minute, when the verse you didn't ask for the person versus what I'm hearing this verset time, I'm like, oh, I have on the ship. Wait a minute, like so you know, I just felt honored, Like you know what I'm saying, that's that's that's that's the bro and um hit hop is a different ship. Like you said, we're brothers, were friends and it like that, but that's the fraternity is in league. So when it comes to doing this ship and like, you know who I can tell niggas I want to. I gotta one on the books with half nigga, any elite MC look me in my eye. I got one on the books with half only try did you can can say that? And I don't know if I mean somebody else could say that, but I don't talking about out that, out that, out that groupory what I mean at this league like fux it up man Half called me. That means I'm me nigga, I have it. You got two of the best memories of my life. And I know you don't know this. Okay, second day I'm home from jail. What the fun they now? I don't care what he wanted that look at hook hold on, hold on, hold on, mommy. The second day I'm home from jail. But let's let's our shows about giving people flowers. We would like to get both of your brothers, y'all, flowers to your face. You know what I'm saying. Drink chap style, real flowers. They lasted year. You know what I'm saying, real flowers. We have. Make sure y'all gotta we made sure y'all got those flats they last from talk to us. Yeah, that's like ten years right there. Okay, okay, money making good so so. But I'm gonna tell you one of my best memories of my life. Thank y'all. I'm home from jail. Two days from jail. Cee Lo from the Dime Carlos that uh big big loads, big lows, big loses half from left reck, half from from com QB, the same Miss Rahm, half from left half QB. Cousin, Ye, it's just cousin goddamn having your point. So it's my second day home from jail. I don't know what I'm doing. Cee Lo says, let's go to this mob deep show. I think I was at the Palladium, get the funk out. I went to the Palladium. There was a thousand Queens niggas outside. I'm looking like this the second day home, my second day home, I'm looking like I want this. Whatever this was, I wanted it. And Na strove through, and I remember who Nas drove. Nas had a gold g s Lexus M and it was b J that was driving his car. And as Nas drove through, the whole bridge just opened up and just let him drive through. And then Nas did the famous quote Nigga said around whatever that was that just happened, And it was at a fucking mob deep show makes a noise to that, Bro makes a noise to that. I'll tell you not. It's my best members ninety seven. It had to be the the Yeah, I came home and it was when Shook Ones was. I can't tell you what shook Ones was. Man, that ship was just like a phenomenal record. And when it's crazy, when you know, you know, when I first Shaw Shook Ones, I was in jail. I looked and I just stood up, and everyone else from from the jail was not from Queens, and they knew at this very moment you stabbing nis and changing this channel. I'm stabbing the mother too. If your mom just walking through, she's getting into I'm so serious and I'm looking and I'm like, this is my hood. I don't know my from Queen's Bridge. I'm from left Frack. I make that clear. But this is our brotherhood, this is all. This is our big homie hood. Let's just be clear. I'll say it, I'll laugh, all right. And when I saw that Shook Wants changed the world definitely. Do you know that? I mean? It definitely changed my world. You take a sip, Yeah, take some take some good this special in a second. I got you so Shook Ones dropped Steve Ricker, who was what yesterday? Yes, Steve yesterday? Do you drop this record? You know what this is? And after already having an album out juven O hell right juven head, Yeah yeah we did juven out hell. That's like no, no, no. He produced like one song and then a large professive remixing or a vice versa, whichever way it went. Uh, the album was sucking, dude, you know what I mean. But you know what I'm saying. You you come in the game and you learned, and you learned through experience, right, you know what I'm saying. So the album was sucking whacked. I mean, it wasn't whacked, but I'm saying it didn't get it. It didn't get it. Guy, I'm not gonna say it was whacked, but it didn't get the attention to deserve. The label didn't know what he was doing. Luckily, re mixed, met Steve Rifkin and he signed us Ye Mattic Drop and that. Like you know, as as an artist, as as as an artist, when you come with album that don't do good and did somebody from your hood that's come out and do good. Of course you're cheering the morning, but now it's like everybody kind of looking at you, laughing a little bit like you know what I'm saying, Like, I mean, you know what I'm saying. Your SI didn't make no noise, you know what I'm saying, But you still rooting full you know the guy from your projects and that's not But then he just gave us a template, you know what I'm saying, or you know, saying, well, how we need to move forward a little bit nothing, you know, but that first I was completely live that because it felt like you had a little bit of a buzz where he felt like it felt like it was a kind of a classic to it was. It was like a like a queen's buzz, Like it down here man from the back. Yeah. I was trying to hit it from the back back yeah yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. But but I came back with the infamous yeah. You know, and when we did, when we did Shook Ones, there was a part one to it at first, you know what I mean? It was the off Yeah, but one was dope because I think a big pun sampled something from the part one uh one, uh some ship, I forget what it is. But anyway, when we did Shook Ones, I didn't know, you know what I'm saying that it was gonna be big. But I know that I loved the record, you know what I'm saying that I didn't like it. I was like, damn, this just sounds I you know what I mean. And Steve Rifkin put his he put it on. How y'all go different into those records from the reviews album? How did what did you learn from that experience? Um? What we learned was that we really have to speak more to our experience and not just from you know, a standpoint of what we think we want people to hear, but we have to come from the heart, from my experience, what we're experiencing on twelve Street. No, no, I mean you know that's an album in itself. Just one day, I told you you got two of my best memories. The other memory was I came to twelfth Street. Yeah, niggas was drinking. I n J that that is a bad drinking from the morning after. I'm from Black fact, I don't know what's going on. I'm finally becoming a rapper and these these are the latest niggas in America. This nig is on his block twelve o'clock in the afternoon drinking J number one record in America. I'm sitting back like, damn, this is what I gotta do. And I just didn't having just he drank the old just foul. When he felt I was like and everyone was used to it. It was like, this is what I have. It gonna be up in two minutes. It was up in two minutes, and I was like, holy about best memory of my life because I'm like, yo, and this is the time where you said, no matter how much lout I get, I'm staying in the projects, and I was like, this man is living out his living. But I was the quietest dude at this time because I really needed to soak up game and I really needed to understand how do I fit in? And this is the number one group in America and that man is outside every day. That's why I try to tell you. I'm saying this and I'm reiterating this all the drama. Habit never got into drama like fabric alone. I don't know why you're a great guy. I see you appointing the This is jay Z because I'll go back to ship on the road healthy. He don't drink. You have the Hennessey shirts. You have to Hennessy shirt on to Yeah, y'all was Hennessey demons at one point Hennessey demons. I was to eat eat double. Uh. You know what I'm saying, because I really definitely really used to like Hennessey like that the way it tastes, you know what I'm saying. I always liked it that Jay. So I used to be drinking that ship like fucking from the morning to the afternoon and to the night. And I used to just drink that ship just every day. Like that at least for like maybe five years straight. First met Style, he asked me for a piece of weed. He rolled it up. He didn't even passed up to me. Piece of guy. This guy's not a good guy at all. Even from that, I came the keys to my house right now. I was like, but we was doing bad from TV. The nigga just eat. He didn't even look at me. He smoking my pleaed I'm looking like, I mean, I contact me so smoke. No, I ain't gonna lie smoked joints to the head now playing on you the whole time. I'm just like, yo, you almost passed, Like no, I'm on my Style ship, like give weed out? Which what does that represent? What does that say on your hat? It's just human shout out to Yeah, it's as human. What does the back say, children is prevail shout out to cultur individuality and everything. You said. It's smarter than I got. This little belief they're oh, g I got don't oh hip hop ship man, that's all. That's all. The ship is a hip hop. I want my whole crib to be right. Bob Marley, like Biggie Small only needs seven percent in my career to be a pop you win it. Fuck it? You know, when I get home, it's fun hip pop ye, Like you know what I'm saying. What you mean if you never get the fucking turn off dog like that? Like when I get home, I turned I don't. I don't watch videos. I don't. I don't be doing that. I don't even know hardly anything music wise when I get home, except try when I play a beat and making a rhynd. But all that looking shut up and and what fun that ship? I watch your animals playing it that geo straight up? You know I'm saying, I'm Netflix. I'm Netflix, you know what I mean? Yeah, that Prime, I'm binge watching, I'm trailer trailer. I'm really on that. I really don't. I watched I'm a documentary guy. Yeah, did you see the Hip Hop fifty, the Ralph McDaniel ship, the Video Music Box. Yeah, that's it was crazy that it was hard. He used me in it though again right there, that was dope. Yeah, little bick up to Nazi Nas too, Man Pete Sasha too, the Sausage James Peter, Peter Peter and the whole staff man Master phill If I would say the best hip hop documentaries right now. Masson Phill has it. They got it. They got they got the photographer ship. You're seeing the photographer one they got. I went to the what do you call me? Pop up shop? Yea, So they got the photograph and then they got the Raphick Daniel and they did Rick James ship. I didn't see the Rick games. It came out already. Yeah, see the Rick James ship. So when Deep gonna have a documentary, I mean, yo, you know, um bad people want to you know, funk with us with the documentary. You know what I'm saying, Massive Hill being one of them. It was Sausag Jenkins and everybody. They do a great listen hopefully he wasn't even here. He wasn't even here. No, no, no, because I don't want to sound like we reiterated. That's what and I want to be I want to I want to say something Shasha is us like saw our first interviews with Yeah, first interview was in Queen's Bridge on your block and Shaws came to the interview and trag have fake cocaine. Yeah, we was trying to try to sell the image. I was bound with it. I don't want to I don't want to see of his tragic idea. I wasn't. I was here. I was like, yea, yeah, yeah, we had a shotgun. We this is normal and sauces of sitting there. He's trying nothing sweat, but I can see coming down. And I say that to say, is a real dude. He's part of us, and he appreciates and he uh treats the culture the right way. So I really work speak like really proud of really problem. But what we were talking about, I was into this, uh being no, I was about doing it with Massive Hill. Yeah we need the more. But you know, several people, you know what I'm saying, the prostess uh you know, Massive Pill being one of them. And you know what I'm saying, I'm a big fan of Sassage Jenkins, you know what I mean. Um, you know, I knew him since I was like, you know, maybe twelve, you know what I mean, eleven and twelve. You know, I used to he used to write AFFEEDI I used to write Affiti. He was a little bit older than me. N al Now yea, there we go, now yea. And you know, I remember one time we was we wanted to do a graffiti on the train, but they was parked in between the states or whatever, and I climbed up, you know, the seven line. No, this is the end and the end of the outside the King State. Seems like I climbed up the thing and got on the fucking tracks instead of just hopping to train the easy way, I climbed up the thing. And you can ask. Onside said that it was fucking crazy. He was dead. He was then, and that's how it made him go back. Like I was like, well about this morning, but yeah, men, it has to go back. And he's talented. Um, you know what I'm saying, documentary dude, But hopefully we can put out on them all deep talking rounding me hopefully. Just who's gonna do with I'm gonna be honest, I didn't. I didn't realize how much you strategically, strategic, tragically tragically tragically cold work though like that like that tragically that's one. I'm gonna tell you something that's like at a tragic strategy to dip set locks battle to the fullest. And I'm gonna tell you the moment we'd all changed, you know, the moment grab camle. Yeah, it was strategically. Tragically. It was tragically. It was strategy do Morphus game. Did you know that because you could tell y'all homies what happened there. But when you did that, what you did was you're doing Morphus game. You made me emotional when that's the exact thing you shouldn't be in this battle? Do you think that I'm accurate? I don't know. How do you humble? So I'm um, I felt like this before we got there. Anyway, we we've seen him earlier doing a thing, and you know, you know how, you know how the city go, yo, love. We we already found we got respect for each other longest as long as you know you frank stand Yeah, disrespected to a grill or like you know what I'm saying, dude, you're a little chippy. So that that was expected. It was more like, um, I probably got lost in a minute for a second. She could kiss. They're gonna say this and say I lost it and I blacked out. I didn't. I was I was computing. I was computing because nobody said I need to just grab his leg cam kick me first, Like you know what I'm saying, everybody, somebody, I don't you see that a lot of people don't sell me. People don't see nothing, see what I do like that, that kind of history people, I'm gonna keep the other don't believe stuff. It wasn't there. I wasn't there styles. I didn't like grabbing. I sat on the ship. The chap broke exactly when I sat on the ship. Everybody's not gonna sitting on the chairman was the first thing before on the chair, on the chair, but the chick the chip crumbled, and I just shut up. It can't be battip like the foot nudge. Well, I love cam but in my mind, in my mind also went on TV like I'm gonna be honest with you. The biggest thing in my mind was when we got in there, all the white people were scared, Like I was watching it from Man. I talked about Man before says, a chippy place with you if you respect the person and you know what it is, and it is what it is. But New York, that's how we are by nature. I think that's the rest of the world. It's another way. And now it looks like we're fucking crazy. But no, that's just pretty much New York. But as a business person, like, you know, hip hop is one thing, and we gotta do what we gotta do because it's hip hop. But you know, pharmacy for life guards uses for life guard styles. I'm like, we're gonna fuck this bag up. We're gonna show these people that we could, we could, we could, we could take it to the limit. We're gonna cross that line and we could be a certain way with each other. But at the end of the day, we're gonna have unity. We know what we came here for. The biggest part of the battle is that we all left in Unison with our hands up doing something for the city. That's the biggest part of the battle, Like you know what I mean. And that was for me, Like that's the important partably we you know, know that we're businessmen, know that we could, we could. You know, we can handle ship, get a soul, get it done, get the job done, and no matter what the results is, we're gonna leave in Unison. Really love being from New York all watching it miniway. And then I just went and changed for no reason, mocking my ship backwards. I'm like, my kids are looking at me like, pop, what's the fun is your problem? And that's how you know when you when you're like, oh, when they call you pop, that is a cooler pop. You lost it. I want to be so you know what the million dollar question is? Who is mar deep or happy? I'm gonna go versus again? Has it been discussed? I mean, you know, people keep on asking me just I don't know. You know what I'm saying. It would have been us guys in corrupt, corrupt outcasts say against group in the world. It's true you say my deept go against any group in world. You know, OK, I wasn't thinking about that bird one b there you go that. I think that one. You're not coming next sense because you know exact same as you know what I'm saying. The conversation needs to be had. We need hologram people. Yeah, um yeah, where were we losing him? Hop we start? Did fucking have PIMPSI and p hologram the fun You're in the meadow dot wallet? He got a meta We're about to do drink chap metaverse around. We got to do that. He got a wallet. Holy ship. Now one on one I heard Jim Jones said he want to rematch. I'm good, didn't say him against Jaya. I told you when I get home no hip hop, I don't pay attention. I look at the Graham. You know I'm just saying the ground. But I keep scrolling like you know what I mean. I'm not really like you know what I mean? You know you know my I mean, you know my thing in hip hop where everything all day like people ask me these questions are I just want to stay clearly why I don't want to drink chimps. I think I'm better than everybody but Big. There's nobody like in my mind, I'm better than everybody but Big. So you don't got to ask me. If you listen to my lyrics. For over twenty years, I've been telling you fuck everybody. For over my whole catalog says, suck everybody. You don't want to where I can't see all the time. My whole term everybody who want what when about it? Don't ask that's my stinning what everybody trying. I avented saying fuck you. I'm like creative. Never asked me. I'm competitive this shirt. We can be friendly after anything about anybody. When we get on the track together in the studio, I'm coming for you straight up to normy. Let's get any boy myself. Hold on, let me let me it's the crazy ship MEA's fifty is talking the other day. That's fifty. He tells me. Do you know how styles got all big meat Larry Huba that they sent you to beat by my stay, Oh ship, I have no they sent me to be empty. I can tell you that exactly. Who told me? He said they sent you to beat. They mentioned to you a totally different and beat and I did. But yeah, yeah, gidn't cut my first short. I am twenty four. I WoT tell yourself about that. Here's with business kicks. Look okay, look it was full mix tape with rosashed my dogs hit me off for the big stage base. He sent the beat, I sent the twenty four. I know it. I know this is a couple of weeks later, my phone is going crazy and somebody said, that's just the biggest racket in the world. It was one of my mix tape about about like what and then it ended up being that I was like, okay, like and then it just kept taking off and taking off. Wow. I was like, okay, okay, okay. So the story behind that he sent you to beat by by the way, a lot of peop will and I'm claiming this. A lot of people don't know. People think that Ross put on spif TV. Spif TV. It came through me his first video. You know I brought him to you. You don't even know that part. It's always least to that. I but nobs rooms hit me. Yes, quicktim of spiff right now, So big up spif TV man, I love I love that brother bro. All right, So this is quick time of slide. This gets everyone in trouble. Please can you give them shot glasses? Haven't you can't avoid this one? He can if he wants to know you taking I'm taking a shot to know you take the one squind before igree to play this game. And so I got drinking one. Damn who's drinking? Let's got that's cold? Shut out the slap once. By the way, I thought whole time sounds being my family. He's trying to kill me right now? You ain't all right? You got more of that, by the way, Columbian White, Okay, all right, that's how serious I'm gonna I'm gonna keep it a hunting, y'all. Merry little happy, listen, Listen, I'm gonna keep it a hunting. This question has got me more in trouble than the whole drink Champs period. I'm not answering a question by itself, a question by itself, So I'm gonna say it. But I'm also gonna tell my producers Mr. Lee and has it sound? Has it sounds? I want to exit this question for life, because they have both called me. We're banning the question. I want to ban the question, and I respect both of them, and I love boxing and is that one? That's how how I know it to you? So I'm gonna ask you, this is the game we play. Pick either or if you pick both, I'll take a shot. We take a shot together. Yeah, I think that's pretty much it. Or either or neither. You want to quit this game. I'm not quitting today. No, not the game, the question, the question. Quit the question today with us? No, no, no, no, just as a good group. He said, you're gonna see all right, So I'm gonna start with have it. It's easy for me Foxy or Kim. Um. I wouldn't say Kim just dont just like that, but I work with Oxy before you know what I'm saying that you know you know you got big kid talking about it. Yeah, you see, what's a good question is I'm being in trouble. I'm going to you'll be wrapping washed anything. Criteria is whatever, your criteria is. Just gonna say, kim Oh you're saying kids. No, I'm gonna say. I'm gonna say both. Oh. So that's the thing you got. Good job. You don't got to take it out of that water though. All right? Cool? Cool, cool? Where's my ship? All right? Cool? Google the Japanese whiskey. Wait what, I'm taking a shot? You have to take a shot that ball. We all, Yeah, you just got me. We all guilty. Fucking question. Forarrell changed my life? So he did your first Orde? Right? Yeah? Yes he did? He did. He did super Dog. I love Farrell, Yeah, and I love even though he's not. They're both of them, even though it's it's crazy. What's your answer? That's ok Yeah, that's what I wanted. I don't take your last I don't never want do another album again every time you stop rapping. Yeah, but I'm gonna do Drink Chats album. I didn't even tell you that. That's just because if I wants this ship, it's a joke all right, Primo or Large Park taking a shot preemale Lars Fro quick take out. All right, that's like wanted to me, don't have I ain't gonna you know, it's Hardwater's hardwater. You can't. Okay. I think the average hip hop person expects you to just say Primo, Primo, Primo does, um, let's give it to him. Primo has a wind sheet, maybe with more extensive artists, but large pro is like a core foundation of of hip hop like they probably I would I would assume they bounced energy off from each others back then from then, So those like I hate this fucking game, I ain't a lie. That was the you were saying what he said. It was worthing like I wanted, because you can't, like I think we get we're getting such so much of the comparison ship in hip hop, which is, you know, we're competitive, we're supposed to, but then you if you you kind of don't get the other person. They flowers that they fucking do a large fold deserves motherfucker flowers when it comes to this thing. And not only that, it's like, you know, as art as we know, you know what I'm saying. You know, we were called the styles Me and having Right now Drink Chance. The Lord's Mausino one of my favorite albums out right now. That is crazy. Thank you. Perfect timing, sir, perfect time. You know, such a hip hop We're gonna hate you back you you're coming out yet? Yeah, yea yeah on that all right, Dundel, we pull up on us, all right? Peace peace. I'm sorry, but your album it's really good. It really is. I'm like, damn, because I thought y'all think it's just getting a check, just putting like you know, sig. Now you can see that they didn't do it just for your check. Wait a minute, true doing that you gave true you get what you can't the leadership, I'm just stop doing listening to the album and I'm like like, I'm like, wow, it's really really good. This happening me. I'm not digging. I'm sorry. I'm sorry. He's right, I'm not. I'm not. I'm not. I'm not. I ain't a lot. All the years that you both got you could have slapped, you could have just just did something like just just just throw out to the community. And this is not that this album is really really good. Why? But why like you know, like I know it's like an oxously marmo me saying that. But what I'm saying is the only person I probably would do an album with right now me it's Camp. The only reason why I we would do an album with Cams because me and Cam competed our whole life. I feel like we were like Jay and as of our error of our time. What made y'all wanted to do an album together? Well, I'm the MC man. I love my craft. I love rhyming like this, you know the other ship that comes with it, you know whatever, But you don't have habit called you. I mean, like we're saying, really is just top tip to do sing this thing about it? Like if you if you take this ship, you know, for when the canvas is off in the the lights and all of that ship. But if you just like into hip hop and know what it is like this ain't and you take lightly when fucking a Golden one calls you, you take that ship serious, you wake up and you do your job. Like for me especially, I know you know, I'm a MYB deep fan, like my deepest on the way before a couple of years. But you know when her and her terms a couple of weeks is where you're on before you was on. So I watched them, yeah, like you know what I mean. And then not only that, like to work for him to call me, and you know, I acknowledge how God bless the dead Pete, Like the that's gonna lee m C. So I was gonna come to work slacking, like you know what I'm saying, Come to do your job. How about you guys for me? You know what I'm saying. Like I said, you know the Locks, It's still one of my favorite groups of all time. And I'm not even just saying son head, but you know what I'm saying. We all know, Like you know what I'm saying. The thing has come with it. You understand what I'm saying. And you know, like I said, you know I funk with Pete. You know what I'm saying. So when I was like, I haven't done a project in a in a while, you know what I mean. After the project he passed, and you know what I mean, I wanted to do something meaningful. You know what I mean, because every time, you know, when you when you come, when you come with a project, you need to make it meaningful, you know, what I'm saying to mak it mean son. So when I tap P he came through, he said that I do it. And when we was doing the record, you can just actually, no, no, we knew, we know, we know, we knew it was gonna be a project, you know what I'm saying, whether it was gonna be an E, P or LP. It was supposed to be EP something like that, and just kind of went too easy, like you know what I mean. And then it just kept going. You know. I was sending them the records and he was sending them just back with the with the with the chorus in the in the verse. You know what I'm saying. That ship was just blown me away. Like I was like, damn, yeah, you know what I'm saying, because I'm still working with somebody that I'm used to work with, somebody that I do that, like, you know what I'm saying, Because it was the vibe just was there. I was like, you know, I feel like I was working with Pete. You know what I'm saying, Like I was working with Pete. You know what I'm saying the other pe. You know what I'm saying. I can see how you're describing it. And I know you word, you know, that's the element that I that i'd be missing, you know what I mean? Yeah, you know what. You know, my man, he ain't never gonna be here again, you know what I'm saying, So I gotta do something this monumental. Nobody would never be able to take place of problem. And that's not's not what that's that's not before. But like I said, I wanted to put out some energy. Yeah, I wanted to put out something very meaningful. And this guy right here is one of those dudes. He don't funk around, you know what I'm saying. He don't playing around. He want around seriously. If he's woking with you, he foke with you. You know, he could have easily said no, I understand what I'm saying. Like now, you know what I'm saying, I'm kind of busy whatever whatever. That's how you know, we funked with each other, you know what I'm saying, Like the perspectives did. So I sent the records and we did the record and it turned into something uh meaningful and dope and and regardless if it go gold or fucking platinum, when people look back on this ship and they listen to it is the quality is you understand what I'm saying. It's like, oh shit, like you know what I'm saying. I apologized for not saying I'm doubted, because I didn't doubt. But what I'm saying is like for two classic group members to come together and make a classic album, it's unheard of. So what I'm trying to say, I'm sorry. But this morning I listened to the album two Watch for the Floors. My one did the mistakes, and when I couldn't find when I said, these niggas is crazy real start. I wanted to be here and be like, yo, look trap six yoya mix this right, Yeah, I didn't do this, so I'm looking forward, and when I can't find it, I'm like damn. And I say that to say all these years that we put in, you know, sometimes we don't go to practice. Sometimes we don't we don't go to the layup line. So they heir, y'all sound so fresh and sound so fresh together. That ship is a big up. So I just want to big y'all up like that because both of you are my brothers individually by yourself like styles, you're my brother, but so have it have it. Damn that put me on on the load, like you know what I'm saying. He don't know that, but he should know that he should be bragging about me. Um, he should. I would. I would more of these projects to come. Absolutely, Yeah, for sure. Let's for this quick time of slid. We have not finished time? Mean, are you ready now this? I want to go to you we getting drunk? This is go. Are you ready illmatic? Are ready to die? Take your shot? Definitely takes definitely take a shot. You know why. That's a that's a difficult answer for me. I would like to didn't break down like I said, ill matic. I think illmatic is that's like a hip hop part of the Bible. Seriously finishing, I'll give you my opinion. But ready to die, um everything. I think NA just opened the door for all of us. But I think ready to die like every day struggle and um, certain parts are ready to die. Just happy. I was in hell at the time, so it got me through jail. I'll take you want to ask the first? I mean, you know, because I feel like I'll go illmatic too, but not because I don't love ready to that and I don't love big. But I was in jail when Ill Maddic came out and Magic the ready to Amatic when Atmatic came out, I had just LJ was my friend, l j R. LJ is my friend, and I used to go to see a lot of people think that Compon was my first Queen's Bridge friend. That's that's not the case. My first Queen's Bridge friend was LJ and was Jay Rock. I used to play ball with Jay Rock j Infinite, you know. Uh so I used to go out there to see them. And when I heard Illmatic in myself, I can't lie to you. It was like beating Donald Going's book. You know how Donald Going the world Donald Goings, wherever Donald Going was at and whatever he wrote about. I was there. Atlematic did that same thing to me. I can't a lie to you. I came outside after hearing Allmatic. I came out on that yard. I was that man. I came out like, did you hear the album? Word? Like we got one shot shorty big Big black and black Moon. But I did Atmatic, I knew it. I said, did you hear how the home me described that? SHI opened the door form like I said, I hold how I used to I still can't imagine that last feeling. You know, you have nothing to prove it. How do you started around like that? And then I heard all Matic and I was like that she was a breath of friend I had. The ship was the last ruth yeah with with you know those hats, those hats back in the day. Yeah, I don't know, man, I don't know. I was called like like a sleeping everybody was wearing it back then, and I felt like, you know, I felt like I was in Tims Street. I felt like I was in Vernon. I felt like I was in uh yeah Street. I felt like like the way he was describing it, the way he broke it down, and it was just like it was the same thing equivalent to me as reading the Donald God's book. I know what I said that earlier. I don't want to sound like I'm reiterated myself, but it was the first time hip hop changed my life. Like I could literally close my eyes and I was in Queensbridge listening to the Almatic. That's y'are laughing at me or y'all like, I don't know, I don't know if it like you're smiling a little bit. That didn't change your album. Yeah, yeah, that should change even hit a hoop the world. That's the world changing album that brought a whole you know, I took a while for the world to change. Hip hop change immediately after that album. Yeah, he was sixteen when he wrote that ship. It was like he was the he was the the it was like, and you know him. It's like um Rap is kind of like Kung Fool if you you know, for for certain artists or ball players. Like it's like he was the perfect student of King Koji Rock him and Careress. But we'll understanding what our age was going through because there was a time I thought, no, rap couldn't even get iller than that. Like I remember just hearing them and being like, you know, because it was one thing. I think that's even even tough to say, Like I loved I loved um you know, running, um in In l l L and all of them, but MC. When you say running but Cougi can Haming all that, that was a different coul didn't come on the shoulder of the thing. What's going on, man, we got someone. I gotta say something, Man, he missed his flight. That he misses his flight to the fucking battle. Big daddy came and called, you gotta stop missing his flight. Cougirap, what's going on? And we need Coolgi Wrap on listen. No one want to say it. I'm gonna say it, Coolgi Brack. We need your ass outside. You definitely need we need your ass outside. Very stout comes from me personally, Like I love Alder from that crack city. You know he belongs outside. Bring your ass outside. We're tired of it. I feel like he has to put a sound effect on your voice. Right he channeled this in itself. It's true. It's true that I did. He's one of the greatest. He don't get it. That's somebody who don't get enough flowers show him so we can give him. We love you, Coogi Wrap, come outside, stay outside. We got your back, bro, We got your backs. Like the birth the birth child of that Like you know what I'm saying in the perfect spawn into It's like when the fucking water hit, Um, gizmo, you know, just when the water hit gives more dog? Are you ready? Are you wrecking GisMo and TV wraps or video music box music box? I was out of line facts, Yeah, alright, I moved on O g or sour. It's not for you. It's we do not get it. It's not for you. Smoke give me now, you got your own joke. Ship. That's like you know we used to be smoking just taking Oh yeah, you know Kanye smoke that at least kin smoke that. This is to me the same. We don't got a gas who smokes you? You don't got a gas stout for me? That we don't to the stouth, We're gonna smoke O g a sour sir, all right, that sounds like a shot. This is this is this is a shot. This is a shot because see as a smoker and a stoner long wise explain it. No I ever tell y'all style speed. And I didn't even know this nigga wore glasses. This nigga had on glasses, the glass glass stories nigga. I was so mad at this nigga. This is the case through this rapper. I know he's inn like this. Excuse me, wait a minute. The part of Coles, part of someone said that that's the star in First of all, I was doing my job. That's what they called this. Stick did definitely pay you give us a bunch of week to stick if we hit everybody to everything. We would do judges, We would judges everyone. I supposed I'm shut the wheat this nick were going to every bar we eat smoking this ship. You know we had hmpsted In. Now we're smoking head. We're going to the bar. You know what many bars? I never meant to that many bars in my life. And then the more bars him with him and hmpsted In. But one day and almost my whole life out sided like working at the bar, like all the bars after that. But I see my brother's house like that, that sweater guard. He has his glass And it wasn't that he wore glasses. It was how he wore down moving down the rock like you gotta see man O G. I'm gonna I'm gonna tell you like this, I'm sorry. I never made no money off O G. And I never had no personal connections over O G. But the West Coast people make the best weed in the world, but sour. Yes. So I was like the tunnel. Damn you had to be there was the tunnel of a week. I had to beat this started. Squad of immediately started immediate sounds like me, immediately take another going, give me a little bit Japanese whiskey. I got to take a shot. I thought were taking a shot. It wasn't. So he said both. That was both. Now I'm going with I'm going with I'm gonna go with shower because that have personal connections with us. But what's what's coach? People make better weed than us? But how was that one particular special that we had that we had like we wanted to ship when we had shower smoking together. We got a shower, we got a song smokeus. Come on, yeah, we smocus showers. He loves he's an all around hip hop He's all around. He comes riding around. I know, you know right. I just like saying read but I read it ready, so it reads epen. I tried to get him. I want to get out of the DJ my party. He won't do it because he wants Vinyl. No, let's stop with that bullshit. Live bro. Yes, if it's not vinyl, he of mine. I can bring the car. Tell him you gotta switch the fun that you know. He called me to a show. I came out to perform with him. He didn't tell you, didn't tell me you was going to show mostly Spanish until me, Oh this is and he's talking about me getting I'm sorry, I don't know what you're talking about. But with shot, you bro got you solo, let up chilling, waiting for he come back. He hits the stage. That show show all the way for me. Me. That was great. I'm gonna tell you who I was man in jail. I can. I'm sorry that I could play handball and then I go play I'm not gonna play one right at that. I'm the only Nigger that could do that. You don't understand that. You don't understand the racial comparison that I just broke that cause I do. But your Spanish, you're Latino. I like that. I like that, know But what what what I'm saying is I never thought that was nothing wrong with that until I went to Chicago. And when I went to Chicago, I knew two cousins and lived the Courser Street from each other. But that Chicago that my first cousins. One is my black side, one is my and they don't know each other. But it's not across racial lines. Don't do that anyways, that's dang lines. You're correct. You're correct because my brother, Heckla, is from Chicago. Same ship I'm just saying, yeah, culture correctness, I love it. Yeah, okay, all right, we gotta finish off the Mets. Are the Yankees exactly? Styles, I'm not even asking quiz quiz. I don't want to shake out exactly? Can jump me? Rashy Carter keeping keeping down? Yeah? Had tho better Bo Jackson's podcast or radio? What's better right now? On podcast? The look you gave me? I had to sleep. Pould not succumbed to his letter podcast podcast. Okay, all right, this is crazy Lebrono Jordan's Jordan seven. I'm asking you this. Oh no, no, this ship what vine Walt Cassette. That's a hard accent. Take a shot? Yeah, oh ship. I'm sorry, I've never turned this ust. I've never turned this question on the original album. But we all right, we're getting were gonna have it drunk? Have it k he gon gonna drink chats Okay, m peace C sixty or MPC three thousand, MPC three dolls. They precipically said, having it's a question for happy, you should have styles the same question. Okay, you're speaking, I know what I'm kind of rappers get plugshit NPC for you rock him Okaine rock half could gie rapper scar face? Could you rap? I like that? Cool rapping faces? Say that again? Keep back, come outside the ut Yeah, man, we watch you outside COUCHI rab where do you want to give your flowers? Even though having put his flowers on the floor, I can tell you for I don't know because the queens ship was going to be in the way of the camera. Don't throw our flowers on the floor, havoc. Please on the floor, on the floor. I love you be on the floor. See look all right? Are you right? Yeah? Take one more piece for me? I got I would take one more Take one more piece? Yes, after the quiet time of slog fab or push your stops fab or pushing. That's a tough one. I'm gonna take the shot. You're gonna take the shot, all right, takes a shot shot? I mean, damn, that's that's actually one of the greatest one. I love pushing though, I love push I'm gonna take the shot. I respect that. I'm trying to really think about it. That was a fucking awesome question. Good one right? Has this sounds made? This one? Crazy? One? Man? The sound? Big up? The has it the sound? Damn? I still, I'm really like it's my solo. The engineer. He used to do a lot of cocaine. Now he stopped. Damn, that sucked me up. That really sucked me. I'm sorry. I got a job and do Okay, I get a sparkling water in line, somebody this drink champ, sir, I don't know if you just have sparkling water. So we don't even have women here looking one the way she's she's the toughest nicker here because that's the only woman. Like I gonna lie. I have to beef this ship up. We have to like get woman and like like that. I don't even know what you just ordered walking. I'm like, what did that? But we don't like like we need your water and a line like a Lemon's cousin brother line. Okay, I know what line is. Yeah, I want to walking. It's actually that's actually a thing walking water, really walking. You know, I'm my whole nigger, nigga. I've been getting money, but I'm still holding ship. I'm so sorry. Let's leave. Every time I go out, want to incredible, like the most elegant bushe is getting your bush elegant. You're at all the top ten places. You know the chef, you know the owner, you got reserves, you got bottles in your name, you got tables. You don't know the name of ship. This is fucking crazy. And you say ghetto ship when you I know they don't know what the fund you're saying. If I don't know what the fund, you're saying, they're coming back with your ship. It's a cross should be made, yo. This is these people. Look, I don't know how they know what this ordering all kind of ship. He's got a special requesting that mostly is Alan carts. Game is nuts, not razy new engineering mills. It's nuts. You haven't been to eat with him. Yeah, he's very nice. He's very Look sparkling water nine. You definitely need this because this is when you're getting when you're getting wired, and this is what the the shrooms. I like you burp up, you burp up the alcohol. He's really sparkling water? Is that really a thing. I think it's nine. I don't know abum was at all? The pickle juice is for you, path because we need you to answer this correctly. Okay, at A Miami to get it out Miami Ammy all day? Who at l A or Miami l A. We're still doing quick time. Jesus wait, better weeding out here. Okay, I love out here. I love it east coach l A. All right, now I'll see the question. All right, Gang Star or Pete Rocket? See us smooth damn shot. It feels like a shot to meet half you gotta force it. Yeah, but can you pour a shott? Yeah you're thinking you see food? Y'all? Look our fans, fans is gonna say, having you having won a drink drink yea, having some legend. Let's go come on solid have to answer up. Yeah, yeah, that's exactly. But getting into Gang Star and Pete Rock sales move Pete rockets and we didn't meant to pet Rock. We went talk about the producers pet Rock. Did you hear the story that Pete Rock and Primolless but just recently that he said he that he never got paid for illmatic like the royalties. Yeah, I'm not surprised me. What would that be a lawsuit against nagas, Because when you do a lawsuit, you gotta put several people in there, like everybody's gonna be in there, probably not personal media saying like trying to pick it out and say not yet person And I hate to say this, ple God bless. I love y'all against no just about old media outlets with not I'm part of media underground. Think about this, anybody hate if you start using your common sense? When Nas made it allmatic? Was he the executive producer? Was he in control of it? Did he run the label? Did he run anything? So what's gonna get the likes, the clicks, the blobs? And he Rock is suing eyes? So Pete Rock, an you thinking about hurting Nas when he did it? Because Nas wasn't in because Nas came fresh off from twelve or forty one side forty like you know what I mean and all that, and I'm pretty sure he didn't have control of those things. And it was other people. So people are quick to shay Pete Rocket showing Nas and without really thinking about this fucking thing about like having saying somebody like having have knows you know, I know Pete Rock ain't trying to hurt NAS, And that's where it gets funked up because we don't want the media people and the world thinking Pete Rock is trying to hurt NAS. That's not that's not what's happening. But that's the headline work needs to get. Definitely, have you ever have you ever been through that? Because we just you just said immediately when you said, I'm not surprised. So because I produced the dozens of artists that I ain't see no royalties from, and you don't blame the artists, No, I don't blame the UTI. Stop blame the fucking fun reass labels. And I'm gonna tell you why because I'm outside. I'm gonna tell you all because every time when you like, Okay, you produced the record six months ago, the fucking album went platinum, and you're telling me that they unrecouped, so you can't get your money. So the artists gotta recoup first before the producer even sees because because you get your first half up front. Yeah, but that's nothing. And what about the sample when you produce? When you produce the record, say if you charge for a track you produce the track boomboo. You're on the studio, they give you a ten thousand dollars. Then when the track is done and the album gets released, you get your other halt. But that's just an advance towards your royalties. You understand, you still old a percentage if their album goes double, triple platinum. Yeah, but the artist has to recoup before he even pays anybody realty, don't they? You sample clearance against producers? Well, I mean, you know what I'm saying. If you sample something and you tell the label, they got to clear it, right, But yeah, I'm not I don't know, I don't know. But most of the time, Greatest car, I'm sorry, but most of the times sample It depends on who does it. Most of the time it really goes against the artists because the producer, really he just gets his fifty off top and then it becomes part of the artist thing. It depends if someone is smart enough to structure structure it like that. Yes, but the whole, the whole, to get to the nutshell of it, to get to the nitty gritty. We're having a conversation that really ends up with Rapery and the strategy that we'd instructure, and the whole business that we'd instructure, and then you make you just say rapery, Yeah, it's like state tragically. I know that it's all making the work. We get what raper means in the hood. I do exactly what you mean. But you know everybody, but here's here's what we're saying. We really are sitting here trying to have a intelligent conversation about and you know this. You know this, and I know this. You're coming from out the hood usually selling drugs with a stop job, and this record game cycle has been put in place years before any of us got hit. Who the fuck your lawyers? Your lawyer is gonna go with the industry pretty much. You know what I mean, Man, Everything is pretty much their side until you know enough to say something. Then when people even know something, they're scared to say something because there ain't nobody really there to do shit about it. So we're all under a structure that's fucking antiquated. At the end of the job. The reason why ship like, um, you know what what what Hod is doing, what rock Nation is pretty dope. Start having some ownership of your ship. And then even with that, now our ownership none else could really break down streaming exactly how it really works, to the to the to the to the bear sign. Yeah, so a lot of ship is is happening all at once, and it's like we ain't the systems antiquated, and we're kind of being antiquated too because we don't have unity. Now, it sounds a little crazy, but if I keep worrying about just looking better than you, then we ain't doing it. We ain't making the next play like antiquated. Just I don't know what antiquated. I mean, it's like it's like an antique. It's an old system. It's it's very old. It's it's ours our kave basically, so to say one of my works. So basically, we were really trying to sit here and always talk about the system that wasn't built for any of us to win anyway, so we try to make sense of it, talk about it, do this, and that that ship was set up from the jump for none of us to win, and then those who figured out how to defeat it and coming back to the herd enough to say, yoh, here's how we all fuck it up. That's why new systems always come and play. Look, we're all in music, right, everybody in here you love music, right, you're you, You're a rapping, I'm a rapper, he's a producer. And all this ship you lose your phone? I know, I said all that, lose your phone with your music, man, lose your phone right now? Where the funk is your music? What are you playing it on? So we ain't even together, So we ain't even thinking about the next steps together because you're too busy trying to be better than me. Instead of trying to figure out they got shipped figured out way before, like so you you you, you, you, you're looking at you're looking at hoving? Did they shan't getting mad at them or what they do? Instead of trying to say, yo, how do we all get together? Figure it out? What's the next player? I learned a few how do I do this and that? And then all of us being together, be a little stronger. Then when they come with the next system, what happens? What the fund percentages? Hip hop don't get out of opteless? I asked you this now while we sit at this table, what are we gonna get out of that? And then you got you don't have how much is hip hop gonna contribute to there. You know that, you do, you already know the answer to that. But what are we gonna get out of it? Not not ship? You know why, because we ain't going in it together to try to get anything out of it, because we're too busy just fucking looking worried about being let and let me just I'm streaming now. My trip said it. I'm sorry, but my third eyes open. I'm a little far on you. But you know, sometimes just quiet before some times, and sometimes common sense got to start. Sometimes con sense gotta start kicking. It gotta kicking all the time. Yeah, you can't, you can't ask for that. But it's like we ain't getting part of we ain't getting. We ain't we don't have ownership and none of the new ship because you just want to look better than me and living than me, and or you want to dick ride the nigger part of my French. But it's like, you know, it's a it's a lot of it's a lot of broke Kanye's. It's a lot of broke Catalyst, it's a lot of broke Norris. There's a lot of broke Halves, it's a lot of broke styles. Piece there's a lot of broke, talented people with no fucking light on them. But the nigga get clicks and lights and you just dick ride him and ignore everybody else. And that's the community. And we're right now. I hate to say it, but the rappids turn to a lot of dick riding and a lot of instead of looking back at who your people are, where you from, how we make how we make the next move. Like I'm I'm I'm I'm gonna when I get out of here, I'm gonna promote juicy You know why. That's another juice ball, that's a sister, that's a brother and a sister, fru veggies hood, another ownership, not not I'm I'm mad at this thing. You got the juice ball, No open the juice, will open the juice while open the juice ball. Get an n f T. Get a Digi cor and get a Digi coo and get a gym, Get a gym, get a gym, get like yeah, like doing that all this, all this like I gotta be litter than you. And it's like nigga, Ya niggas is antiquity. Your niggas is fucking dinosaurs. Y'all is the last y'all the last species. You're not even a new being you out of this. You're not even fit for what's going on right now. I hate to say it, but a lot of y'all is fucking not even paying attention to what's going on because you you caught up in the last ship instead of being on a new ship, Ready Player one, being out years before turn a ready Player one. You understand what I'm saying, um um, a lot of ship. They show you what's the What's what? What's Will Fair? What's Will Farrell? And Gene Hackman? What's that movie? Anybody who know movies? In here? I mean not j I mean Gene Hackman and Smith. I'm sorry, Endemy to state. First see Endemy of the State. What the funk? That's crazy? And the media state is here? You certain you first see Minority Report? What the funk? Now? You're doing Minority Report to show you everything you're doing. But we're so lost and we want to challenge each other too much instead of like picking up off of it. Now, I'm gonna leave it alone. Question give me sniper fucking I'm ready. You're not. You're not getting snipe here? But I'm gonna do I'm gonna end it with these three. This is still quick time. Jesus, Great Britime has been going crazy. Quick Time is drunk, all right, I'm gonna ending with this one too too. In w a wool time, w a wol tag. He see, I'm going with the shots because I don't think it's a woul tange without n W Wait wait, wait, wait wait, how did you say that? I didn't I don't think it's a wou tang without the NW. But the way you said that, you said you're going with the I'm gonna take a shot shot. I'm not just saying it's that simple and just gonna pick wou tane because I'm gonna pick woul Tang because I'm from I'm from New York, got a kind of East Coast. Everything's drugs, but n w A opened us to the door of being. If you're gonna stop asking this perfectly, I gotta stop asking me questions. Sounds like Pandora's box. You don't want to know all the answers. You know what it is. This is the last last in this always with this question, and the simplest question about this is the simple this way. I hate when people try to make this. But it's loyalty or respect? What's my point? Which one? Which was better? Or whatever it is? I say respect. There's no wrong answer. You can't be respected if you ain't got loyalty. Take your shot. That's that's that's the correct But how can somebody be loyal to you if they don't have to respect for you? That's also the correct answer, and really the correct one is they go here, they go hand and right. I don't know what the fun is that is? Does itself? God holow slow. It's easier to be respected than getting loyalty. Though, it's easier, yes, tell you that, not better because somebody could be like, YO, say, I ain't gonna like you know what I'm saying. I respect you, man, but they're gonna pay me more money. I know I've been down with you for ten years, but they pay me more. I respect you, my nigga, but you know what I'm saying. You know what I'm saying. So the loyal team that did, but they respect you enough to tell you that could be that also could be loyalty though telling you that truth. Loyalty will tell you that no. But loyalty will take the bread and tell you though. But he's not loyal. Loyalty will taken less but of course small. If you gotta respect me, you gotta respect me. How about this both? First, respect is a thing that comes up with energy. I'll come in this room. I don't know anybody. You don't disrespect me. I don't disrespect you. You respect me. I have to give you respect. That's a human being. That's part of just being a human being with strangers, friends, family, or anything apart until further notice. Loyalty is something that's earned. You gotta earn loyalty. You gotta prove loyalty. Loyalty comes with prices and a lot of ship to proven. It's no, you don't have to prove respect. I come in this room, same thing every time. It's disrespect until it's not respect. You understand. But loyalty is something different. Loyalty is a whole different ball king. Loyalty is Loyalty is belief, faith, trust, love, understanding, and and no money is involved in loyalty. Money money is not any equation in loyalty. I could come in this room the most wealthiest man. You're gonna respect me for my wealth. I could come in this this room the most violent man, gonna respect me from my violence. I could come in this room the most peaceful man. You're gonna respect me for my peace, most religious man, you're gonna respect me for. That is just the loyalties, just definitely fucking me up right now. That's the blunt. I'm sorry, I'm sorry, stop you, but the shrooms did. Yeah, he gotta be shroomed up. The blunt, the frill in it. I'm supposed to get you high. You're getting me funked up there. Continue to stop. Know, I'm just saying loyalty. You know, it don't really take much to get respect. People respect people they shouldn't respect. People respect things without knowing. People respect people who have more without even asking how did they get more? And how did he earn it? Like do I don't even respect how he got it? So respecting respect come from a lot of likes, a lot of love, a lot of power, word of mouth, loyalty and right now, the loyalty different story. Yo, ain't gonna makes a loyal Stop getting deep. This is this is one million percent. The question is probably gonna throw you off, right because I want the viewers to know we love each other. I love you. You know you you put us on. But at one point there was like a cube. It was a component oriega mob deep m hmmmff the beef started and proud as you said this in his book, So I would like to refute this or address this and proud of his books. He said that you came phones door and then you swung on tragedy. Mm hmm. That's what That's what the book says. You know, I would like you to address this because I know I don't mean you spoke off camera and if you if you don't want to speak about this week, we could you know what I'm saying. Like you know, sometimes people remember things the way they like to remember it, you know what I'm saying. So you know what I'm saying, Um, I don't know. That's the way he remember things. The way I remember things. It's like, you know, tragic. It's like a mentor of mine, you know what I mean, Like top, you know what I mean. He didn't want to give me my MC name. What I'm saying, You know what I'm saying. Over the years, me and Trash had our differences, but never would I ever swing on him. You know what I'm saying. I never do nothing like that, you know what I mean? So you know, I don't know. Sometimes maybe he heard that. You know what I'm saying, that it morphed into something. Who knows. But um no, you know I funk with trash man. You know what I'm saying. That's not people's God bless especially you know I was here that I don't know. I don't know if I'm took like this. Man, you're just asking the question. No, I just want to Yeah, never mind, I'm not apologize. I know, think that wizard more. I got one more left in me. I want a little peace. But later later we're gonna get high. Ya get people funked up on your show shows, not just in general. Yeah, I think that's the premise that I'm supporting the show number one. But you want let's get out to me trevise the shrip. So let's move on. What are you looking at me? Let me tell you say, this is where the one guard to guard coming. He's telling my because I'm high right now, look to him. Yes, I like you know, you know I haven't put the blunt in Vicky. And then you so here's where he was going. Yes, when you hold me, I think I got where he was going. Kind of. Now, how he started was where. It doesn't matter where he let off. It's mad at how he started, because that's where he meant that you a component had boom. Yeah, that's where he just brought him back. I felt like YA was the same bitch. I don't even know all because I'm I don't know this, I don't know this, but it was p we know where this is going. Listen, we would all ignored this ship. But he put it in his book that Pony him are carting the same chick. Yes, Tall Street, you know how that kicking? I don't. I don't. Look. This is a small world. He's stretching out small you know what I'm saying, Like it's the real siss the small world. You know what I mean? That holes make it smaller. So we're just gonna keep it like that. Yeah, you gotta love half. I love the question. I love the answer. He's like, I don't want to talk about it. I got to know that. What that mean is he's spoke about it soci In case you didn't know, this is my favorite group. This is my group. That put me on. I'm coming from left front. I don't know what's going on. It's an incident that happens. Boom. Once it happened, I got to claim my side. What's the incident? What? What's the incident? I don't know, you don't know the incident. That's what he was asking. Half. You're talking about like that. And this is what I started. He said, it started in QB whatever whatever, X Y and Z or some dumb dish or whatever. You know what I mean. Seeing them was rocking at the time and we was in Queens. Um. I guess seeing them was supposed to be there and we were supposed to be there at the same time. Prior to that, No, prior to that. It was an incident. That and p mission in his book that like like something like you came upon crab or something like that. I don't if you want to speak about it, you can is so old because so sink A Pone called me all that. It's funny now, it's funny now, So you know what I mean. You never spoke about it. Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, So you know what I'm saying. Take a shot. Okay, let's take We need you to speak about this. I'm trying to see if I can remember. I don't even know which visy was about, you know what I'm saying. But all I know is that you what I'm saying, I kind of got in my familys over some ship, you know what I'm saying. And you know I wanted to go speak to the pone, so I was not going on this door. He was a deal whatever. Nothing came of that, you understand what I'm saying. But then you know, the tension was there. It was like what the fund is? Uh, you know, having why do you want to talk to the pone or whatever? And I guess the world got out and then you know, niggas was a little bit hyper on my side, and I'm sure I think it's on yes side. Got the word like, you know, something funny is going on. This is the biggest by the way. This look. I want to say this because it's beautiful where we at in light of course, of course why would have because his name is not in nothing, But he's knocking at the door. They get knocked on poem door. But this just I'm doing. He going now, But just like when some talking said, like you know what I'm saying whatever whatever, You know what I'm saying. But anyway, to make a look small story short, that ship was in the air, right and then y'all seeing them was somewhere in Queens and we were somewhere and you know, I'm saying something from my crew, I'm not gonna say yeah, so I'm not I'm not gonna say nothing about the person. You know what I'm saying, you know whatever, because that's one nigger too, So I don't want to be like I'm making fun of him or anything like that. You under saying what I'm saying. So he jumps out the whip because he was, you know, a little you know what I'm saying, Louis maybe wink into something like that, and he ran towards your people's you know what I'm saying that whatever it was that happened, like you know, I wouldn't have did it like that, but your people don't know what's going on, and then they get backed down, you know what I'm saying, and and and and and shot them home. You know I'm saying, like you know, I mean, status and living tastes up. I didn't say like, you know what I'm trying to snitch or nothing. There's some like they get backed out, like you know what I'm saying, so um and and and I think that was like, oh ship, you know what I'm saying. It is like seeing them off the you know, because because you know why I say that, to say this, we could have been the biggest together, right especially at that time, at that time, you know what I'm saying, we didn't could have been the biggest together. So you know why I actually that I'm looking at you face to face, man and man, It's because I didn't know if it really was over a girl. I just didn't know. I was just on one side of the drama. You toltally on the other side of the drama. And that's when I really thought about it. I'm like the reason why mom, just thinking about it. If mob Deep and C and then would have like morphed together, I was gonna say, Colomboris, I'm glad I didn't say nothing. No, same different, same things. You wouldn't the words you would have been so so I've told about it, I swear have it come out like dad, imagine if we would have actually, but I don't know this story. All I'm on on the other side of the wall. So I say that to say, damn, imagine if this woman, if this was over a woman. But wait, wait, wait, imagine this way. Guys, Guys, this is a thing. If it wasn't. So the rest of the world that's watching you, guys, it doesn't understand, it doesn't understand why this collaboration didn't become something bigger. I mean, this is this is first, but that was first before. Yeah, but it should have been a bigger thing after that, right, I mean, you know, look, man, everything happened full reason. You know what I'm saying. Do really? I mean, some ship happened. You look, can't see what? Do you know what I'm saying? And if somebody died, he did his and his and you let me just I just want to say something. Me and you have never ever, like never, through the worst of the worst. Man. We will not our cruises trying to kill each other. Me and you have never crossed the path. And I respect you for that. I want to let you know that. But jeez, when I look back at it, I say, damn, we could have been if we would have just looked. But I never knew that story. That's why this story I'm asking you. It's for me. This is ain't for the fans. That ship was for me. So I know you kind of dodged it, but you did answer to Nah, I didn't dodge it. Like I said. You know what I'm saying. It was it was it was a discovercy over over some check. You know what I'm saying. I mean, but he was babies. You know what I'm saying that if that's what happened today, I'd be like, you know, over the world. Yeah, you know what I'm saying. You took a problem over my ends. You know what I'm saying. And to be honest with you, I'm glad it happened. You know what I'm saying, because you know what I'm saying. You know, Yeah, you know what I'm saying. Please, but you let me just be clear with you. Let me just tell you something. When Nitty Godfather, I love these niggers. Like so when the drama happened, it was so hard for me because I had to pick my side. But at the end of the day, listen, twelve Street raised me. Like when I came home from jail, I went to twelve Street. I didn't go to the Left Frack I went to Queensbridge and Mark Dieck was the biggest ship ever and I just said there and I was a child, So I just want you to know that, like as a man, that ship bothered me because one it was I'm and I'm sorry everyone's here, but it was like kind of you on compons like a little little secret ship. Then blew over and y'all both from across the street from each other, live on the same block, same block. So not really though, I'm gonna tell you what everybody in it with everybody in the nineties problem was even to don't help me. I gonna try plays a lot a lot of this ship, but entourage also, But you understand what I'm saying, Like, um, when you holdies, are you mean so you have a certain amount of respect for each other, right, Um, no matter what happened, however it went, it's supposed to happen between the two people. But you guys will hope for each other, for everybody in the hood. So when somebody's hope, the rest of the entourage, and it's like the basketball player, the rhyme of the star, the doctor, the church, and the one person who started making it out, everybody else becomes passionate about that person. So when the entourage is involved, that becomes the problem. Like you know what I'm saying. So when when whoever loved Have Love Have was involved, whoever loved home Love Home was involved, and everybody got word, And then if it comes to the homies hopping out and this and that, it becomes bigger than the original problem it was because how we it was. Man, that's what Pop he kind of does to people. I never wanted it, just so you know, just so you know, I never wanted it, like I was pursuing a beef. I had nothing to do with did you know it? No, you didn't know it, No, like I had just just it was like it was just on. So I was like, damn. But by the way, this is the same block these niggas is across the street from each oun d. But you know what I'm saying, Like I said, you know, I'm saying, my my homie that hopped out called that day. You know, I'm saying he was passing it and then you see how and then people passing it on your side. You know what I'm saying. You know, So that's why I for like, but at the end, of the day. I feel like, you know, I kind of like, you know, I could have went about it a different ways because that ship could have got people really really hurt over something that wasn't even really worth it, you know what I'm saying. But at that time, when you're young, you know what I'm saying. Any little thing is a big thing. You understand what I'm saying. And when you think about it, to be honest, when you when you if it was to happen now today we just be like, man, I'm outside, I'm I'm from left Frack. This is Queen's bread. Yeah, So I gotta shut them up. I really gotta shut the funk up and just see what's going on. So I say that to say I needed to hear everything you just say right now. I'm telling you, my brother, Actually this is therapy for me because I never knew where it went wrong. I just didn't know. I was like we in l A l A. We go want to get a whole coast? How the fund are we fighting each other? No one knows we gets the whole coast. But we also it's firing at each other like on site type ship crazy. Yeah, it was, it was. It was. That was a bad time. We were retarded. Let's just stow it out there. We were. I'm sorry anybody was retarded. Bro terrible, Bro, it was terrible. Bro. L A l A video shoot. Let me just tell you something. I'm gonna be honest. I don't know. I don't know where stars going retarded. L A Video Shoot had to be the most guns I've ever seen in my whole entire life. We just have a shootout, and then we just have a video shoot together. Crazy, Who does sign this the fact that we're alive together and we're sitting here and talking hard. But by the way, and let me just by the rest in peace, Pea in peace. Prodigy. The only line on that record, said JFK on our Way to l A. The only line on L A l A was the Prodigy line. And then hit him Up came out the day after, and I remember Steve Ripken calling us and saying, take Prodigies first and all for the ship. We're sitting there. Steve Ripken had dinner with Steve Koman yesterday. He said, take Prodigies verse off of the ship. I was just sitting there like damn. And then hit him up, drop at twelve at midnight, and I remember Steve Ripken calling us to staying saying, probly you showing up to the video. Never questioned it. I never said do you remember what you just said? Let's play that one that and that's it, and I'm gonna be honest with you, so I never I say this about you when you're not here. I want to thank you have I want to say that marb Deep didn't have to do a record with Component Noriega at all. Let me finish picking you up. Finish you m P and your whole crew. Yr Co signed us by you giving us a voice, by you giving us a hook? Are you giving us a beat? That ship changed our life. And I'll tell you to your face, man and man as a man, I love the ship out of you for that. But you don't You don't know le like mob Beat was small beat, we wasn't bone in Noriega. And when y'all did that, that ship made us what we are. And I will never take that for granted to the to the day I die. If you want to come on here and you want to talk about pink toe nails, I'll just give you an example. You can talk about anything purple if you want to talk about turquoise nails, because this is this is the example, this is your this is your this is your motherfucking platform. Brother, I really wouldn't be really yeah, And I'm glad, I'm mall be for life and I'm glad we got to like talk about the mob deep see ship because it's a very important thing in Queen's history and it's hip hop history. Forget, don't forget. Damn you you on your on your on your A game today. But I think it's note at all. I don't never I've never asking you in my life. I've never called you. But you know, it's just something no, no, no, I don't mind, but him him, man something, Actually, stop with that bullshit. Man. Don't act like he's like, he's like and he gave you. Oh oh Mr least so you actually I didn't say every drug in the world. Got that that. It's only Mr le Mr. Ley know each other. We're family, man. Got history. We asked you who you would do with versus what already right, you said we we already got that. You addressed that, Jim Jones, I did it. Versus. I hate talking about versus, like you know, what that like being competitive all the time. But I don't want to keep dragging it out and coming up whoever the funk want anything at any given time. It's open doors for everybody. Any given days. You don't want to hear sitting there and talk I don't give a what you want to do track versus that. We don't have to sit there and politicize about it. You can just get we just get right to it and leave it at that. Like just I'm an open door policy all year around until the day I die. This open door. You want to call me, I got anybody, I don't care, bar none, everybody. I wasn't ready for the answer. No, just at any given moment, first anything, song anybody, any time you want to get in the lab right now you let's be competitive, call me. We could bake a play out of it and everything back. You're fucking right, like like you know saying the versus is cool. You know all the questions about who were we doing versus with? I went him fucking anybody come through, that's it, come through any giving moment, listen, man, any MC like this is any there's too much podcast radios, Instagrams, Twitters, sneaker dropped computers and all this and that. Any given moment you want any kind of beat on the record, that's what you supposed wanting. That's it. That means you're doing what we do me. I'm near save the clap now, hey man, she's the weeds, Papa Cheese. We don't covered everything, I think. I think I think holy ship. Let's but I'm going to the third piece. But we never talked about you produced for Big Yeah, last Day's I produced the soon last days for Big? What what the locks on? That? The locks is on? Think? I think there was like what was that like your debut to the world like with that record? Oh no, yeah, you have something before that. I have no idea what that debuted to the world is. I want to say you'll see. Oh I think here's what I want to say. Last Day to the elite was just from um. If you think about it, and you think about Big, he didn't really call that many people around with and work with. If you look back at it, everybody you called the work with or do anything with, who are they where all day today? And water? What are they? The jedies? And think about it, You're gonna look at the history. Anybody think about it, think about the producers he's worked with, the artists he's worked with, and think about it like where they stand today and hip hop and what they meet the hip hop today. Big was a student of the game, which means he definitely was. He did his ship built off of making some solid music because he loved to make solid music. Like Big never had to embrace us, He never had to take us in, but he did because he was sucking. You'll see, you'll see, you'll see. Yeah, I was saying that ship on it. The Big came on. He killed it too. Yeah. That was like I wont I think, but um as you were saying, I think on Life after Death was introduction to say, shoot from deep, straight out the shoot from Deep. You know Frank White, call you work. That means something. It's definitely a crazy record. Now let me ask you how the first album dropped juvenile Hell, it's not the reception that you want. But then the second album dropped right, Shook wants the Biggest. I also came to the Survival of the Fittest video shoot. I came there and all looked, and I looked how y'all was glowing y'all were just glowing and I just looked and I was just like, damn, how was that feeling coming from the first album to that? Yeo, Man, I'm gonna be honest with you man, that's it felt crazy amazing, Like you know what I'm saying, Like how you got the whole projects on your back? You know what I'm saying. You can't do no wrong, Like I was shooting that video in front of my building where I grew up at, Like you know what I'm saying, Like I mean when I was playing tagget you know what I'm saying, and you just say tag that hot peas and butter all that. But if you ain't drinking like j Z Champagne Snuggers stuck us, that a cool but um yeah, now that ship felt crazy man, like you know, and then to have did he come down to the video shoot? God? Did he was down there? You know what I'm saying. He whole money to worry? Did he came down to the video shoot? Shot? The video we fresh off with shook ones were just shooting survival the album was like, fir, come on man, I'm outside. I'm sorry, sorry, I'm a good nick I'm a great, Nick, I was sorry. Yeah, in a nutshell, man, that ship was it was just it was amazing. Man. If I could do that shit again, I would, you know what I mean, over again, I would, because that really boosted the morale. You know what I'm saying from all deep really in the city man, you know what I'm saying New York City. First of all, thank you for correct for New York, you know, get it because the city. But but that I think that was one like I always tell him, like it's always an honor to work with him, because you got to think, even at the time, I think what made what made mob deep special And it was a duel, like you know what I mean, And there was the duel of the new generation talking that ship we understood because everybody else to that time, you had nas, you had whole, you have big. But then but everybody who was living in it at that time in New York outside Mama, it didn't even matter about being grunged. They were grungy. They was definitely grungy. But I don't even think that was the point. It was the point about your whole lifestyle at that particular time in the Golden Era, was about the dirt you was doing with your homies and your man, because whatever dirt you was doing, you wasn't doing it alone. And it became a lifestyle and somebody was going through the same tragic ship you was going through. That wasn't really explaining it to each other, but you knew what the funk it was, and that's just what it was. So it was like they represented something that was different with you know, Nigacine a duel together, rappering the whole project. This is the time when you know, Brothers was hustling on the corner that lex cool. She got any any bottles? That was the that was the thing. Man, We hustled. We put this work and we just want to buy European you want to drink. That was your life goal was getting the key in the European caring a nice sheet. That was That was pretty much and good sneakers and gear and you made it for life. He was a kingpin. That's stupid ship. But now this famous skit you guys got on the album mm hmm with Prodigy talking about Keith Murray. You know what when obviously, when when he first did it, I didn't really know who the funk he was talking about really, to be honest with was clueless. But then when I heard him saying certain things, I was like, oh, ship, he is talking about them, but you know what I'm saying, like about or it's I love the way you just he was like that first I'm saying because you know Nika did this ship, I wasn't even in the studio. I just kind of separations like I wasn't in the studio when he did it, but I only heard it when we started sequencing the album. I said, what's this to the skit? It was that skid, So I was you know, I wasn't the type of person to be like, yo, pe take that ship off because Nick is gonna think about whatever he did. He was talking about them like he took that old purpose. Like I was like, damn, Like I want to come. I was like, you know I didn't. Hey man, I was there. I was there when they stepped on him. Dude, like bro no, but bro keep it up. Keep Mary is crazy crazy. But definitely you know me, you know, I don't type of negga like to stay new to you. But you know when he said that, I was on, like, you know what I'm saying that was on and you know that was just P for you man, he was one of the niggas like I don't he didn't do that for um for like just for play play or you know what I mean, to make for people to laugh at, nothing like that. He really felt like that because that was you know, he had this level of I don't give a funkness, like you know what I'm saying in his blood, you know what I'm saying. And P just was you know, he was one of those things like he didn't give a funk. I learned early not to try to modify his ship control, saying like you know, I used to be like, no, Pete, you know, just do sixteen balls. We gotta do a format. This nigg is doing ninety bars, you know what I'm And I drew format to beat to ninety bars. Now he just was rounding forever. He was one of them forever. You know what I'm saying, I'm like, come on, we gotta do it like this. And then I thought about it. You know everybody, I see everybody love it. I was like, shut the funk up. You know what I'm saying to myself, I'm just like, so you had a ninety bar part of the beat Illustrious. He was robing forever. You know what I'm saying, Like, you know, just one of those songs, and he he was one of them things that would do that, like he would go outside of the format. You understand what I'm saying. Like he wasn't the person to just didn't get a fun Yeah, yeah, he was Like you know what I'm saying, And you know, as P reminds me of that, Like you know what I'm saying, Like for like seven tell these niggas what the dude, They're gonna do what they want to do. You know what I'm saying, seven bars, I can see ninety seven bars. I mean you let him do it. He's gonna do it. Um, when you work with a great you want to show are you agreed and you want to do what you want to? You want to do what you want to do. But I think, um, you want some of this z expressive Champagne. I want Champagne today and I love jay Z because you had to have some trade going. I am very weird, weird. It's never wrong with me and old ware. Those of the world don't feel weird when people call you weird. It's just the weird line that you can't cross. It's like overwear. That's the thing with being weird. People think you except everything. I'm gonna tell you. When I knew that you was one of my closest friends, I got it something here and this is this gonna get a little serious. And I apologize, But Troy, I did something that pissed you off. And I called Troy, I have immediately and I had to at him know that or where my where my side stood. He was appreciating me at that time, and then I appreciated it and I love you for that, and I'm thankful and I give you your flowers for that because it was on my journey. I was like, hey, what are you doing. You can't be at the time if I was like, no, I'm not even on that time, I was loud to be like n but your mind state where you were, I mean, what you wanted, you want it, and that's it. Sometimes. But then you know, it's good to have people who could who could g G check you. That's why I love um. That's what it being in points of the points of having family and homeboys and friends is about. Somebody say um, being a dickhead. I'm being a dickhead. Yeah, like black cool cool, all right. No, I wasn't being I wasn't being a dick I wasn't being a dickhead. But it wasn't It wasn't a time to be that, Pete. And that was something that he reminded me of, like you're gonna even go to this way or you're gonna go to that way? Which one you want to go? And it was like, uh, do you listen to me? You listen to real advices, real advices. When you give somebody something, they gotta listen. If you don't listen, then the advice I give you it's worth nothing. So damn I ain't gonna lie. Oh I mean think we got anything else to talk about? Like, I just I wanna get on the plane.
