Welcome to Drink Champs, the production of The Black Effect and I Heart Radio and it's drink That's motherfucking podcast. Mason, he's a legendary queen's rapper. He's like it's your boy in r He's a Miami hippop pioneer. Up is d j e f N. Together they drink it up with some of the biggest players in the most professional unprofessional podcast. And your number one sorts for drunk drink is New year' z. Just time for Drink Champs. Drink Up, Mother, would it could be? Hopeully would have shot me to see point? And what up is dj e FN and his drink? Now? This is one of the episodes I love. This is one of the moments I love because not only is this man a legend, we recently had discrepantencies or misunderstanding. And when you do something that's wrong, or if you do something that you thought, um, you didn't mean to, but you gotta write your wrongs. And that's what real men do. Real men don't base their feelings of a boyish behavior. Real men act like real men. And besides that, we had the invitation to him, we we we got respectful him He's a legend, one of the first child stars, not only just a child star, but a child star that was like gangster. He's in mad movies, got movies with l L, got records with Big Ol, part of the motherfucking legendary Well tell you motherfucking clan. But I kind of feel like he started his career on his own. We don't get to the bottom of that. We're gonna talk about the Movie's gonna talk about this new show. We're gonna talk about everything. In case you don't know who the funk we talk about Shah, the rugged man, page page page. You can't you can't. You can't want to be the rugged child no more right, you know what, It's one of them things. I don't think I'll ever be able to shake it, like Luduwayne can never not be accepted. Yee, I don't got a choice. It's like I tell people in my age and they still think I'm fifteen, Like they don't un to stand the growth. Let's talk about that. Let's talk about the beginning, because how did you exactly get on? Because I believe we heard of you prior to us here and about whoo who, Well it will come out of ninety two? What what what year was it? Well, my process into the music, um Uchang was always the thing of Ruchang for me. You know, Um, I'm from Stevens and Projects. You know, Um Home and Gholdt Face producer, R and S, Rocky and m Yeah like that flow so like and um and Knife Prince, you see me, Knife Prince. We met in second grade and we were just friends. And Rock he was his big brother. They had DJ equipment, you know what I mean. I was coming from the Projects. I really didn't have that, but I was able to go around and see real speakers. Besides, back then we used to have part parties, like yeah, DJ dr Rock was from Staton Allen and he was that's the Foursome seas back and then back in the A so they would throw Paul jams. And that's what got me into it, you know what I mean. Um, seeing that and then dealing with real life like when my mom's drug addiction. It was like when I was sitting in a wrap, it was loved. So that kind of gave me the confidence. And that's why my rom's always was about out that about the struggle, because it was therapy for me. To get it out because I didn't really have many people to talk to. What age was you when you first came out? When I came out, We'll see. This is the thing I was kind of. I was outside for a long time before I actually got on Mercury from the legendary R and B group to force him ds there from stat Mallen and Mirk would throw parties and he would bring artists to stat Allen and he would let me open up to perform. So that's how it was, meeting like shoot out Green Daddy, are you naughty? All before you know what I'm saying. I got my opportunity once I started to do those shows rock Ym and R and S who produced the un c S at the time. He they started just like, oh, come up to the studio and started to let me come around, and then I started to. But the thing was, I had to get my own tapes, you know what I'm saying. Back then you had to go get the Maxwell teams and not saying store. That's what I had to do, you know what I'm so, I would do all types of things and no, no, no, thirteenes. Once I had to deal we're talking, I'm probably nine. I'm probably like, I can't even imagine that everything he's saying that him, I never had a curve, you I mean, you know, my mom's in the street, so it allowed me to be outside. So my hustle was go to the store. So that's how we'll get my little dollars. Taking bottles to the store. That's who I was. That's who the Rugged show was. I took bottles to the store. I packed back. Yeah, yeah, yeah, excuse me, miss, Can I help you see your bag with your car? The supermarket? That was me drug dealers. Yeah, I'll go to store, keep the change. And that's how I fed myself some most nice you know. And I brought my tapes and started to go up there and create demos. So I had finally got a demo. It's called the Bad Little Basket, and r and nests and big wigs and God rout taking them and he was shopping gp Will at the time, and my song was on the tape and they're at a meeting, and you know, back then, they would play the tape and taper in and go to the other side. So I had to meet in the tape go. So in all that, I'm a bad little basstid, who do you And they're like, who's this little girl girl? Because you're so young. Everybody thought I was a girl. Even Big Daddy King said, I thought he was a girl when I've seen him because my head was white. I don't know, but my voice was real, like EMC lightish right, And they're like, NA, that's that's my little man for my project. They're like, yo, you got a picture of them, and it was like yeah, and they gave him a picture. It was like yo, we want to sign them. And it was just like word and then it was then it was just like this little kid from Stevenson Projects now got three hundred and fifty hollars because what was the first labor side Virgin Records, Virgin Records. That was what Janet Jackson was Jackson. Girls gotta smell Janet Jackson. No, I actually didn't get jack but I met Michael Jackson was calm down nine a kid. Now I see shot that. I was. I know what I'm just saying, because that sound what I'm saying, y'all went somewhere. I mean, it is what it is. I was young because it's easy shoot like that. I was happy that man, Mike, when I was a little older, when you know you're not drinking, but I'm gonna drink from Champaine. But I'm on the What you want me to pop? You want to pop? The Big Boy, the little Home. Honestly, all of it looked big boys to me because I like, I heard of the Ace of Spade when I was away in the magazine. That's like, yeah, that's like big, big, big ship. So yeah, you gotta go big big. Don't leave this Michael Jackson story. No, no, no no, We're gonna right into it. Okay, So what was you No? No, only reason, I said, Mike, because you brought up Janet right I was. I was at Sony Studio recording street seven Street. So it's the old build, you know, it's a new building. Okay. So I'm near the exit smoking, or of a sudden, the back door just pool. I see a mask. Yeah they've been on the match. Yeah they've been, they've been. They've Oh ship, I said Mike Old. I'm like, you know right away. Oh, He's like, oh I love you guys, I love your music. I was so hyped. I ran back and told everybody, and then we all rushed thistly. Everybody want to take this is the little cameras like we was happy we didn't last five minutes after that next thing, the phone ain't brute. Yeah, you guys is gonna be moved over to the other buildings security ology. I was hyped. You got a picture with Mike's awareness this world. It is somewhere in this world, but I don't have it. But yeah, I don't have anything. You know how this when you get locked up, it seems like nothing. You don't have nothing no more. How is that right? Because I see a lot of people don't know. Um, I went through poems big with him, right, I didn't know. I did actually go to jail with him. But I'm affected just as much as that we met in jail. But this bid, the second bit had to be different for people knew who he was when he walked through people. How was that being someone famous? I didn't happen to go back to that life because everyone's on the same level. Everyone's the same here, Juliani's everyone's the same amount of commissary, So how was that going from where you came from to that? For me, I always remained the same. So in any situation, I'm always the same You're gonna see me the same head. I'm the same way in prison, I'm the same way. Celebrating with my family, I'm I'm one way. I don't even know this way to be and to be myself. So I always took me wherever I went, and I gave respect and I demanded respect. And that's stat I didn't play games. I didn't play cards, I didn't play basketball, I didn't wrap. I used the penitentiary as a university. I studied, I wrote, I woke, wroked out, and and and I got to see the the world evolved without me and keep going without me. And that was that was That was hard. That was hard when I had to finally, when I made the decision to stop reaching out, stop falling, and stop writing, stop doing that with your five years, I did six six ship. They chipped me out of it. Yeah, I don't know why. They kept saying five years. Yeah that all that BECA kept saying I was born in the seventies six, and I'm like, no, I'm seventy seven, bro give me another year, but continued, Yeah, so you know, so that's how I carried myself. And unfortunately you know there was there was a lot of brothers in there that related to me in some way and felt like I was their little brother. And and these guys never got another opportunity at life, and they knew what I was facing. I had. I had a terrible bit. I had a seven or fourteen bid. So for those that don't know what means, you could have do do anywhere from seven years. Yeah, and with that, you gotta walk on eight shells. And it was a thing of you know, it's all type of things to get into and there you know, the drugs is there, the even the women because you know, it's even with the CEO, and they get the CEO. You get him some drama because he liked her and in his mind, that's his girl, and they just make up relationships and you're fighting, and yeah, you're fighting. They go over something that ain't even yours because she told you to start sweeping the steps. They're mad that you're sweeping the steps. Now you gotta fighting the over sweeping the steps because he feels like you're taking his broth. And it's like, bro, we're mates, Like this is not you know. So I stayed away from that, and it was like a decision. You can stand outside of the yard every day and reminisce about all the dudes that had it and what you used to do in the town, or you can focus on getting in these programs and making them working better than yourself. And I chose that. Do you do you bumping to anybody else that was famous or anybody else that's right? Yeah, yeah, I've seen me and True Life in Clinton. I've seen True Life one day, but he was in a program called APPU. I was in our general population, so I had luckily, I was coming from the package room and I had got through the gate, so I ain't even supposed to be in whole. And when you went through with them, when they walked, that's like having the man. Everything's short of a shot on walk with them, you know what I mean. So I was like, oh, ship, you know, it was so boy like. It was up yeah, oh yeah, you know what I'm saying. I am, you know, shooting back back back to my thing. But I was more excited to meet like the legends, like the Jails, like like the Wems and like like like like legends from the street, like you know what I mean. I was. I was excited to meet those guys and just to see where they went wrong at and you know, and so I said, you know what, I got another chance. I can't blow it. So so so how does that happen? Now you come home, the woo embraces you. Does what happens like the first bit of the second bit, I'm talking about the second Yeah, this is the second bit, this second bit, Um, it was great. It was great because I was a man now dealing on man level. Before I was you know, I was a kid, you know what I mean. So to finally be recognized and dealt with as a man and respected as a man, it's a long time coming, you know. Um, for a lot of time in my life, I um, I expected things, you know, and then when I expected things, I got let down. So everything is a plus for me today. I lived my life for today and like I just embraced everything for today. It's a good one today. I don't know about tomorrow, but I'm gonna enjoy this one right now. I'm enjoyed being on drink chance because like this is a miracle. This is a miracle for me in my life. And and like I promised God when when I was in that cell, and I broke down. I praised with Law and I asked him to fix me and fix my life and take everything that's not good for me away and put right people in my path. And and he did that for me. And I'm sitting here today, so I want to let you know that. Yeah. One of um Uh joints I was listening to today, you get my notes. Um he said everyone's a huddler until they get locked up and turned blood or musclum. Yeah, well, big banks take little band and in New York pnitentiary, the two biggest monsters is the homies and the Muslim community. And that's just what it is. You see dudes that was everything in the world, and you know, and not saying that they might not find God and want to change their life, and those potent because if we do. But sometimes when they's false, you see them when they're home, they're not on the d n still they throw they crowned soon as they get off the bus. There's mad Bibles and Korans and and crowns and koufies in the bucket. You know what I'm saying. And that's that's when they're repeated because you're not serious with your with your your growth. You ever thought New York City would be like that, Like you know, um, you're being so young in the game, and I'm sure you had to travel to California and see the differences. Like we had to guard abouties. We had, Um, we had poss Yeah, we had posts, we had the spades, and we had all of this, but it wasn't really per se gangs like even Zulu Nation. Like Zulu Nation was actually looked at as something that was positive. And then it gets to the West Coast and the Bloods and the crypt thing, and I remember us actually laughing, not not laughing, but like, look, look like what are they doing? They got Jerry Curls and and like why are they doing this? And then now New York is doing that? Well, um, I'm real about it. I think it's just the state of the monitor people. Because some people are followers and some people are leaders. It's a bunch of followers that follow the trend, you know what I mean. And they don't know no better, they don't know. They're just going off what they appeared, what they see, what they where they see to be real, and sometimes it takes some people their life and then sometimes take people in prison forever, and then some people get it in between and changes the life around. I think New York is following on a whole lot of levels on music when everything I think with us, what we did was because it was everything we set the trends all the time, and what we stopped doing with sticking together. It was the time I remember as a kid. As a kid, the whole industry was mines. Everybody was my big brother Chuck, They big daddy. Can these dudes when they've seen you, they grabbed you, they hugged you, they told you, and they now you see a dude, it's a standoff. You didn't see who's the fly. It's like I can't say that the shine he got really all I like to say software. I don't want to say it was always like that, but it was a great time where everyone embraced everyone like when you had it, Like when I had an album release party, everyone would be there like I couldn't even I didn't even have to call people. I do remember that time you ever throw a hip hop will be a little level like as big as it is, like the verses and all this ship is. I mean, I'm happy, you know what I mean, I'm happy to be a part of it, you know what I mean. They see the evolutionary growth. Of course it has to change. These kids want to do what they want to do, and there's nothing wrong with that. Um yeah, but it's growth. Is it's a lot to be done because it's all the other things that can come from hip hop that we're able to do. Use our popularity, use our voices to clean up the community, to start businesses, and use our voices just tell people how to go about it. Because one thing we lack in our community is the information. If I would have knew half the things that I've learned along our journey, I wouldn't have, you know, stumbled as much. And not to say I went and made no mistakes, I wouldn't stubbled as much. And that's what the other people do in their communities. They give them the information when they're in high school, they're preparing for their giving them the Jews. They're giving them that and they're helping them walk through it. I think every in our community, everybody just goes to self when they make it. I think that's what for Ell said on our he said when he said the information we can't hide the information. We have to share share the information. And I think, uh, that's something that we've been trying to do on Drink Champs. Just the crabs in the bucket mentality, Yeah, the crabs in the bucket me you got you got those? Ready? Rise? You know what I'm saying. So this is what we do for our legends. You know what I'm saying. We want you to know you were way invited, way before this dumb sit and you're always gonna be invited. So we wanted to make sure you got your flowers. You know what I'm saying to your motherfucking face. You know what I'm saying. You know what I mean. You know what I mean. Come on, come on, you know what I'm saying. Yeah, your motherfucker what I'm saying, Nah, that's this is just for the crib. You know what I'm saying. Roses, Yeah, and they lasted a couple of years because that's what our show is about. What show was about giving flowers. Um, it's always been about giving flowers. Are we gonna make some mistakes along the way, of course we will. Are we gonna make get some mistakes after? Of course we will with our hearts and our goal is in the right mind and the right frame. It's the great intentions and we wanted you to know that face to face. Man and man, I my nigga, thank you know what I'm saying. So now I need you to go just go on and on. But I just counted as twelve is right, one plus Stewie Street. That's understands. Understand he had to go. So you gotta take me to this goes on and on? Shot you made that record? How does how do where? What's going on? You were eleven? You know it was it was the No. I was like thirteen and it was No. Actually fourteen and it was a fourteen fourteen fifteen somewhere around and you know, I just started get old years with up. But um it was the last song for the album. H and my manager Wigs He Wiggs was always the uh instill in like black history for me, Like different from with when I was with the Guards, you know what I'm saying. He was like uh Martin Luther King. He was more peaceful, you know what I'm saying. When I was with the Guards, it was more revolutionary. So but he will always he had Yeah, I felt but this is what I'm saying. So it was just the Jews, and he was like, Yo, you have to be the reporter. That's who you are. You have to show through your eyes, you know what I'm saying. So I said, all right, well I'm right through my eyes. And that's what came out of it. And because in the line where I said, oh, man got shot in the parking lot in front of my building, I hain't with his grandchildren. It wasn't actually an old man and his grand child. It was actually a dude by the name of Tom Reagan that I looked up to my neighborhood. He was fly and it's like a dude just shot him under the building. It's just like I killed him. That was one of my early depths. You're not when you're young. You have to see and it always affects me because he was one of the dudes that had one of those smiles, you know what. It seemed like everybody that goes has that smile. And then it's like he had that smile, and it was just like I never forgot him. And when I was writing that and I said, ah, this is what happens in my neighborhood. So was was like because I you know, Um, we interviewed Germaine Duprix, right, and it's something that I asked him, like, you know him working with child Stars, is he could always get this money from Nickelodeon or Disney? Was that ever like people who ever say, calm it down was thirteen. By the time you're eighteen, you might could be in a fucking Walt Disney. Oh man, it was many. It was many relaxed on the god just to telling me that to change my narrative to to you know, be a little more clean, you know what I'm saying. Um to join him Mature because I did a record with Immature. UM called to Love his group and they wanted me to join the group. And I was wanted he had like to be the rap like like the rapper because we did the song and I couldn't I doing it and it was a lot of money. But you know, coming from the projects, this is what I love about coming from where I come from. It gives you this thing called fuck it and it's like, yo, for my principles and my pride, funk it. It's like, this is who I am. I turned down movies because uh, I wasn't gonna kick over a garbage kid, because I know if I came back to the project, they're gonna kill me. Was kicking over the garbage cans in the project, I couldn't have lived, you know what I'm saying. So I based everything off of what I thought that the people from my neighborhood would think of me. That it's a boat, it's a mindus true, because that's not real life. You shouldn't. You should live your real life what people think. But as a kid, you're only influenced about what you see in your world. So in my book back for a long time, I carried everybody else and Ship everybody else's thoughts, everybody that I accumulated, and and then it was soon when it when it burst and it was over and everybody went to their real obs. I was still stuck in amazed, like, oh Ship, it ain't no real industry, it ain't these things. Really don't love me, o ship? This was business? Oh yeah, sorry, kid, this is this is business. I'm not like, really your lawyer, I ain't come in to court to help you with with this is I'm not gonna help you kids. You got the budget cold, somebody they're not what and didnt reality hits you like, oh ship, that's eighteen you're saying started hitting you with that. No, no, but let's song shot because this is like your first hit rep year, right. How many people finger popped at that time? I was at least I don't know why I was clevering. But no, no, not. But here's the thing. A lot of the women probably be in jail right now because I wasn't dealing with thirteen years when she was the opposite off. Yeah, yeah, I was getting what I'm telling you. I remember how I got my bed. I'll tell you how I got it. He was when I was young. The older guys would tell you want them, you gotta get the bed. You ain't doing that right because I'll be talking to a girl I come through the process Puerto Rican? Here, what's the guy who told you that? To Puerto Rican? I'ma have Cuban, so I don't I don't speak nothing. Yeah, supposed to be eating pussy early. So it was the thing like you know, you know, you got a little girlfriend and you couldn't come through the bout of the building on the bench. Everybody out there hustling, so like, yeah, you don't know what to do with that. You ain't doing the right then, and I'm like, just I am chilling. You don't say you mean eating. I'm like that's nasty. And he's like, here, you gotta put your whole face everything the chin aside. And my superdass was like, yeah, right, if you did all this ship that, I can't even cut it. I cut it today. It's like two, mom, it's crazy. That's how you get it. That's how you get this band. I thought that was just Puerto Rican ship. It's like, I didn't even know Cuban Cubans you know cute. I did not that they came. You'm okay have black to Jamaican's. Don't want that, baby, Yeah, I know a few of that, dude though. Yeah, they'd be low riding, yeah we call it. Yeah, but a lot of them, you know. But you got a thing at the time, besides the rap celebrity girls. I was around my age and I used to think I would have a relationship with, you know, a girl, right, It's okay, let's just strow it out. Dude, you're knock. I mean see, there's a problem with that, right, because I don't want to seem like I wanted them dudes that like talk about some old ship. It was twenty years ago. Just be clear. We had Nick Cannon sitting in the same table. Oh he's a and he said, he said that Kim Kardashian hurt his feelings and we had to say we had to be with him. So you ain't got nothing to worry about her. Yeah, he said, he said, listen, he damn, I blowing up to the episode. But the episodes out right, he said, he ket he kept it real. We had to take a couple of shots to start smoking smoke. He just smoke me, and he said, he said he kept it real. He said he would have stuck by her if she would have said that the rage tape was real. But he said that she said jal, So he was like hi, And then when he came out, he was hurt. He said, could he could? He said, but he was? He did? Oh s I don't know. I mean, it depends why that's his own motor d you know, yeah, but I didn't know. You gotta put it like knockdown. Who did everybody? Damn? I think it was Monica one. No Monica was that I met Monica Monica is a cool person, very like Churchy. That wasn't really like not to say she was my style, but I was into the Bite street girls. But I like girls like the girls that I liked. I like like Foxy Brown, like like Feed. I'm like like Queen Pin. I like girls like that. Okay, okay, I followed. I like I like old girls. I like girls like that that was in the industry doing this thing on the high level, very hat swag they was doing. You know what I mean. I followed all the way through standing over respectfully. Actually she's very good person. So I never like, never talked to help in that manner. So, um, move it on. How did you start acting? What was what was the actor who told you it was the first The first off I got was to be in the Friday Movie to Being Fridays as the little kid Chris kicking over the garbage kids. And I was like, I ain't doing that. You're going to So when you said kicking over the garbage kid, what are you talking about? They told you not to do it. I didn't want to do because think about it, right during that time, right we're talking the early nineties, you just kind of sell out like at that time, it was like, yo, you got a movie. It was to sell out, right. I remember. There's no disrespect to anybody, but I remember it was a time, right because I hung with Cane and came, man, that's like, that's like that's all that's my heart, right. And he will always give me these jews like never sell your publishing this, and he said, you know, you need to take your career to two movies and things like that. And I would come back home around the trying to make you a sell out and I'm like yo, and then so I'm like nah. My mind was like I don't want to be a sell out. You know what I'm saying, Like, na, I'm hip hop. All that was done radio. You ain't bar me throwing stretch you made to the red. This thing is dumb. You're being a party. And they're like nah, he he you don't wrap us no more. It wasn't some commercials and things of money like that. And he would said, forget all this against sticking true to the culture. I'm going to get the bag. And if I got to do a flip in the strike commercial, that's what they did and it made it sells everybody out at the end of the day. But wait, was the frind of thing before the til Yeah? Yeah, it was before because it's the same director. So when that ain't happened for that, he called me back. He said, all right, it's not acting, it's just eat in the video. And or you're doing this being yourself, he said. I said, what is it for? He said, TLC. I was saying, oh yeah, I'm on that, and and it was just to be in a video. I didn't think of it. I didn't think of it as acting. I just thought that it's being in the video. But but Friday, did you know what Ice Cub was attached to that? I didn't. I didn't really care, you know what I mean. I didn't care because for me, with me and the world was coming to a party and rock him giving you a DAP or Chuck Deed telling me that I'm the bridge, and it's like, no, I'm not doing this. I want to be accepted, you know what I'm saying on the block. I don't really care about that, you know what I mean. So that's why. But then when he said the video, I said, all right, I'm not acting. I'm not really So I did that and then the next call I got was by Fred Williamson for Original Gangster's Original Games. And this is one of the things when I can say this, if people weren't you, they're gonna find you. I don't care if you under the rock and nothing's all that you need to be politics and have this one that's bullshit. When you if you got interests and people see value in you, they're gonna find So that's what happened. My phone rang one day. It's an old man by the name of Fred Williamson the Hammer. Now people who know who the hammer is, they know me. I didn't know, so I'm like, who it's the Hammer? So I'm like, I can't touch this. He like na, He's like, no, this is Fred Williamson, he said. I said, okay, well what's up. He's like, I want you in the movie. I'm like, Oh, ask your mama, who who who the Fred? Him Williams said, I'm like, yo, you know some dude about him Jim browning them? Everybody? Man, they didn't jumped up my uncle. You're doing that. You're doing that. I don't care about all that ship you're doing. You know what they did for black people and movie and films and everything you're gonna go and being this film where I got a ouncle God bless your soul named she Go my uncle Charlie. And he was like when he said, and you're gonna do it, You're gonna do it. You're going you do it. And that's how I got there makes no noise. Un hold on, I got so much notice, but hold on, hold on, Oh ship dam and who real quick time with Slim today. Uh, these guys you don't see the argument the bens they're gonna be Yeah, there's mad loud on the side. Bro, you ain't see that ship were you said? We're you sending that ship? You personally on the group chat I'm talking about earlier the um that was a group chat. Okay, cool, all right, cool, I got it. Yeah, this is good organic food can to Jack Teller. Voso was a part of Jack Teller Jack Diller. You know I said, I said, oh eat a new ferrycon Jack. He called me. He called me like, what's what's got to do with it? Either love or hate him? Like they either love him or they hate him. He's good. We love him over if we love we love him? But our fast day day up in the air with him. So all right, cool, So I'm gonna run through a couple of these, and I want you to tell me what what what it means to you when I said to a kid of rugged child at four a K eight to rugged child in four, damn that that little nigga man um because he literally is a different person. He wanted to save the world. He wanted to bring everybody from his projects with him. If I could have, I would have a thirteen. I would have had everybody, everybody. I would like to believe through my actions and and and maybe you know, the people from our neighborhood maybe could tell you better than I could probably tell you. But I would like to believe that I shared. I shared my my, my money, my fame, my life with them. You know, I gave his music business more than half my whole existence in the planet, you know. And you know I'm hip hop. I dedicate my life to this ship. Okay, the Lord's generation. Oh he was arrogant, he had some money. Yeah, it's the same little little year. But he's yeah, he control now he you know, Yeah he's getting some virgin yeah, yeah, yeah, he's virgin new trial because they had created a rap department. Now you know what I'm saying, it's me, the Loonies and scar Faced, a couple of rap. A lot dudes was over there. Um yeah, so it transition, but it was still under version. Um yeah, I was, I was. I was having sex. You know what I'm saying. I was. You you're scoring now? Yeah. I used to collect phone numbers everything, so you know, Uh so I was, I was, I was. I was. Yeah, I was a little horn though I'm a scorpio two. So I when I was, yeah, I was hard. I was busting him down. But that was the last generation O man child. That's when ship got real. That's got that ship got real. That's when it changed from with with you. So now you got the honey you're saying the audience to people, Well, I don't, I don't know. I don't know about music. I can't I don't know what fans was things. I don't really base my life on what that force is. It's just like in my personal life and in my community, in my neighborhood, it started to change. People that was rooting for me was for me, but then it was like it started to change into jealousy. It started to change into because you're next to me. Now you feel you should have what I have and you feel that I'm stopping you from getting it. And it's not me, it's God's blessing me. How are you mad at me for him blessing me? Pray and he'll brush you. But that's what happened. So it started to turn the Hey, I started to get caught fighting, getting caught with guns because I ain't know no better, and all I knew what to do was yo and get a gun. Was I ready to shoot somebody? Absolutely not. I couldn't tell you. I remember fronting in the mirror like I'm on, oh my god, one walking with it. I wasn't prepared for that, you know what I'm saying. And that's what happens with a lot of kids and teenagers. We get thrown into a a gang, get thrown into business, whether it's hustling and being out there, and don't know what to do when the real ship happens. So you make these mistakes and the only thing that's gonna teach you at that point is growth and moaning. When they say you're enough enough for this ship, well I took it, Okay, the greatest story never told. H I felt that way. I felt that way I felt to come into this come coming from my struggles. I was born with bron kite. I wasn't even supposed to live. I was born at six months to having a mother that had me at sixteen. Then I was raised by my grandmother, so she died. Then I was just outside. My mother was getting high. Then I it came a wrapper and got money. Then everybody was just around me and flooded my hear and telling me it was good for me, it was best for me. And I was just a follower. And I went down a long road that I didn't have to go to trying to be something that I'm not. And when I was in prison this last song, I realized, I'm not like that. As much as I would like to believe, I'll go all the way to funk out. I don't. I want a better life. I want to live good, I want to be happy. I don't want to live every day I have to go to night. So that's that's what it did. It it opened, It opened the geese. Damn, that was a great ship. Hold on. I still got more notes. I got a lot of notes, I went in there. Yeah, but did you know this this? What more did we gonna disrespectfully speaking? M hmm, good one, great one. Actually, I would say this is the time you wan ray Kun is not saying yeah, yeah, it's um um. I expected. I had a big expectitious right, and in my mind I thought that ray Kawan and Wos saying should be doing more for me. Right, That's where I was at that and I felt that I wasn't one that was like again because I had my different start, you know what I mean. So I wasn't looking for a handout. I was just saying, yo, look look what I do. I'm talented, I wrapped, I act. Why you not? What's up? Throld me? I'm under the rim. So if you're standing in the rim for so long, throw with fucking throw it. It's like, yo, what I'm gonna do. I'm gonna take the fucking ball and I'm gonna throw that ship because I'm wide open all the time. So but it was I was still immature, you know what I'm saying, And I didn't realize where he was at in his life as a man. Because now I'm at that place as a man and I see it through those eyes. You don't know how to express it. I expressed it well on my level because I don't say that I didn't feel that way because I felt how I felt. I don't know. I'm not taking back how I felt at all, but how I handled it it was immature and very kitty of me, you know what I'm saying. But and after I thought about it, when you got that time, when you think about it, all the good memories, I'm like, sho, I love this nigga like I have great times too. And then it's like, once I started to come into my own understanding, I owed him an apology and I gave him a sincere apology because I understand where it was that because it's like your what value was I bringing to him? It's like this, I can say, yo, norm I got your number. You don't call me right and you can say where you don't go me togther, So it's like yo, I'm like, yo, you ain't throwing the ball to me. It's like, well, what boy you through to me? And then then that's real reality and it's like work, I ain't never throw you stuff. If you remember this, please please remember. But I swear to God. I had that same conversation, we'll do for my hood. He hit me one day, he said, you don't call me. You don't call me when you're in the hood. And I said, but you don't call me when you know I'm in the hood. So who the fund is wrong here? Yeah? Yeah, the same conversations in life. You have to take responsibility for what you did. I'm not saying I wasn't hurt or offended by that action, but I had to take responsibility for myself and through my own personal growth, I was able to see where he stood in his life because that's how I sent in my life. Like, Yo, if we're together, then we brabbling together. We're doing business. And not only we doing business, nigger. When my kid has a birthday, you know you're there, and you're not only just some party friend or some music family, your family family. So it just puts things. I was able to put things in its proper perspective. Like even with with my finances, I had to learn to do that. I make a dollar, I don't got a dollar, a quarters for this, quarters to that, quarters for this, quarters for that, and then I'm able to have a little balance. The same thing with relationships. This relationship may just be smoking blunts and getting drunk, or she may just be the chick I hang out with the go to parties. But she's not gonna come up eight hours to the president. What was you stupid for thinking she was coming. She's at the next party, idiot. And that's reality for yours. When reality strikes and you're sitting on that ball with them itchy blankets. God make so much that this is a game we played with all all of our guests. We know you're not drinking, so we're gonna drink for you. Lets you want when your homies sitting for you? You know what I mean? I don't know. Wait with June June's out, can you come on Papa there drinking. Let's see if you gonna hold it down from New Jersey. Motherfucker's is playing dirty from the beginning. He's like my people when they put it, yeah, I like I like it. I like it. Come on here, let's see. You got you gotta drink down to drink shins, don't represent, don't represent, and get the table. Just get on the shots because you got you got. There's a second one right on right here. Look if you want drink shins, don't get drunk under the table. Let's go. You get some water if you want. Yeah, I definitely all right. Cool. You gotta stand up because you know whatever he's gonna drink. Yeah, what what you want to drink? You want to drink? Do say you want to drink? I'm drinking something. You can drink my majuana. You can drink something Colombia water, watermelon. He don't start speaking Spanish? Then you speak Spanish a lot of damn time. Now you're talking about me. That means he told about me because you don't know he speaks Spanish. You're gonna get in with y'all. Stop speaking Spanish. Who speaks Spanish? Cool? You can man? Wanna I respect that mama? Who I'm not gonna follow you, but I'm gonna respect that mama. Wanna all right? Cool? Quick time of slim. You answer you can you can say one or the other. Well, you could say both. You say both of your man drinks. It's nothing you can say no answer your man drinks. But we all drink no word, so we are using them. Yeah, okay, I don't know which one? Yeah, yeah, yeah, no, no, I just I don't know which one you're gonna pick on this one. This is really some inside wootang ship you have to pour up or expected debt as far as what we don't know check it's whatever in your mind and if you want us. I don't know if you're saying this as if they're m C or who I have would relationship with it if it if it goes to the relationship, who I'm gonna call in my phone first, I'm gonna calling spack and back the side of okay if it goes to MCIN sounds like both to me, sir with enjoy solo solo. This is good. It is good for man. I want to I want to say what it is, but I don't want my man isn't only be like a freaky I'm but I don't want to be like a stick and people thinking to don't worry about the water all right, Um, I don't know where you're going with this one. Neither marbdep or m O p wow okay, yes, okay O d B A big punt O g B or prospect that this is where it's gonna get a little crassy puff daddy or shug mm hmmm. Have you ever met Shug. Mhm, I need to hit the story. But wait, wait, let him ask you for answer first. Damn, neither, that's a shot. That's a shot, So do the rules of the game. I respect that. Let's hear the story before we know the reason why. I say neither, right, because both of them are real moguls, right, you gotta put daddy story too. We'll take them both, right, they're both big moguls, right at least when ship was out, he was a big mogul. And for what I wanted do in the business, it's no room for me to be under a big mogul because I want to be a big more so. It's nothing so either one of them brothers, But I just want to be because you met but you, but you met you done with. I didn't there. I met him, I was, I was. I met him a crazy way, but I met him crazy crazy. I was out in California and you know, I'm running around the beach somehow and that everything I can hollight career, we probably where we are. Yeah, yeah, mallible, Okay, I used to hang out like I was. I was when I was out there. You know, I hung out in Hollywood. You know what I mean. I really I went to the hood sometime, but I was a Hollywood kid, you know me. Um, so I meant this female and we start hanging out. So I'm like, I gotta go by a studio, my boy DJ Quick, you know I mean, So I go by to check great new men the studio and you knew Quick was already right yah yah, Yeah, I met Quick is another story. Just it's just one of them things that God puts me in your life when they're supposed to be there. And I go to the studio and I'm with her and they're like, you know, who the funk that is? Your baby, mama one. But that was over. After that, I said, you got to go. We're gonna stopped talking to him, and I guess her things always always messing up things for me, But it's not like that. And then when I met him, he was like, no, I would have been a little man, And I was like, they wouldn't have been because you know, I didn't really want those type of problems. Understand, I understand, can be moving on. This was like two thousand. This is like two thousand around. That's how he's doing one of the roots and clan albums out there. One of them they we wasn't. I was just with them while they was recording. Okay, I know what you're gonna go with this one. Dr dre Listen. I mean again, see if I could have see again he got What is it for? Because if it's him, I need both of you. It's whatever criterias in your mind. I mean you couldn't. That's that's the craziness. I'm trying to figure out what you mean because it's like it's just so vast it's meant for you to be drinking. If you would be drinking this, this game gets better better because I just need to know what I can say. As as as artists both yea, because it's just it just helps categorized. I don't want my words to be misconstued. It's just you know, shoes doctor drain over the ris and it's like we're just showing about the risk is my big brother. I can never We're just gonna drink for you, but we're gonna driw you just how you did both of them. Have both of them produced for me? That would be a would be crazy solent. We're taking a show. We're doing both right, on that. Ye both, all right, what's he getting? Normous? All right? This one again, the more should change it a little bit, but you can make him fall. I'm gonna leave it. I'm gonna leave it. I'm gonna leave it. Method. But well would you like no, no, no, no, I was gonna change because so method man or Jada is okay this one, this one is a little tricky. I like this one. I like the one before that. Ray or Ghost Ghost okay, yeah, yeah, all right. I think we should both all get our ship ready DMX or tupap both. There's no way that's one. I keep both of them. We got DMX. Oh that's beautiful. Both of them were so like they definitely was yeah, yeah, Hix never heard seven ship. Yeah, that's the first one. But I thought it was gonna be something before. Okay, where was that freestyle? That clear? Plaium was nothing? That was? What was that? What was? Understand I'm just stand square guarding New York super fess understand me. You know that ms TO recorded that right, because I got the vital it was mr Vil he put off. Yeah, you know what's crazy. I was just going through argue. I actually had an argument because they was talking about it, and I was in the commerce. I was like, it's a free style, and I'm arguing with people when they're like, no, what's the record, I'm like, no, it was a freestyle. And then he goes, oh, I made it a wreckie. So now I go, okay, since it's a rekie, who got my publishing? Now? Who took my If it's a record, If that freestyle is now a record and it's now streaming, it's now getting Royal's, somebody got some money. That's true. Is it streaming? I know it's on vinyl. If it was made into a record, it's a release. I always was under the assumption that it was a freestyle because I came up under the time when I was on Doop subscribed to us what happened this night? Oh to night? I was on Tool. I was young. I was on Tool. Big Daddy came everything. So last spots get too Actually, how I actually get in to the New Yorkshire We I think me in Arizona and King had to literally pick me up. It was It's the biggest arcade room in the world. It seemed like it seemed like the world was video game heaven, and I was in it, but we had a plane to catch, and I was a kid. I did not want to leave, literally kicking, and I was like, I want to play games like I was that kid because it got to a time when I wanted just to be a kid. I didn't want to do no interviews, I didn't want to wrap. I just wanted to play basketball and do what I ever did and didn't watch my friends. Yeah, but then your friends growing up experiencing real life. They're going to proms. You can't go because I'm not even in regular school no more. Then they're getting married. I'm still in rapper life. And then next thing you know, you with a whole new crew that's not even your original crew because they grew up and had to go down the road that they had to go, and they kick your signs man, kick her sons, so kick her sons. Yeah. So and so that was. We ended up in New York and we was doing I was always a part of the tour coming out around it. But this show, since we was in New York, he can bring out big Park. So Park was Park was like considered East Coast guy. This time, let's keep it real shot. He was he was his story. I mean, he was like coast, he was born out there. He just everybody knows that he came out with he was you know, he at that time, he even rep New York. He would wrap both um, Yeah, that was I guess he was New York. But you felt how did you feel about Yeah? You felt like he was a New York dude because he had the thing. I mean I didn't really, yeah, but I see my thing is this, I'm funny when it comes to my New York. Like I'm really funny with it. And even I'm from stat down right, and we like as far as the New York thing, it's like sometimes New York and throw him on nowand and before it's like it's like right, So it's like damn, you know what I mean. It just made it more harder for us to wrap. And we just wanted to be like me right, you know what I mean. She's saying I didn't. I didn't really didn't. It's not that I didn't claim him, but it wasn't like y'all seeing it right when I when I throw the y'all throw the queens identified with y'all's queens appreciate that I didn't identify with nowhere else, you know what I'm saying, But did junior head pop? This is a nothing like the old school, Like no one he broke down Skelly, he broke down Italian ices. No one could break down the New York summer unless you actually was in that New York sothing like York has been in the New York summer. But it's a difference from growing up in New York summers. Gonna listen to the record, you can tell he grew up with it, Like, but what age did he because I've read it. I've read a lot of his biography. I because but that's what happened because he was dealing with you know, you know, the rest of the soul. He was dealing with a mother that also was battling drug addiction. So he was like an army kid. He'd be in New York, then he'd be in Michigan, and he probably moved all the way around, so he had pieces of everybody. And that's what made him such a great artist, because he was able to tap in to the South or to the West coast and to that and being related to those people and was this is your first time meeting Pop was that, No, no, no, I met Park. The first time I met Pop was strew a guy by the name of Richie Rich from the four or five. Yeah, that's the first person. That's the first person on the West Coast follow He was trying to school me just now, But that's the first I mean, I don't know, but I'm just saying. I was she I was shot. I was young when I met Richie was probably one of the first robbers I ever met, going to West Coast and everything. And right away he scooped me. I'm a little bigg I'm riding around Oakland with Richie Rich like that. He even gave me the full one. I got the full one five original varsity jacket, the green train, he gave that to me. I still slf got that. And that's how I met Park And did you underground that way? And then it was just like full circle again through Kane. Wow, wow, all right? And that Big you knew that was the first time meeting Big. Oh no, Big was Big was Big was different, you know what I mean? Big was from New York, so it was more people with people because like again I knew Clark Ken you always had smoother. Hustler triggered again with no, I wasn't even into um spoken ad like that like that. I was just I was. I was a new b at that time. You know, me smoke at the school like I see when when when bigg and them was a round, I was more like season them me season all of them was more cool and and talk and Big was the big bro. But let's keep it real. I wasn't going to the club with him, see what I'm saying. Okay, so we're gonna move on. You know we're not moving on. We haven't really discussed that whole scenario. You know, that whole show's legendary. That's a moment in hip. Yeah, yeah, okay, so you couldn't. So you were there, what happens? How does that whole during the show. Normally, because I was on the tour, we came. It's a segment where we would do the freestyle boom. But this particular show, he had extra guests to come on as well. So you know when he said, we're Bill Biggie smalls that to see the guarden go that you hear it from the audio. This is where this is where you are schooling me it's partying bullshit out around there. That's the only record, that's the only which is which is a hit from the soundtrack Who's the Man soundtrack? Yeah, I'm in jail. I think this is we're speaking about. I'm in jail, So I need you to describe for me because all I'm here is party and bullshit. But I'm hearing it through a Poughkeepsie radio radio station. How important was that record to New York City and the party and bullshita? Because it was it was He was a mixtape legend. I'm gonna say this, the only the only other person, and this is to me, in New York history to have pretty much a hit before it was out. And the first person that I ever looked at on that level was Nas. I had a Nas tape floating through my project before it came out, you know what I'm saying. It was sort of the same with Big. Back then you would get teams and it was like so I was already kind of like onto him, and he was already big, you know what I mean on that level, And then it was no brainer once Party in Bullshit came out because he was circulated. He has party and bullshit out there. Yeah, I think Dreams was out to Dreams. No, no, no, that was a mixtape that was circular, not playing well, that was a mixafe free style. But that's what I'm saying. It was always so heavy on the mixtapes. It wasn't records, it wasn't rough it like that was just he was already a legend in the street. Yeah, yeah, he was because because at that time, that's when puff Puff came with that market and Puffs marking and Jean's back then when he started promoting Craig Macking and he had Yeah. Yeah, but so big Daddy Kane says, I'm bringing out my homeboy. Well, he don't say anything because Kane is kneplain to nobody. What was just you there? And next thing I heard was I knew they was there, but I didn't know he was going to have them rock Scooper scrap there. School because School wrapped from the beginning, No, he wrapped, Yeah, School, check it, check it bang bag. Yeah, because School was on a on a tour with us as well. So you see tupop a big both from you. Not this moment is legendary. No, I would know even of course, how do you know that, you know, because I see souper together. You know I'm gonna be real with you. The superstar to me was Kane. I was just so excited that I wrote to the Limo with Kane. I'm chilling out with Kane. I get to go over Kane's house and after can fingerpop Mount Donna. Let's be clear, Man Donna, I wasn't Man Donna, bro I wasn't here. I don't I don't know. I don't know if he did. I always that because he'd be like, I ain't do nothing like finger pop. He said maybe, he said only the other week. He never said he smashed though he said that I was. I was just I was the limo with Cane. Let's be clear. The Limo was like a fandom back then. Yeah, like if you up out the limo, you we didn't even jump out the limit. Because this is the first time I ever went into a stadium like that. The ship lifted off. Yeah, I felt like I was playing basketball, like I was about to go out on the court. Like you had headphones when you walk into the game. Yeah, did you walk up? Did you walk up a ramp? You walk up? I'm starting and I was like look and to see thirty like that many people and at this time, and at this time, we didn't have social media, so you was lucky if somebody had a disposable camera or if a magazine happened to take a picture or other than that, you didn't know. But for me, there was people from my projects there. So the next morning and it was like he was at the guarding because nobody would have believed me if I told him I was in school before I had a reggae deal, Like I had a reggae deal, but I'm in school telling like yeah, working on the album. Yeah, we know, you know what I mean, Like I was a straight liar. It wasn't until my song came out. It was like it wasn't lying all this time because it was just so far fetched for someone to have a record deal. Then you had to know somebody, to know somebody, to know somebody, you know. I mean, that's how the game was so controlled, you know what I mean. That's why these these guys, these guys, these young guys, they they they're so fortunate that you know, they can really yeah, one action one night. It wasn't like that far us. You had the big dudes and hold on, I still got more. How did you mean Kane? How did that collection happen? I met Kane? I was I think it was the pladium. Um, I was running around with Woot Sang because Mare. They came out before me because I had to go through the court system with my record deal because you because I was a minor, so being that the things happened with Gary Coleman and all of them, you had to go to Supreme Court and stand in front of a judge when he gets as you commission and he signs you into these contracts and yeah, full circle. The judge sentence me on one of my criminal cases as well in the same Supreme Yeah. So can you imagine that conversation that he had with me? You know that that was that was touching. It makes you say to him, I'm really fucking this up right? Um? So yeah, and they and they had um yeah. Yeah. I'm on the stage with him and I'm just and he tells his manager, Yo, he wants to meet O. D. B and the girl on stage. That's what he tells his his his manager. His manager girl comes back and says, well, okay, the OLDB guys here, but that's not a chick, that's a dude. He's name is Shot and that was it. And at that point he was like, you'll give me your number, right, like like, yo, you're rapped, and I'm like yeah. He was like I'm saying if you did rap, like you should wrap right. I'm like, wholl He's like, yo, taking a number, and then you know, at that time, I was like the golden goose egg, We're through the business. You missed a lot of opportunities like that. You and jay z on. That's what you're saying. Well, I need to say he put anybody on. What I'm saying this is that when he um bring me to the you're good but good thing I ain't drunk. That would have worked if I wasn't drunk, because he didn't say that, And I don't know why. I'm thinking, did you say that? Say that this sounds real good? Keep drinking? Good about answered? Right? That's a guy, right, um damn the movies we at he brought brought stage. Okay, so no, he he asked for you and the dB. I'll go back whatever. I'll try to get the contact with him. You know, dudes, just the Elders Show we're handling it, we'll make the contact whatever. A lot of other opportunities like that. I read in jay z book he wanted me on the song. I lived on the A four elevator broad because back then, your key is on your chain. Yeah, that's my kid, can clip my mama. Not home? Fuck it, I'm out, jumped in and called boom going. I was in Virginia somewhere. Anybody thought I was missing. But I'm chilling. I'm chilling grown women like Kane is the dude. Grown women is feeding me French fries. And he was always calling me your son, feed my son, no things like I was. Know what I'm saying, like, hey, it's cool, it was cool to be me. You know what I'm saying. What I'm saying. So did I come back? Right? I come back and he lets me out front of pods. I'm hyping. I got me getting money, brought me my first pier silk box. Oh this prince darkness I'm talking about right now, I'm hyped. What I do. I run the Rizard crib, run not with the silk boxes. Everything still im He's a kid, so he's gonna do. And they're looking at me like just trying to make you a sell out something to this this was he's trying to make you smooth and boxed up that she don't win. No smooth boxes and you can walk a shower. And now I'm confused, like I liked the boxes. I want to wear the boxes. They feel smooth. I'm wearing these ships, you know what I'm saying. Yeah, but I was height what you couldn't sell me. I might have worn for a few days because they were so smooth. It was different than the bbs. You can jump in the shower and take him out and just go and throw them more. He drive you have b I didn't have them, but I used to stealing for my cousins, so they used to have them, and I used to rock him. That's how I got the first time my cousin smacked me with a big fish. I wore was addas out his shell tools. I was probably a side four and his ships like a nine. And I'm in the project taking ships like this. Crazy. You can call my sneakers on. That was a death sentence in the eighties, random top. You know what, they thought? He was a girl. You know the kid in the Golden Child movie with a girl. It was a girl. I never knew it. All right, we're gonna move on with QuickTime. It's not so quick. It's not so quick, alright, b Street or crush grow Oh okay, you know why for me. It was just the whole thing of like run DMC and and and uh Curtis blow and Russell. It just showed that time and then grind I felt like, yeah, I could be I could be that too. One day, okay, the next of the next, next, well now, I mean I'm New York, next everything New York. But NIXT something even though sometimes it's hard to be a knicker vodka hard sometimes oh saw here the NIXT fan. But I did big up to my man. But hey, I'll tell you one thing. We got one of the best merchandise in the world. Yeah I should don't drop Okay, the box or video music box, video music box, hand down a shot out we got We got a big because the box was more like commercial. It's like kind of if you made it to the box, you kind of made it kind of because people were they were buying the slots in the box. You called it, Ralph, you had to I remember that time to like if you wasn't dope, he wasn't getting played. Now they're gonna play your ship because you might slipping onto the table. Biggie up, bigger, Mr Man right there, take a shot for you. Well, I'm gonna say you like this, I'll pick both of them. I picked both of them. Wanted you to pick both of them because both of them, you know, but we need but but I love No. Yeah, we're coming back because you got you gotta drive a big Yeah. I got tattooed big. By the way, you got the ultimate lantine on bracelet right there. Every everybody uncle got that same bracelet, and every Spanish family they got that same bracelet. I'm telling you that's that's that's an ultimate real Latino ship. Okay, what did I say? All right, boom white man, Right, I gotta take this first, right now, you gotta take it. This is extra round of song. No, this is last call for rel Kanye. I agree, premar just Blaze dreama podcast or radio podcast. Just keep coming up the late this no more Jay Z who nahs on jay Z. Well, I'm gonna say this right, I'm gonna say I'm gonna say no, No, I'm gonna say this. It's yeah, you're gonna do that anyway. But I'm saying this how I'm gonna say it is both of them at different times. Yeah, that sounds like yeah, because I'm listening to a certain vibe like nas Nas educates me like he makes me smart, like he makes me look for books. I'm like, I don't know that. I don't know what that is, but that's sound fly. I need to do some history. J just wakes me feel like, you know, I can take over the industry. Okay, all right, this is clearly the Dominican and public in Colombia because boltang, it's a wool tang inside answer. Fourth disciple or true master m hmm, fourth disciple true Damn, that's crazy. I gotta see both of them. We came to play, baby the game. We came to please. I'm taking the babies. I don't give you gotta finish, gonna finish it, man, let's take to come on. Damn, I'm gonna stick. I'll tell you one thing. You ask some questions that I wasn't expecting. This whole little game that's this is fly Yeah yeah, come on bro, come on bro, we we were here with you, baby. Okay, this is one I don't know where you're gonna go with. And I'm very curious. Red Man or a Zy Damn bro, it's like easy, that was real, I don't know, or Minister Society. You gotta remember you from. So I made the Jews. I mean I like mentes, you know what I'm saying. But that wasn't really my culture. It was more of an educational thing for me, But for Jews. I felt like when I went to Bow Dagger and he pop Poppy, I felt like that could have been me. Yeah, I'm into that. Just make some monch with you to that, all right? Jersey Drive or Who's the Man? Jersey's Drive? Definitely, it wasn't who was the man? Wasn't that wasn't that like, wasn't Lover and Doctor wasn't it cops or something? They were like cool cops though they was trying to make cops. I mean it was funny. It was funny, all right, cool, all right, this I really need to notice one. Yeah, this is my Colombian and I don't know why I got Colombians Dominicans making this list. This is they can be born at any time. They can be born at any time any time they No, no, I'm just saying. I said that. I said Dominican and Columbia is making the quick time of slab. They could be born at any point. A pay them off. I really need an honist answer because we come from the truth school, but we liked it. One of them. We both come on and be hammer over their lives. Yeah, hammer first handed, ain't here humble for bumy ham hu Hamdle was first and hammers and people that he's everybody with him. I ain't doing it with other nig Yeah, definitely, I ain't gonna find I did it before you. You ain't never do it. Do it. Everybody did it. Can't touch all that you did that still do it? Let me right Hammer from Oatland too. Yeah, when I heard it matter if she searched. We need to get we need. I'm so sorry. Really be not conscious of everything that goes on here, but not really Okay. Loyalty or respect? Loyalty or respect mm hmm. Definitely respect because with respect you're getting loyalty Now it don't now it matters why they respect you, and it's a different thing. How will you respected? But loyalty I think changes with conditions, you know what I mean. Respect will always be somebody earning your respect. You can't really funk that up unless you do some disrespect. So I go with respect, Okay, like I go over fair too. I go for fear over love. I don't fear you go for fear over love, yea rather somebody? Yeah, because people you love, like you ever noticed, like your family right there, are steal from you because you love them. But you won't try that ship with somebody that don't love them. So don't use the love card on me. People more than love. I know, I don't fear anybody. What I'm saying is that if somebody fears me rather than love me, you cross somebody you love before you cross somebody you fear. No hear you. But I'm saying the person that fears you is unpredictable because they're scared. Both are unpredictable. Yeah, respect, you know what I mean. I've had the most people who did the hurt fool shipped to me was people I loved and loved me. Did you hear the baby just said? Baby said, you gotta watch envy when you watch hate, because envyous here yea, and hate what you meant? All that ship man that fear hey then away from here and maybe trying to get deep man, come on, got that ship. Let me take my shot. That guy we're taking He was like, you want to just take it? And giggles little get drunk so in too deep and you did original deep and too deep. What is this story they're telling you this story about? Because from Marvi's this story is actually about Queen's dudes who went out of time. That's why they kept using the god And that was like yeah, But then they said it was about some people in Ohio with Cincinnati and things like that. I don't know because I really wasn't you know at that time, I ain't here what it was about. It was like, what's these lines and the checks there? All right, let's go. But it was a fun set man, it was a fun set um. It was it was big because it was three people from our neighborhood. Actually, in that same movie, you had me Hassan who played we Bay. You had Candle Grills he was also he was all from the same neighborhood. So it was a big thing to have three of us from the same neighborhood in one movie, alongside L. L. Coo J and Omar Epps and Sticky Fingers Into being the trail is rapping with L. L. Sticky and Omar Epps because Olmar is nice too, and we was this is that's just times you can't people can't pay for that. So what was you mad when Cary said it was in too Deep like mccarth, No, I didn't. I said, what the hell is just talking about? That's not the movie. He wasn't even That's what I thought. But then I was saying, well, maybe he's in too deep in something else than I don't know, but I know it wasn't the movie. What he was in too d I don't know, wasn't the movie. I mean, you know what, that's what Kanye said that sober into. I'm trying to give him an out bro, I mean what we don't know what he was meaning? Into deep? He could have been into deep, too deep. You can't know what Just be clear. We all wrapped. Come on, come on we rappers and DJ's here when you say I'm in too deep like my co fife, he might have met something else though he like he said he might have. It wasn't the movie because you know that we can scratch the movie out because what was he? What was he deep? Unless he thought he wasn't unless he thought but mcaf but he thought, yeah, yeah, so that's why he used that's that's the happen to be that right ship? Right? No, what are you talking about? It might could be because if you don't know somebody else, somebody don't know I don't know if it's a writer or whoever it is, but whoever, if don't you know that line and you saw the movie, you didn't wait the movie, you didn't if you don has heard about it, wrote that line, you didn't want the movie. Yeah, he could have googled that because I ain't gonna When I heard, I was like, indeed, and I said it too, and I was like, who was he? Even? Or it might have been a spin. Maybe he's just that creative said, oh, I'm gonna say mcco fight for fuck him up to make him say, you say, wait a minute, he's not mccow fighter. Maybe he said, oh my drink chats. We'll talk about this and then I'm gonna do what I'm gonna do. I'm gonna take a shot. Shot. He tried to clean it up. He tried to clean it up. In the soundtrack for that movie. I was in the soundtrack with with the Locks with the Nuts Locks. You gotta come on, let's take some more. Mom wanna the juel you I'm sorry, I think he speaks. He speak a whole bunch of English. I said, June, when you get did just speak smash? He said, Nori speaks you guys, what are you trying to because he got freckles man, dispect that's got to discuss respectful. That's guys like him. Those are the brothers. You might be fucking family. You never know. So I look, shot, we've been through it all. What is the one thing that you regret in this in this life or what was the one thing you finished wish you finished either or you could um the one thing that I really wish I could have changed. Is that I wish I would have grew up in time to like get my mom the hell she needs, and I could have saved my mom's life. But I didn't know to just take a move away. I was just that just that I make sure I should have just forced in the woods and the force to get better. Like I was just thinking like, oh, she's gonna do it anyway, so the moms will stay home. That's why I never left, because I always feed like, damn I moved. We never left, you start, because I felt like if I took my mom, Let's say I moved to Queens, right, and I'm living out there now my mom's has an addiction, so now she's running around Queens, and now it becomes the talk Queens that my mother's like that at least at home. Heybody knew that ship before I was, even it's not a big deal. So I stayed where I was comfortable at for all those reasons. But that's the same thing that kept her and myself in that pit. So I was like, if I could change anything, I wish I was a little more mature in my decision making and my thinking because I would have just removed myself from the environment. See all along, I'm staying in the rat race. I'm get involved in this stupid shot and binging and shooting all this dumb ship when all I had to do the simple thing to do is you know what I'm just But you were a kid man, You were a kid, and you know what I'm saying, and came into the industry young. So it kind of stunts your broke. But but but it was the best thing that happened to me. I wouldn't trade it. I wouldn't trade it because I know so much. It was pain that came with it, but the things that I learned from this priceless. All Right, you gonna do another shot with you getting We're finishing this. Mama wanna bottle, and I'm finishing face because you know what shop You don't know if you know our show is about giving flowers. Yeah, I got twelve gold ones. Yeah you know what this might be? You know you heard it and this might be it. No, it's gonna be an n f T. We're gonna do sing. You can create that f T for yourself. We're gonna make n f T those too, well, can y'all sign it for me. It's already sign with the drink champs were short chasing you at all. You're one of them. We just started this, so you're I think he's you're the fourth person. Yea for the coach. That's that's a coach. That's for the coach. That's for So again, I just wanted to tell you to your face, man um, how much we appreciate your contribution to hip hop. That's what our show was about. Our show was about giving even flowers while they're alive. We could have interviewed anybody, but we want to interview all legends. We want to end a few people who have been seasoned like us that's been around. And when I did speak to you and I said, shot, my only problem is you're hitting me now that you thought that I said something wrong, But I said, I did three hundred shows when I said something beautiful about you, and you hit me and you school me real quickly said, but I was in jail. I didn't know. I've never seen this ship first. I just telling me, like, go on online, it's on the end of that us. So what I'm trying to tell you is that's what our show was about. Our show was has been, it will continue, and we'll always be about picking up our legends. There's plenty of radio stations that people can go to when they got something going over it, but we want to interview the people that's put in that work that got them ten years in four than ten years in. And I'm tired of people saying that washed up or they're over the hill. That's no fucking word like that in any other genre and any other music. So that's the reason why we started drink Chat. It was because we want to give people their belts back, you know how like Rick Flair run his belt then you know, Rick Flair might that belt is yours forever. Yeah, that's peace, that's peace. Um yeah, yeah, I appreciate that. G I appreciate it, but um yeah, like you know, and that's the same way I felt. I was like, you know, if you go back, it was funny too, right, just the way the world works. They was just asking me, what's what's like? What was on your top? I'm like the war report and didn't not as soon as this ship came out of my mother. But it's the truth. I can't like, you know what I mean under no, under no circumstances would what y'all did for my life. See it's a difference because I grew up in the era. But to be a kid a fan, See I was a kid a fan too at the same time being in this ship office in Champagne. But I feel like I just need to get you funked up alone. He's speaking. No, he's Spanish, he said nothing yet you guys like aisha local. No, no Spanish. We got to get what are you talking about? Want let's do it, June, you're working with you. I'm good to you. Yeah, ship, y'all don't know what just happened my mind just my computer just cool. Yeah, man, No, but it's it's peace. Man. I'm glad. We're glad we could we could see here as as grown ups and and and work through something, because that's a lot of the problems with people today. They don't just take the time to work it out and say, hey, yo, bro, just how this made me feel and just and and a lot of time it's like, yo, I didn't even make me to make you feel that way. And it's like okay, all right now speech and now we have an understanding. You know what I mean, but it can go another way too, that people don't take the time to do things the right way. And I commend y'all for doing things the right way and you know, correcting whatever mistake, whatever we want to call it, it's it's water under the bridge, you know what I'm saying. And that's why I thank y'all for getting on my podcast and just making it, making it smooth and making anything right. We fun before, We with you now, and we're gonna fuk with you after. And um, you know that's just what we are. Man. You know, come on, got that. I'm like, it's like, it's one more this is it? Because he wants you to do. I gotta do because yeah, we got got the rugged, the rugged road to recovery. That let's talk Let's let's talk about the podcast. Yea, let's at the podgrass is you know, dedicating the memory of my mother, Um, and I just wanted to create a platform. Oh my mother's name, Marilyn Franklin. You know, um, okay, think you sir, just because most of the sounds people just don't have no way to go to talk to when they in those breaking moments, or they just want people to listen to them. So it's like, yo, you know what would be dope. We the community hip hop, We got a bunch of things where rappers come up. You even got gang boundings. But a part of our community is the people that struggle with drug addiction and and hustling drugs and things like that that made terrible mistakes. That's trying to correct their errors, a place for them to come get their strength and event as well as celebrities that's in the same thing, dealing with the same issues and just just a just a smooth spot just to have comversation, you know what I mean, And you take what you take from it, leaving what else back on the table, you know what I mean. You got audio distribution yet, Um, I just did it through on the line. Like me, I just turned to a vigorous Internet and just Google everything. So I did it through. Um one of those asks. Some Spotify the same way. You pretty much do it through. Course. Yeah, something's one of those, like you know, gets at that level right now. But you know I'm listening, bro, I'm here. I want to work movies, music, podcast whatever. You know what I mean? You back out here. I'm so I'm gonna use the bathroom now. Yeah, hell yeah, yeah, I'll say I'll say drinks is distribution for what it record? Just wait, wait, wait? Can the car be in my name? You listen, you already signed that. I go to the bathroom looking fifteen times the wood. You know what happen if you would have been on that bus coming down from Clinton and you're gonna go down your leg exactly? All right? So I just want to take a shot with you again. Oh Jesus Christ, want to do something. Let's talk about double shot. Let's do something alright, alright, double shot? All right, So let me ask you, shot, what's what's your most favorite part of the game. Is it performing the record or making the record? Um? Oh yeah, well you can't perform the record until you mean right, So, I mean I love making it, but ain't nothing like that crowd man. Yeah, it's just just like like, yeah, you feel me in that screen. Man, that's just like it's like dope, uh solo. Yeah, So let me ask you now, we need the big ol stories. Okay, that's what I relaxed for a second. Coming at me like like I like it. I like it, like I would like so me me and big relationship. It started, um he was on Columbia and I was on Virsion and I used to go. When I was a kid, the thing that I used to do was go hang out a record labels and radio station. I'll just be the kids showing up and they'd be like, come sitt in my office, chill and my death shoining. Did what I wanted to do everywhere, you know what I mean. So I used to go up to Columbia and the used to be a female my name of Taish Harris. You used to be there, so she used to let me come show the office and get on the computer and just learn and listen and watch and how how the businesses ran. And L used to go up there too, and so we man we got cool. And then throughout the years he was he was just like, see back then you could have me meet a rapper and he give you your number, and I actually keeping such. See now it was the thing of we got exchange number twenty times before we actually called each other. But back then it was like a B B B BO, what's up? And then call you back on the pay phone, what's up. And then when I started to go to Hall arm more because of my drugging drugging choice, I started to be up there, and then I started to hang around three nine Lenings. You know, all that around that was sparked parts of towns and that was I know that. Yeah, I don't know about now, but back then it was. Back then it was. And you know, I used to go up there and get my ship and it was there cam out of liquor store right there too at the time. So I used to hang out over there, and you know, and then when I got my third deal through a woot Sang Records, and I was doing a man Shout album, I had full control over the budget. So then I was like, I want to work with who I want to work with. So I was like, oh, I need you on this ship. I got the budget. Here's Bread produced because he was making Beach produced a joint and get on the joint. And we was actually recording. We had did Furious Anger, and we was recording the second record, and I was in Quash Studios. I'm there and I'm like, l he wasn't the type of person to bullshit you, so he told me a shot, I'm near eight o'clock. He might have been a thirty, but he wasn't showing up ten. You know what I'm saying. He kept his words. So I'm sitting here at eleven o'clock. It's late now, you know, I don't remember the exact but so I'm like, yo, where the fun is? So I'm calling around, calling around. And then I said, okay, let me call somebody from like like Lord Finesse in one of them. And then he was like, yo, yo, school, he just got shot. He's he's I'm like what, just shut it up? And and and and and I lost my friend that day, you know what I'm saying. And so the day he got supposed to go to recording, yeah, he was working on music, and he was coming through the other song. And because but you have another I have a song with him, we could see what I would do was book the sessions out, so I knew I was working with. So we were booked a couple of days of the session to do the records. Withell, so we locked one in and we had the rest of the week to finish the other songs. So then the process of finishing other songs, this tragedy just happened during that time, you know what I mean. So when it happened, it's just like that ship sucked me up and you're waiting on him. Yeah, he knew something was wrong because you said because he was wrong late. I didn't know that happened, but I just knew like something because he wouldn't play me like you know what I'm saying. He wasn't one of them dudes to play me out like that's like to play me, I'm coming and you don't come them call no show. It's like no, he wasn't like that, So that she was hurtful, and that's why I got the tattoo. I said, no, no matter where I make it at yea, no, no, no, why would you think that? I mean, it looked more like a C than a B. I mean, but but it's a it's a calligrapiel. Yeah. But when I was in prison it started things too because this is said that I didn't know eight one sick crips, So they think I'm walking around with an eight one six and the sea. I'm like, whoa, so I'm coming on the mess online. He said, you about that? Like about what he said to tax said, you like it, but like bigger, he like six creep I'm like, I don't know what you're talking about, and that's not it's bigger, Jesus. But I see how it looked though it couldn't look like that condor look at yeah, it doesn't look a little bit. I did not think it us a seat. So it's not as you just said that Jesus, we focused on. That's why I got it, because I just said, you know what I want. I think it's one of the best ms ever, man, and there's not a lot of people that say they have a bigger health feature. And that ran with Tupac and big. I think that's the reason why some chimes your door gets shut? What door shut? I think the door this industry. You know, you noticed inus she pick who they want, pick who they can control, or or like, Okay, we can get away with it with this guy. This guy is a little bit now, we don't want to keep keep him over there, don't invite him to this, you know what I mean, because you stand on principles and morals, so it's like you have to give up all that to be that, and for me, it's just not worth it for me, you know what I mean. I'd rather stand short and they remember me for how it was than for me to be a sellout for a bag or or anything like that. Give this nigga, bis he's a part of the table. Man, he's really really sick taking the shot. No more shots, no more shots. It's done, it's done, it's done. You wanted to let shot? No, there's no more, Juanna, we're not mixing. Shut we got we got, we got something. Get up something brown because we don't need drinking that. We got game thrown up to now SA right you want to do, say yeah, do say but dj come on, let's get them drunk. We want them on the table. Come on, Joe, get some do put them on the table between boys. This is what I would do to them. But you know, don't let you go down by yourself. You go, mr Mr Lea, you please wrap it up. Come on, yeah we know that, Joe. Then how folks with you? Joe? Yeah? And you got you play handball for real? Just keep it. No, you gotta go off, you gotta have ye. But you gotta glove. I don't like the way you trying to make that a joke. Now I'm saying you gotta go out play with the gloves. You don't need no clove hen I'll play none of that ship. Do I come outside of my gloves? Profession he's a professionals now, I mean, are you? Are you good to when you go to the floor and almost straight the deel with I got not only I oh yeah, you professional? I'm not right. You know, I got a couple of things in my hand. Start burning, yo, shot. Let me just tell you something. We really appreciate you, not just and drink chance for the hip hop. Hold on, guys, hold on, guys. Let me just say I actually, when everything happened, I can't say I was disappointed. I guess just say I was like, damn, because for me and you, we've always been great. Yeah, that's what I was saying. I said, you've been the left frack before I said, Yo, that's what it was the same way with me. So I'm on the obviously side like your world. That's for yourself, but for future. Just you know, that's not what we're about. What we about is bigg en up our car. Yeah, that's that's big ship we were about. It's uplifting our culture. And whether you're gonna do a podcast, you're gonna open a fresh fried joint. I'm gonna stand behind it because you know why, that's what the funk we do over here and drink jams. We're here to support, helping hand to our legends space and I'm always stand for that space. So I want you to know that. And I forgave everybody who made the blogs and whatever. It's only one thing I don't forget. It was a comedian thing. He's funny, he said, I'm gonna get. I'm gonna get it's funny though, I feel like, I mean he did. He did, So I'm coming back to comedian Yo yo, comedian girl. He's coming for yo yo yo. Here coming for you, big looking man now. But not for nothing, No, honestly, man. I mean during the time, I ain't gonna lie. I had a fucking ball, had all because it was like it was a learning experience, right, So the whole thing where it was the light because the young boys. You gotta blame them, right because when they say, oh, g you gotta troll, I'm like, what's trolling? So they say you could take this and do this, and so I could do that, right. You were supposed to. You were supposed to, But it wasn't personal. I was. I was just I felt like I had to defend. I had to defend, right, because all right, since we're here right here, when when the statements was said or whatever, right, and it was said to groups, it was said to groups along with my name, but the difference between me and the other groups that was said, I'm by myself. So it put that name and that that that that that that world flunky and non existent with my face. And not only that, my daughters in college. This is number one, Bro, my kids gotta live with that ship. Oh that's your dad, that little you know what I'm saying. So I was like, no, I die before I do that ship. You know what I'm saying. That That's what I was defending. You know what I'm saying, because it wasn't the first time that someone said that. Um, when the clan was making a storm, there was groups that they didn't want. There, there was they didn't really want killer the other groups that was not you know, that was part of the Aphilias whatever you want to call us. They didn't want us. They just wanted to clan. And rightfully so, because it's your show, I don't hear a funk. You can't have whoever you want, but judge my music, judged my career, and I got nothing to say. You could say it's the whack of ship. You could say I'm terrible on screen. Hey do what you do, but a character flaw that is not me. I can't. I can't allow that. And when I walked the prison yard, dudes that got natural life took a pack of cigarettes for me pay me back on time, not because they were scared of me, but as a respect of how I carried myself. So that's what I was defending. And that's why I was so adamant and so and so disappointed. Not angry because I'm going to the penitentiary. I wasn't going to consentually, that was out of it because I know, but there was a time in my life where the result would have been the grave order penitentiary because I would have been smoking that dust and I would have been thinking, these days, a bigger plot. They're trying to kill me there, Loman. I would have been bugging the funk out and then cool. I mean, you wish, but you know what I'm saying, But that's what that was my mentality. What I'm saying. But I'm glad that everything worked out the way it worked out, because it definitely was a blessing. You know what I mean. I'm not gonna be an idiot like you know, you're like, y'all ain't fucking so we brow the motherfucking dirt off the back of this shining I am. I did that before this. I'm gonna tell you some shing. No, this is what I'm saying some ship. And that's why I was like, what the fund is this? Because I remember it was not too long ago. Right after I did Glad, I got a message from one of the pages like yo, pull up and I said, word, here's my math. And then it was months I didn't hear nothing. And then let no, I didn't. I didn't know why. I know, actually I thought you were saying on Joe buttons. OK, let's get to that with what I was when I was as well, yeah, you know what I'm talking about it come on, because but this is what I thought. So I don't know what. It wasn't facts, nothing was facts. It was just what I thought, right, So I'm like, damn it reached out and said come on the show. Then I don't hear nothing. After I give my number. Then months later it's like, I'm a flunking what the full ship? By the way, let's just be clear with you. You know, I know what happened. You said what you said, and you said what you said about sons of men. That's fine, but my whole life calling myself a retard, you know, yeah, but it's the problem you call another person problem. Even if both of y'all were toughting on the bus and you called me, how are you gonna call me? What the moment you call me? You know what I'm saying. You know what I'm saying. That's what I do. I deal with empathy. That's my main thing. I try to see things from not only my point of view, from other people's point in view, and I try to figure it out. And I figured out was Finn, don't listen to you, because it clearly heard you say resistance. He wouldn't have said. But if Finn was also on the back end story, he came in saying, killer army, We're gonna kill the bees. So he was just rambling that he killer be He thought he knew, but he didn't hear the words you said prior, and that was understanding understand how it happy. It happens all the time, but it happened. My thing was like the patsy, who's responsible for letting this ship get released? Right there? Because I normally had to watch this ship And somebody said, who I wrote yourself that is washing draws with cor Craft right now to take him another tendant. I'm gonna tell you. I'm gonna tell you I'm sorry because we were together and we did have a meet and this saying that should have never because it wasn't intense? Is that the way what we was trying to say was, and if you really look at the whole for this, there's no one could be bad. As we said, we have this this dude random rand up one of the apologize to the whole such a sense, That's what we was trying to say. Okay, right, so at that point everybody, and then where did it become? So we're separating Flunky and a non existence? Right? And that's fine. You can feel how you want to feel about about the Sons of Man when you mentioned them, right, because I can't defend no, I didn't mean that though. But what I'm saying is, let me just tell you this. I don't know. I don't know. I still don't. Actually I think flunky is a bad word. That's me. Yeah, but it's a bad word. You know why I killed me? Or when I was a little boy, this bad When I was a little kid, right, my grandmother used to tell me in this world stories, I don't want you to be. You don't be nobody's fucking flunky. You don't be a thief, and you don't be a fucking liar. And also you don't have not nobody a place to stay or something to eat. So those are the things that I look So when that was me, I'm like my grandmothers and her grave, Boy, you better go in the projects and fight and come back with a bus, grandma. My grandma did not say, do not be a retard? What are you talking about? I was in the Big Lift, the ball Chass, Little Everlasting Sheldon, and we all called ourselves the retards, and you know what ship was hanging out the junction boulevard and we all fought for the worm in the tekiller. Okay, okay, okay, So now so now now I know what I'm dealing with. You, I vent so words is semantic to me, Like I don't know. I don't digg into words. Now. It was five or sent words now identified with that. If I identified calling you, you're cool now I know I'm yeah. Um. If I'm calling you, it's like one of the words that we Sometimes we take words and we give it our own meaning to it, and sometimes it means something different than it could be construed. It happens, brother, it happens. You can say the whole hearted. When we had when we spoke immediately when everything started transpiring, he told me, He's like, I didn't say anything back. I didn't know. He didn't understand. I'm like, no, bro, that's that's He's like. He was saying that too, because I learned something. You know what it is. I'm gonna tell you what it is. You can't wait there for one. Let me just give this brother one. It was called Mega called me call Omega said we know you love him? Omega bro that I said, Omega what? Because I didn't I didn't know what he was talking about. That's the way I said that. He and he said the names. Let's say I just say that ship what he told them. It's the first time me and Comega raised our voice to each other he said something I like, I like what the mega said, Chill, I'm a senior to Clip and I didn't even know good team which brother said, Ship, Damn, you're good at what you do, right, Um. But uh we were talking yeah because oh because he with the words right, because I spent I spent a good decent time with June and he has that same problem. You know what I'm saying, And I'm like, what about But I didn't realize said after me and you spoke that time for the first time, right, and we was doing and I was explaining to you where I seen, what where the force was or whatever, and you was like, oh, Ship, I didn't see it that way. And then it was like okay. Then I wholehearted me like I told you once we had understanding and you've seen where I came from. That's all I needed, even like I told you for when we spoke off camera, I said, we don't even got to visit this ship on here because all I wanted as men to know where I stand as a man, and looking at your eyes of how I felt, that don't change how I felt and how we can move forward, don't change because now like I know y'all more now because we went through something you got earlier. I ain't gonna lie. Listen, listen, this is your this is this is your platform. Just in case you don't know it, let me say it again. Reiterated face the basement. You can promote and you got pink toneenails tomorrow, I got the Rugger Road to Recovery Concepts dot com. You can stream. You can stream my music because now they said Jack Villers said that, y'all. So that's the podcasts tell us, tell us about the bast Oh. The podcast is about about recovery, all types of recovery, substance abuse, recovery, career, because we are on the we're all just all all types of mental health recovery. Just just if you broke your leg and they're putting you on pills, and that's what happens. They take away the pills the next thing you know, you're looking for the fix and now your stone code dope head, you know what I mean. So it's just about just getting a community to share information and say hold on, you don't just what you can get a little help and maybe if you are going you you you at the point in overturn let's slow it down a little, one step at a time, just to a smooth level. And that's it. And as long as I do that, I feel like my job is done on that. As far as the music, UM, I got iso Mestrical Concepts where I streamed my music. UM yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah yeah, that's what I heard. You have to do, create your own website and tell me to come here and um stream your own music. So that's what I do, mestric Concepts, and um, I have a joint. I actually have a record out right now called Mercy Made Me. It's Rockness is on the hook and um I got about it all j Pain on it and I guess Mickey Facts is on it. Oh yeah, with Petty Cracking and Cracking Dutch. I got a drink with him, shout out to me and goals got a record coming out to yo. What's up? I would love for you to get on a joint cam. Can we get the Come on man, I'm saying we can call it just like a song. We're gonna make it. We're gonna let's check it out with the shows. Funky the song shot him and Norviega Flunky Color, the Funky that's do what's ye takes us send me some ship. Yesterday I was so mad because I was like, Damn, I don't want to write like I just gotta walk. No, I'm gonna write you could I get my ship back? Shot? You shut up? He was always take a shot with us. Alight, cool, chee the weeze, Papa Cheese. Who's going down? But it's mad. It's good, but it's steaks. So I don't want you don't want to smoke with nobody on versus let's keep it real versus. The only person I could do a versus with his myself A k to rougets show Lord's Generation versus man show and h he's regga this. Yeah, but you know what I meant, he would come out. He would together though. Yeah, that's that's local vicious, but that's not the same thing that's not here. I would, I mean, honestly, the only lot a really really I think would it be fun? Probably because he's probably been around. It has to be somebody have an extensive an extensive record, you know what I'm saying. I have albums I have featured, So it has to be somebody that has that type of body of work. Um, maybe somebody like Bleak. I mean, I could see that. I'm not calling out anybody I'm saying, you say, you know, because that would be that would be saying our old records. If I was calling him out, I'd say, spits some new ship and we go right down. So that's something different going right now. But anybody in my category, I ain't jumping out the window. I ain't saying I want to go out. You came, I said his name, I said, I feel like he's the only one that could probably get in the ring with me. You gotta think a k the rugged shall On and On ship is real Man shall Furious Single co Defendants, Uh Show, Improved jay Z, Big Daddy came, Little Vicious if you want to party, and sure, it's a lot of records I've done seven oh two that got forgotten about. Maybe, but when you hear him motherfucker's it's like it's and and and and and I don't think that anybody besides myself. I don't know if I could say he wanted to nine, I think he's I didn't. I didn't was that I was now you your manager right now? You know? But honestly, right other than him. Let's let's let's break it down right. If you go with Criss Cross, absolutely not. Are you going with actually Chris Cross the only thing? It's only one? How you're going too fast? He already, soldier boy, alright he did. Alright, hip hop hip hop will be talking say me against the hip hop er. Don't put me say Chris Cross because one thing Cris Cross one passed away. We can't. Yeah, you can't do it. You can't do it. I mean as the what you got, I went too far after that is what you're gonna do. Let's think about this. Can a little bit that's called sound class sound okay, so a sound class not a versus the other the other artists that could possibly I'm thinking from that time that that would have that a much that much credits do they need, you know? I mean, don't count the songs that if we wrote for people that if you can do those suits because you know my ghostwriting says, we didn't even talk about that, but you are ghostwriting stories and you ain't telling us I wrote Raven simone album. Come on man, we're going wrong here right? What read the credit? Ell Yeah, Mr Elliott and me was the writers for Raven Simone from the Cosby Show. We're about and you're not gonna talk about this. I mean, it is what it is, the first day of school, ravens the frame and check the credit. It would have to be somebody that's been around for a while, that has several albums. And the only reason I say somebody like to the caliber of Bleek is because he has big records with jay Z. But if he takes them records away and it's just me and his records, I don't think anybody could I like it. I mean, and it's not a shot because this is stuff that's done already, So I'm not saying if a DJ could do that and put them together and play it out. But it's also the type of m C. I'm a different type of MC than a lot of these dudes. They don't share the pain I share. They can't relate to what I'm talking about, Like they don't know, like they got to liver my balls and scraped my driding cough, Like you don't know what it's like to take a fucking piece of meat and bread and wrapping and plastic and put it on the stock and tied to the fucking heat of the eat. You can't funk with me. You're Nigga's living in fake land, not him particularly, but that's just how I failed as an artist, as an MC. But that's the old catalog versus Then you got this new world ball ship that Nigga just got smoked overnight. And if Nigger want to talk about wrap for today, I'll smoke him there too. So I mean, I ain't turned down no college. If Nigga wants to smoke, I'm gonna bring it. But just know what you're getting into. I've been around a long time and I was learned. I learned from the best. I learned from the best. Brother was the whole clan getting jews from them? Well, it was getting jews from Kane Well, it was getting jews from Fred Williamson's. Well was l L. It's like my arsenal are the people that I talked to and that gave me the tools and know and think who I am and move hard more. It ain't nobody that has that. If they do, like, bring them out, but you don't want it with a little vicious all right, we at, But then we only got one song together. But let me ask you this, what about a little. Is this straight hip hop? Was just legend because I've never seen a reggae reggae I gotta get my But you mean on dream chance? Is this straight hip hop? Want? I want to he might be some different ship right now? Yeah, it was sufficious. Here's my man. We talked about with Red Alert last week and we talked, Yeah, that's my boy. I'll get yeah, yeah, but I can't do it first. But even Visius, that's my boy. But you don't got enough albums with me. And that's reggae. You know what I mean? I got a k to Rugged show Lost Generation Lowe. Look, come on, man, I'm not bro bro. I'm just come on nor me. That's like coloring book raps like you want me to battle niggers, that's like coloring like I wanna let me do somebody that's been busy, Like I've brat with Big El, I brat with Big Al in hell mons. None of them niggers could do that. That's real, none of them not. And I don't want to. I'm not seeing I don't want to do like I'm taking shot. But I'm just saying we go with facts. It's not personal. Mury Over here somewhere. It's not enough. He can't compete with my catalog. Come my category could do it. Keith Murray just had it with Fresgro. Absolutely not that albums, but let's go. I got five albums plus mix tapes and Fijians. I got five all charted except for my independent. When I started my independent albums, that was the greatest story never told. When I started my own independent label in two thousand and three, I started this path. So I've been trying to get my websites and stuff. Some suit out and three. I had bottom up the movement. I had songs like the Dust Jews. I had Bonn and Mama Killed the Man. So that's a whole underground. That's that's just something that not even touched. It's like if we do it that way, because there's certain ways you do it. They say you picked twenty songs, You go for twenty songs. I got forty songs that I comported, so I can go twice. That's why I said the only person I would do versus with is myself Rugged show versus man Chaw. But I ain't got those types with numbers, like, let's be for real. You know what I'm saying for a business like them, they want so it's not about m C and it's about well it could be, it could be. It just has to be the right pair of Yeah. I mean because right now, look they got who Cane and Caress. That's amazing, amazing, and I'm like, I'm here. Yeah, let's wrap it up ready, Yoh, ain't your should before we go, We're gonna take another shop. Let's go dj June. You gotta take another shot, brother, because make man proud. Yeah, because he dj' red too. That's the Red Man was about flowers. You got gold fucking flowers. Oh this is so beautiful. Yeah, man, you please, it's like it's bad. I want to I ain't even giving it to nobody. It's not you know, you gott get it. We're just starting this. Yeah, but things like this, it's like the kids sticking up the top five of who we gave this fire real ship. I can't take a shot. I mean, yeah, it's dope. It's dope. That's big. Deservable, so matric this is very I so matting right there. The fucker that just said deservable, Yeah, I like that word. I'll take it. That word. You can make that with you, bro. That's a good never right now, first time drink Shamp's dictionary. You started for all the words you're making. We're all with all the with all these slangs and everything, and you give the meanings to the words. You guys mock up concept. Yeah, but see since this is a new minor day, uh music. But I gotta get some shoutouts first and foremost show follow me on Instagram shot underscore Rugged six. He got all, this is your platform, and I want you to know that I'm gonna keep looking at me in your eyes. And no, it was accepted prior to the yeah, that's that's not what we're doing. It was actually bigger up. It was like, now, not get it from that point, but some signs when you see things and it could be in one world that everything else disappears. So now it makes sense when you watch it. She's oh he was saying that, yo, it was actually actually added to them, Like damn. He hadn't even apologize, said the fucking the air. I get it, but I was just like, like, I didn't get apologized to, So I said, I didn't even get apology for none of this ship, don't I ain't it. But but you always thinking and the reason for is because your legends. And the thing about it is the platform is for legends. We are not for you know what I'm saying, God, the god bodies that come to most of them, Mecha number seven for the first two days we are like, that's the God too. Were for the people that's been here as cold ministers. That's what we're here for. You know what I'm saying, Like, I never say I'm not God body, not once I elevated the same way everyone elevated. That's why my first question to you was big turn hood. Look and when they go up state they turned blood or Muslim. It's because my knowledge of self has stayed the same. That's peace, and I will never change it. I'm sorry well right now because but no real talk shot. That's why I fell back. I stood back because I'm confident in who I am as a man like wise, and I want you to know that this is your platform. Any time you ever felt offended by this platform or whatever you call this platform, no no, no, we're here. Were you under the Muslim Master number seven right now? No, no, no, no, no, no, no Gods exactly right here and just for future reference, if you ever feel offended anything, I'm gonna call you. Now. Yeah, I'm gonna call you. It's different. It's different because we have an understanding now, so now if but we've been had an understanding because no, no, no, listen, God bless me for saying this. I could be mad. I could be. But you know me and you, we've been always this way. I've always seeing you when you said every time I'm seeing I was a part of that, seeing you and saying, yo, what's sick. Yeah, I wanted you to prosper. I wanted you and I would that would never change. So I just wanted you to know it. Accept that's real always, and that's how I stand. You know what I'm saying. We're not example, we moved to it. We gotta understand it. It's a beautiful relationship. Now. Look, we're happen a there's some some couple of words that got took in the wrong way. Now we heah, we're doing like man and it's it's it's infinite opportunities for everybody right here. I mean, I'm happy. Thank you hold off checking the picture, Let's go.
